“My nerves are bad to-night. Yes, bad. Stay with me.
Speak to me. Why do you never speak? Speak.
What are you thinking of? What thinking? What?
I never know what you are thinking. Think.
I think we are in rats’ alley
Where the dead men lost their bones.”
T.S. Eliot, The Waste Land

Physical Description
Flesh, hair, and presentation are but tools to those who wish to deceive, and Jaadis wields her tools most skillfully. Naturally red hair with nary a lock out of place compliments a elegant, peaceful countenance; lively grey eyes are accentuated by touches of mascara; full lips are rouged a deep, dark red; and flawless skin runs pale as pearls, starkly contrasting against Jaadis's darker-skinned cousins. The only thing marring her white skin is a tattoo of a rose, lying prominent against her right shoulder.
Where another girl might have chosen lighter garb to put on a pretense of playful innocence, Jaadis indulges in sin. Leather, silk, damask - her clothing is selected for the dark allure it provides, the evil thoughts it plants in the heads of others. Have some decency, others might say - and, to that, Jaadis says have some courage. And, oh, this girl certainly does.

Mental Description
They say that every smile has a story, but Jaadis’s smiles have nothing but secrets. Old lessons from childhood have been revived and made routine, a pretty smile here and a flattering comment there made to give the impression of true ladyship. But there is no hiding the black allure she has, the impression of being a true and independent woman who likes to indulge in the darker side of life. In a way, it only makes her more desirable - danger and mystery can be like a drug to a man, and Jaadis has more than her fair share of an entourage.
As for the truth, well - ambition drives Jaadis, and a silver tongue and clear vision only make her all the more dangerous. Words come easily to this one, who blurs the line between lie and truth while talking and enjoys nothing more than a good verbal spar. Emotions are naught by tools to her, and the feelings of lust and love foreign concepts. When her mother condemned her to a life of being the outcast Jaadis learned how to suppress her true emotions and use reasoning and logic to help her accomplish her goals. Relationships, as a result, are seen as currency - to be loaned out and paid back on according to what best suits her. In a word, Jaadis is the consummate politician, and one who allows nothing to stand in her path.
Sometimes, Jaadis feels something gnaw at her. She doesn’t know what it is, or why she feels so empty, but it is a secret she keeps from everyone, even her family.

History
The story of Jaadis began on the second day of the new year when she was pulled bloody and screaming from her mother’s womb. Those present for her birth made for an odd pair; a Sitai mother and a Radacke physician, working in tandem to breech birth this child. The father was nowhere to be found.
Rumors about the oddity of this child’s birth spread mere days after the event. To this day, Rosamay Sitai Radacke insists that her child was trueborn, and her former husband, Abram Radacke (whom she married only eight days before the birth), has always backed her up. But both parent were dark of skin and hair, and the child Rosamay bore was both flame-haired and pale as porcelain. That fact, combined with the report that Rosamay had returned to live at Bloodflower without her husband, led many to seek a different explanation.
As a result, Jaadis grew up in a household of whispers and stares. Her mother, who discreetly divorced Abram somewhere down the line, was seen as a failure to her family, and Jaadis was seen as collateral. While there were no outward repercussions, family members would avoid her in the hallways and say naught by a few words when forced to speak with her. Even her own mother left her - Rosamay would closet herself away for weeks in her bedroom with her ‘favorite friend’ (a bottle of rum). For an adolescent child, this all proved very maddening...and, for a time, Jaadis did indeed go mad.
Eventually, however, a tipping point was reached. On the verge of being disowned, Jaadis came a realization and sought out her uncle. By some silvertongued feat she managed to persuade him to accept her back into the fold and provide the backing for her business.
Since then, Jaadis has been a good girl - well, perhaps ‘good girl’ is not the right term, but she has been the ideal dynasty child. Ladylike but not naive, flirtatious but no slut, and utterly devoted to her family - Jaadis has been all this and more. And the ambition - oh yes, Jaadis has that in droves. The political arena of Kenash has a new challenger.

Location: Bloodflower Plantation
Suite: Jaadis maintains a simple suite towards the back of Bloodflower. The right wall is ruled by an elegantly slim four-poster bed, which is decorated with scented silk sheets and lavish throw pillows. At the foot of the bed is a chest in which Jaadis stores much of her things. To the left of the bed is a small bookcase, a chair, and a table, the last of which being adorned with a candle, paper, writing utensils, and a strange little unopened kit. To the right is a tri-fold vanity mirror and a closet, for her perfumes and clothes respectively.
On the opposite side of the room, separated by several tasteful rugs, is a small fireplace and a couch from which to enjoy it. A bay window occupies the back wall, creating a small alcove in an otherwise square room.
The room is decorated in hues of peach, brown, and white, which make for a dashing contrast to the occupant herself.
