I don't enjoy the path, its cold and covered in ice. It makes my paws cold. So might as well take to the roofs.
I find a stairwell leading up the outside of a building. The roof tops have always offered a fun way to cross the holds. My paws tread lightly across the layer of snow that coats the roof tiles and my fur.
I leap the last part of the climb up onto the roof, enjoying the burn in my legs. I look out over the rooftops, admiring the beauty of Avanthal. I can see the heat coming up from the Winterflame hold and the boat building yards of Coolwater. I spy a meat pie cooling on a window sill. No one seems to be around and the smell is overpowering.
I leap the rooftops towards the house, dodging the chimney stacks. When I reached the house across from the pie, the smell became mingled with something else.
A human, dressed like a chef, now stood watch over the pie. He was talking to someone. I crouched down, perking my ears to try and hear their conversation. He was talking to a woman.
The woman walked towards the pie. She carried a baby in one arm and with the other she sampled the pie, laughing at a joke the chef said. That pie wasn't for me, I shouldn't have thought of taking it. The family needed it more than me. My stomach hurt, but I cannot bring myself to take the pie.
I leap onto the next roof and continue my exploration.
