Yas Valence Heron Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 22 Birthday: 490 AV, 14th Winter Birthplace: Here or there... Appearance: Standing at a very flat six feet tall, this man would remind someone of a well shaven dog. As with any human, there are sharp canines that give a slight hint of a more animalistic diet or at least a childhood that had as such. His frame is medium to small, and it doesn't look like he gets out enough other than a nice stroll around a local park or garden area despite his slightly tanned skin. Blue eyes adorn his face behind some half moon spectacles, and dark red hair flows slightly down to his neck, and seems relatively unkept. There is a direct, diagonal scar on his upper torso and a little burn on his left cheek but that seems to be a direct result of a combative situation. This man has very soft features, and if sad would look like a kicked puppy. Character Concept Yas is actually a curious soul, always inquistive or willing to learn and alot of the time it leads to wonder and excitement. He has a positive outlook on life, despite the previous events in history rattling the world to its core. He can be shy around women, and a little nervous around men but that seems to belay a sheltered childhood. He can be quite an easy person to get along with but when he gets excited it might make a scene. He is quite smart and can do alot of reading, writing, and arithmatic. He is a good man, but does sometimes accept that survival does mean that you must have to do a few things in the dark that no one may appreciate. However, unless it becomes "to the bones" necessary, he will not act upon that impulse. Furthermore, he is not afraid of nor does he outright worship the Gods. It is not that he believes in them either, but when asked he will reply with a: "I've been taught to respect the Gods, but at the same time I don't want to be a preacher or a constant errand doer for a divine being who won't do it themselves." He actually seems to thoroughly enjoy the literary arts and the outdoors, sometimes resulting in finding a great tree and sleeping beneath it. There is also a distinct and notable love for animals, though alot of the time the affection isn't really reciprocated all that well. He does like to experiment with new ideas, and may use his magic to make that happen. He can be quite nice and quite polite, but he does seem to get very nervous around people--especially authority figures. There seems to be something there, but unless directly confronted about it he will not say. There is a strange hatred of Myrian on his part, and they are not at all welcome in his presence. If there is not a good way to get out of that situation, it may turn violent. Character History A direct offspring of Eva "The Heron" Al-Ghameq and Ulric "The Wolf" Archlyte, the latter a bounty hunter and the former a Benshira Eagle Trader. Growing up in sheltered care, Yas' mother took upon herself teaching her son how to survive and even some level of elemental magic in case he ever needed to defend himself. This would continue for some years until the boy was roughly 15 years old, taking it upon himself to disembark from his lonely home and out into the world. It would be a minor note to make, but during this time period he let go of either of his parents' names for the sake of safety and adopted his mother's title of "Heron". This travelling would take him to the port city of Zeltiva, and many other places though he never stayed in a place for all that long, where he went to the university for higher learning. His magic and skills were often kept to himself, and before long he graduated and became a University Alumni. Unfortunately before long, his debts towards the place were outstanding and Yas had to make some money for himself, so the job of a librarian was taken for the next five and a half years until he was free of the place and ready to travel once again. Its only recently that he decided to return to Zeltiva...
