Physical Description:

Doros stands five feet tall with a stocky and wide frame, and as most Isur of the Coglias clan he is covered with a heavily muscular body widely patterned with silvery veins. His thick skin is pale and silver-like under certain angles of lighting, and may even seem to have a slight blue metallic tint under others, although it is generally smooth to the touch. His left arm is dense and of a deep green color, much like polished emerald covered in silver veins that stand out. It is marked by Izurdin, in the form of an elaborate tattoo. His hands are strong and large for his height, and the fingers broad as the rest of his body. His face may seem intimidating to many, due to certain rough and bony features, as well as a quite prominent browridge which oft covers his green eyes with a dark shade. Despite of his diminute height, he can be quite an imposing figure.

Following the Isur tradition for appearance, he usually keeps his face clean-shaven, albeit sometimes allowing it to grow short, for all of the years away from home have softened his grooming code. Likewise, he prefers to keep his brown hair short, as most male Isur do. He tends to dress with what is most comfortable to himself, but not hesitating on choosing clothing based on what is most customary to the culture he is trying to immerse himself in, but always with a personal touch. For work, however, he likes to be shirtless to better bear the heat of the forge, and he really enjoys showing off his muscular body to the public, as he treats it like a piece of his work, trying his best to bring it closer to perfection and the likeness of Izurdin.

Character Concept:

Doros is quite progressive for one of his race, yet that does not mean his personality is much more open than the conventional cold, withdrawn Isur. Despite of his views contradicting the isolationist ways of his folk, he too also tends to be more withdrawn with other races, and less so with his kin. He shows a subtle admiration for those races which appear to be more civilized, having tamed the wilderness with imposing structures. On the other hand he only views those that try to live in peace with nature as foolish and barbaric.

Unlike what is stereotyped of the Coglias clan, he likes to take pride on his patience, perhaps wrongly so, as scorn is the expression most often stamped on his face, but perhaps more often than intended by himself due to his prominent browridge giving him a more overbearing look. Nonetheless, rude, cold and imperative are common words used to describe the tone of his voice, maybe in part due to his heavy accent. It may be hard to steal a smile from him, but it is also hard to truly anger him. Many tend to believe he is always unhappy due to his usual coldness. He does have an emotional side behind the thick skin, however, which can become more obvious to those who ignore his unpleasant demeanor for long enough to become friends with him. He still bears much sorrow for what happened to his wife, and it is hard for him to talk about it. Most Isur take long to let go of the past, and he is no different on this matter.

Belonging to the Coglias, he is very militant and believes in the use of brute force when necessary, but not for purposeless destruction, as for him that would be the mentality of barbaric and uncivilized races unlike the Isur. He knows well the power of coercion, and he believes that leadership naturally shifts to the strong and talented. As such, he strives to make the most out of his body, and although he was nothing beyond fine at Isurian wrestling in his younger years, he has interest on learning new forms of combat, as strength by itself is not sufficient without skill.

Being abroad has given him a wider perspective than what is expected of the Coglias, and he's found himself being requested for work as a smith more often than expected, often finding himself on the forge to finance his life abroad. He's invested much on this field since he left the Kingdom, as smiths while widely common are also always necessary, and people always favor him on that field for being an Isur. Working in the forge reminds himself of what he truly is, and it also serves as means to devote himself to Izurdin.

Doros enjoys visiting impressive locations, and sees cities and large fortifications as a symbol of the virtue of a people. For him nature has the role of providing raw material waiting to be shaped by the sentient races and turned into something significant. He finds it worthy of respect, but hardly something to be venerated. He does enjoy a good hunt in the wilds, however, as a traditional sport of the Isur that can keep him entertained at times.

He may not be deeply religious as those of the Vizerian clan, but he greatly respects Izurdin, and being abroad has actually brought him closer to the deity on his devotion, as some sort of refuge to maintain his unique identity as an Isur as well as to sometimes escape the often frightening foreign cultures that surround him. As such he respects Izurdin the most, but is also open to getting to know more of the other deities of Mizahar.

Character History:

Doros was born in the Coglias clan, and like all of his clan and racial brethren he was subjected to a very intense physical training since an early age. As a young child he already showed traces of a subversive personality, and had trouble being as disciplined as his brothers, especially when it came to tasks he saw as purposeless. He excelled in strength training since early, but was often frustrated at his lack of technique when it came to wrestling. He grew up with expectations to join the Hammer like many of the Coglias Clan, but his lack of discipline always kept him distant from achieving it.

On his teenage years he had many love interests, but one Isur girl managed to completely earn his passion with her beauty and intelligence. She was Hani of the Pitrius clan, a promising mage with great talent on a few fields of personal magic, and after long courting her and disputing her attention with an Isur of her own clan, he earned her hand as his wife. For years they were a very happy couple, and those were the happiest days of his life. But it all ended tragically one day.

She died suddenly, in what was called a "magics accident" in her work, but Doros had a hard time believing it. He was devastated and could barely deal with the thought of losing his loved one, especially so young. Isur marry for life, their feelings are long-lasting, and her death ruined his life. He decided to investigate into it, and the more he discovered, the more he found himself ensnared in an endless web of Pitrius lies and intrigue. When finally figuring out the possible culprits for her death, he raged, and his painful heart screamed for revenge. But he could never prove it, and he was blinded by emotion, consumed in his grief. He wanted revenge, but Izurdin illuminated him with patience. Between the option of commiting murder and forever tainting the name of his family or leaving the Kingdom to seek distance from the ones he hated, he chose the latter, and sought permission to leave Sultros. He still had his parents and siblings, and his family could not be destroyed by his actions.

Far away from Sultros he found some solace in his work. He took upon himself the duty of bringing his industrious Isur nature to the aid of those who needed in Mizahar. Deep down he simply used that excuse as a distraction to travel away from his pain. Hopefully one day the Kingdom would be left behind in his past, as would Hani, but the sorrow will not so easily let go of his heart.
