A Lone Howl[Sakuya's Diary]

Dear Father,

You have disappeared. Likely you have gone to die in peace. We know you are dead. It has been three seasons since your disappearance. Mother had known about your health. She had known you were sick. I am gratefull she didn't tell me you were ill, for I would only prolong your death to a later date, and bring you more suffering. Mother has told me your dying wish, and I will honor it. I vow to protect her and fill the void you left. I will make sure she is taken care of.

Before I end this page, I want to always watch over mother and I, and lend us your strength. I will accend to your place as pack leader, and care for mother as you have. As I walk the land, I forget not your lessons and advice. I forget not the feel of your fur and the warmth of your hands. I live by your wish, and will honor you to my death.

Dear Father,

Mother has given me your tooth. And as you know this means she has drawn her last breath. I have honored your wish and l've let her die in peace. Mothers death is your grace, for now togeth shall you be, hence forth till the end of eternity. You have no need to worry about me now. I am 9, and am fully ready for the world. I will apply to be a hunter, and will make use of all your lessons.

My only wish is that you and mother embody yourselves in the tooth and guide me. My life will be lived by your standards, and will be judged by your rules. And to mother I owe my life. You gave me life and raised me in her own way. May we meet again in in a better life. No longer will our howls be mixed on their path to the moon, and I now howl alone.
