Shin Hatsue is the "light Brother" personality. The two sides have differentiated themselves to the point where they even choose alternate names. Shin used to be just Shin until the second soul was created. Now, Shin learns to be negotiable with Hatsue. Shin is the patient, nonjudgemental intellect of the two. He has a deep interest in the arts of summoning and plans on adventuring out into the world, hoping to advance in the dark arts.
Despite his practice, Shin is not at all "evil". Or what one determines as evil. He does have his dark side in the fact that he doesn't deem one as good or bad. Shin will mingle and interact with anyone despite their alignment, given they don't give him a reason to dislike them. His views on whats wrong is more on the whole then the singular. But he cannot watch someone suffer in front of him or be tortured (unless its from him, in which the alternate form Hatsue is doing that)
Pros
- Knowledge in summoning
- neutral alignment
- intellectual
- friendly nature
Cons
- Gullible
- Anti Confrontational
- Lack of Survival Skills
The alternate soul that inhabits Shin. Hatsue is the "dark brother" that appears in the Akalaks once they get older. He appeared during Shins Right of Passage, taking full control and using combat skills that Shins anti confrontational trait lacked the ability to use. He is the aggressor. The yin to Shins yang but like his roommate, he is not evil. Of course, he does have one foot treading the lines that separate good and evil.
Hatsue has the hand-to-hand combat and hunting skills that helps Shin survive. When it comes time to fight, Hatsue is summoned and its showtime. He handles the battles, and also the hunting when it comes time to eat. Hatsue enjoys the hunt. He thrives on it and takes his time to stalk the prey when he's doing it. Throughly examining his prey before pouncing and bringing home the bacon.
Hatsue of course has the summoning ability and all skills Shin has, but he lacks the intellect. All things Magic is left onto the "light brother." Hatsue is just happy handling the rough work. He also does not mind letting Shin have full power over their path in life as he really could care less what he does as long as he gets to do what he is good at.
Pros
- Combat savvy
- Firm attitude for needed situations
- Hunter
Cons
- Lacking in intellect
- Sometimes too aggressive
- Has no leash on the things he says
