The Lyceum

Another tribute to Zeltivan culture is the Lyceum, which opened in 474 A.V. as an improvement upon the higher education of Denval previous to their rediscovery by Kenabelle Wright. Currently, the Lyceum attempts to lure scholars from the rest of the continent to improve the citizens of Denval and any young scholars willing to travel so far to study. Certainly the oral histories of the Denvali have been transcribed and provide a new level of insight into the lost culture of the Suvan Empire.

Due to its smaller size, the Lyceum offers some basic classes as well as courses designed for students who work with a particular teacher. As yet, there is no degree program like universities of old. Most alumni speak of their studies at the Lyceum and a hodgepodge liberal arts background is assumed. Some specific courses that are offered all of the time are history, anthropology, linguistics, economics, and similar. Magical studies are also available, and while martial magics are the general focus, Denvali magi have incorporated more utilitarian magical studies as well.
