Makaan is your typical Isur female, albeit slightly taller than the norm. Standing at about five foot two and weighing in at around 155 lb, her body is representative of the archetypal Isur - toned and as though it were chiseled out of a marble slab by a master mason or sculptor. Her skin is palish with the classical tints of blue and veins of silvery characteristic of her people, although her facial bones don't protrude as much. The more superstitious of the company she kept in her younger years liked to credit superstitious beliefs for her unusual, but remarkably beautiful appearance. Hailing from the Terras Clan also means that her primary (right) arm is purple, and as with all Isur, is the densest part of her body. On it are the tattoos and runes signifying the Gnosis of Izentor, Izurdin's gift to Makaan at birth. No other tattoos or birthmarks can be found on her body. By far her most defining feature is her face - her beady eyes and small lips are somewhat uncharacteristic of your average Isur, any some have suggested that this may be the result of inbreeding (The Dhani and the Vantha have been identified as potential suspects) at some point in the Orehammer family's past although they take great offense at this. Two scars also run across the left side of her face, a painful reminder of an unfortunate accident in her early days of being in the family forge. As regards to aesthetics, Makaan, will dress simply and prefer a tunic over a dress any day, save for special occasions. She admires body art and will, every once in a while, buy herself a simple necklace, bracelet, bangle or vambrace but seldom anything more fancy than that. Her hair isn't that long, so she does not really tie it - only brushing it aside with her fingers when it gets in the way of her vision or irritates her when at work. She has some sense of appropriation for these things and will dress accordingly with the occasion, but she considers this going out of her way. On a day-to-day basis, it's normal to see her going about her business in pants, boots and a simple sweatshirt with the right sleeve torn off to make her primary arm visible to all, broadcasting her Isurian heritage.

There are few words to describe Makaan as an individual with her own personality. For starters, she's Isur - and normally that'd be as far as one could normally go, for the Isur are at large, a homogeneous people. Like the rest of her kin, she's stoic and prefers to have her own will and sense of direction accord with nature. She's austere, traditionalist and will often come out as a snob or a grouch, but in fact only chooses to "remain indifferent", as she would think, to keep herself from losing touch with reason and virtue. Makaan minds her own business, and since her early years was conditioned by the Orehammer family to value the content or substance of anything, rather than the form. Because of this, she'll seldom take notice of frivolous pomp of vain fancies, if not downgrade and demean them altogether. She cares little for what others think of her or her people, so long as her own sense of virtue and morality are not compromised. She holds filial piety and honor in high esteem, but also maintains a degree of cynicism to make it somewhat difficult for her to trust others - the typical Isur psyche. Although not exactly condescension, she's learned not to rely on others as much as she must rely on her own strength and ability. Life for her is austere, serious, devout and must be lived in accordance with set principles. Raised as an Orehammer, Makaan was born into the Terras Clan's matriarchal community in the Kingdom of Sultros. Her father was a merchant, and her mother a potter at one of the local guilds. She belongs to a middle-class bloodline - not wealthy, nor destitute. The third of five children, she quickly developed a mind that grew more and more curious and critical of the world around her. She questioned, and often liked to immerse herself in observing what she did or saw around her, so long as it wouldn't have her divert from what was tasked her. She values focus, and reverence to Izurdin whom the Orehammers offer praise to on a continual basis with their never-ending repetition of hymns and psalms. Ultimately though, and above all else, it is in fact this sense of curiosity that betrays her. Makaan takes great pride in her heritage and the traditions of her people, but deep down in places she'd rather not discuss with people, her curiosity sends her attention to the realms beyond the kingdom. Like any Isur, she prides natural beauty and elegance, faith and greatness. She longs to explore and experiment, to expand her borders and the boundaries of Isurian society in Mizahar, and carve out for herself her own legacy - a saga she fantasizes about where she too, like Izurdin but also in His name, like the proud people of old, can lay claim to a glory and serenity so grand that words may no longer appropriate it. To summarize, Makaan is a stoic who hails from the middle echelons of Isurian society. Because of this her life was relatively calm and routine, which has allowed her the liberty to begin questioning and being critical of everything, even her own faculties. She values tradition, hard work and piety to both Providence and family (not to be confused with attachment or a physical / geographical tie to them, but rather in spirit or by upholding the family name and what it stands for), and doesn't even consider breaking or even risking those bonds an option. But like most sentient beings with faculties of thought and intellect, she too desires for something greater, something beyond what life has initially drawn for her, but remains convinced that the only way to attain this "greatness" through her own effort, through accordance with higher principles, and through an entrenched sense of self-reliance. A little bit on her hobbies, aspirations and interests: Makaan shows great interest and admiration for the Isurian crafts of carpentry, masonry and carving ornaments. She's also critical and very keen on the ways of blacksmiths, metallurgy and weaponry and although not an avid fan of "glorious war" or similar fancies, she recognizes the importance and virtue of knowing how to wield a weapon properly (Her personal preference is for crushing weapons, like hammers, mallets and other blunt tools). She's a craftswoman at heart, but also a faithful follower of Izurdin and practical in the sense that she recognizes the importance of defending oneself, and appreciating the finer things in life when circumstances permit. Olorin-Maiar, (Lit. Olorin's Hammer) The Ceremonial War Hammer of the Orehammer Family Makaan carries with her one of the most prized items of her family - one of less than a dozen ceremonial hammers. Half war hammer and half medium-sized rock crusher, the hammer is an ornately crafted tool and weapon often used in the family's rituals of praise to Izurdin. The process of crafting one of these is a long and arduous process. It starts with smelting a family-held secret recipe of metals to form a unique alloy. Then during the forging of the actual hammer, prayers and hymns to Izurdin are recited and a small trickle of the molten steel is spilled onto the anvil as an "offering". Only when the complete item is hammered out and cooled can the carving of the unique design begin. Each hammer carries unique runes and symbols of the Orehammer that crafted it, and no two hammers are the same. The weapon stands at about two and a half feet in height, and weighs in at around 25-30 pounds. Although serving a ceremonial purpose, the hammer was originally meant to be a weapon of war and is more than capable of crushing rock, warping steel and smashing bone in the hands of a trained and powerful wielder. Whether it is to be wielded with both hands or with one depends entirely on the style and strength of the Orehammer using it. Makaan constantly personalizes and "refines", so to speak, her hammer whenever she gets the chance. It remains a kind of ongoing project, and at some point in the future she may want to confer it with gnostic or magical properties to enhance it further. Upon receiving it however, Makaan noted no remarkably supernatural or paranormal abilities. Besides the carvings (the value of which is mostly sentimental anyway), the only noticeable feature of the hammer is its durability.
