PM to join Upon the Road We Meet (Maduro)

Levissa was in a hurry, riding for days and days, but at the end she needed to stop and rest. As she took the time, she met a man with powers she did not expect.

While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

OOCSo sorry for the super late post :(

Maduro seemed to shy away from the question about his occupation. It was most interesting. She was curious but she decided against asking to deeply about it. Besides, she didn't give him much detail about what she did for a living either. He probably would think of her as the typical hunter - which she was not. She couldn't hunt in reality, just simply dealt with ghosts.

Levissa sat down across the man with the campfire at her side, her legs folded in a comfortable position. Maduro had prepared their meal on flat stones and she took a bite. It was good and she felt a little guilty for taking advantage. She probably should pay him back in some way. Not sure how, though. "Thank you, for your generosity, really, and sorry for the trouble. Can I pay you back? Maybe in mizas or something?"

Now that she paid some attention, she noticed the musky scent wafting in the air. It was very distinctive, if she had to say, like nothing she smelled before. The scent was slightly masked by the smell of smoke and burning log, but it was still strong.

"I just don't want you to think any less of me."

Levissa shrugged with a light smile. "Try me."

Don't worry about it, the pleasure of your company is fine by me.

When Levissa shrugged with a smile and said try me Maduro responded.

You see I'm an Aurist, I can see the world In ways normal people cannot. It's made things difficult for me, to know who people really. Who's genuine and who's not, you learn an awful lot about what people want you to see and what they really are.

I thought I'd share since you asked,

He let it out that he was in fact a Mage, but it wasn't a terribly frightening power. But it could be misunderstood. Often times he revealed bits and pieces of himself to learn more about the other person. He liked to build a level of understanding and trust with people or at least empathize.

So what kind of bad guys do you chase down? You said you were a hunter, but I'm thinking your a bounty hunter judging from your sword and gear

Maduro wanted to get the ball rolling so to speak, he wasnt sure what to make of her or what she thought of him. He wanted to take the flirtation up to another level, by creating a mood. So he spun this feeling from Djed, it was one part sensation and one part urge something that would tug gently yet firmly on her strings. When he figured out the feeling, he whisked it into her consciousness

He would use an Emptional Responseit was a feeling of Desire and lust

It would be a slow sensation that would snow ball getting stronger and more potent as time progressed a feeling that would slowly surge through her body.

He wasn't sure how Levissa would react to this, but he tried to keep it so low key to make it as hard as possible to distinguish between the seductive allure of his charms or something else.

Levissa laughed lightly. An Aurist? That's what he was ashamed of? For a moment there she thought he might be some kind of thief or assassin or slaver. Compared to all that, magic users didn't seem all that had. Well, then again, she wasn't the best person to judge considering that she was a mage herself. An in her opinion, her magic was more peculiar and eerie than Auristics. Aurists read people, while Levi talks to the dead.

"Not exactly," she answered his question. "I'm a . . . ghost hunter, to say it simply. I travel around and try to return them to where they belong - which is not this world. So, don't worry about being an Aurist, really. My job is far weirder."

Suddenly, her body tensed. Levi's head whipped to her side, trying to figure out where the chill had came from. She was sure there was no spirits just a few chimes ago. It was a familiar feeling - the icy finger down her spine, a soft tingle in the air that made her hairs stood on its end. Really, she shouldn't be surprised. There were countless ghosts wandering this path, lost and unable to move on and it was nothing odd for them to seek her out. Not that she would be any help except for sending them back to Dira. Pressing her lips together, Levi turned back at the man.

Her sudden outburst delayed his magic but she felt it anyhow. Levi had no idea what was happening but something stirred inside of her. It was hard to tell. It was not there some time ago, yet it was now. She shook it away, the best that she could. But whatever left was still enough to make her blush. The girl cleared her throat nervously, "An Aurist, huh? Maybe you can teach me a thing or two?" Her voice was smooth and controlled as she tried to occupy the silence.

Ghost Hunter?

He had never heard of such things, he knew of the dead sometimes not leaving but the process of how and why was beyond him. She didn't seem surprised or shocked in his confession of being a wizard, actually her reaction was just the opposite like she was let down expecting something more.

It's admirable work, don't know much about it but your doing everybody a favor by sending them back.

He noticed Levi had sprung her head around when he had cast his spell, he observed her body language and noticed that she was blushing. That her voice had changed from casual to smooth and casual, it appeared as though his spell had gripped her, this kind of conditioning worked like a slow but potent venom as it worked itself to it's peak. She could shake it for momentarily relief but things of that nature did come back to haunt.

I could teach you what I know but I'm afraid it will cost you.

He looked around playfully

Ill tell you what, if you give me an evening of your time ill give you an afternoon of mine.

I think that's fair what do you think?

He beamed Levi a smile as she was still blushing

It was a good offer considering Auristics was magic and people with magic were few and far between. Part compliment part straightforward request, to him a night with her was worth an exotic magical art.

"Not everybody thinks that way," she pointed out as she slipped her hair behind her ear. Some people had thought that her line of work was odd and disturbing. After all, businesses with the death could not possibly good.

"Cost me what?" Levi asked dubiously. It never occurred to her, but she guessed it was fair. Magic don't come easily and the least she could do was pay him back. Not that she had a lot of gold in hand.

But apparently, that's not what the man had in mind.

She nearly choked on her fish as he stated his proposal. Her hand grabbed for the mug of ale and chugged the liquid down her throat. Too late that she realized she should have not done that, but it was the only source of drink nearby. Levi cleared her throat nervously, still not sure what to say. "What do you mean by evening?" Of course, she knew what it meant but she simply wanted to make sure she didn't misheard.

When she nearly choked on her fish Maduro wasn't sure what to make of it, maybe he had been to bold but then on the other she wanted magic. It wasn't just a superior form of insight it was also a very lucrative profession even for the humblest of magi. And to impart what he knew to her, was to open her to another world just like spiritism but instead of just seeing, she could understand.

Maduro sort of rubbed the back of his head and smiled a bit, he was obviously a bit embarrassed by her actions. It wasn't everyday a woman choked on her meal and slammed an ale at his advances.

He took a deep breath and exhaled

I would like to sleep with you, if your interested.

If you say no ill respect your decision, heartbroken maybe but ill survive.
He laughed a bit.

He thought that was a pretty good answer all things considering, sometimes achieving what you want requires a direct and bold approach he might have bit more then he could chew. Regardless of the outcome a no was ok, it was in the grand scheme of things a lot better then no answer at all or not asking.

Maduro would cast one more spell in the awkward cackle of campfire and silence, he'd let his aura of charisma work and shape one last spell. He had used relatively weaker magic, but this time he warped his Djed into a Piercing Thought. It was like a suggestion but not on a subconscious level, in her own words the thought Say Yes was gently caressed into her debating mind.

At what he hoped was the right time.

It was powerful magic that required timing, the phrase he used the silence, the meal he prepared the wet clothing and hospitality up to his offer of teaching magic all led to this one spell so that it may be camouflaged in actions and words.
