Arieya's eyes were blue which meant she was excited. She was excited that it was her first day of work and couldn't wait to get started. She left Asilynn in the care of get mother, but she took Zyna and Jet with her. She hoped Lusina Frostfawn did not mind. Zyna and Jet were well behaved dogs, never bark unless they're told too or see something alarming. They weren't energetic or overly excited to see the horses either.

They moved quickly into the white elk horse stable. She scanned the room to see all the horses. Mostly windrunners there. Snowflake white and greyish looking ones here and there. She found other horse breeds in the stables too.

Arieya took off the cloak and laid it on the door of an empty stable. She was looking her best today. Her hair was in a besides bun on the top of her head and she had recently washed her dress.

She grabbed a brush and approached the first horse she saw. It was a dapple grey windrunner that was just beautiful. Arieya wandered who it belonged too. As she brushed the horse's coat so delicately she checked to see if it was a mare or stallion. Like she predicted it was a mare.
She switched to a horse mane and tail comb, carefully brushing out the knots in the tail. Her mane seem to fall effortless across the left side.

She than used a face curry comb and softly brushed the face. She finished the grooming with a bristled brush on the mane and tail. Than a soft brush on the coat.

[Job Thread] Working at the White Elk Stables

Arieya was on her second horse now. A stallion with a short mane and a tail that was a little uneven. He wasn't the best looking horse but he was one if the friendly ones. When Arieya entered his stable he greeted her with a loud whiny. He smiled with his eyes."Hello boy, I see that you like company, don't you?" Arieya grinned at the horse. She took the brushes for the face and rubbed them on his face in a circular motion." I think you made my day horse. Thank you." Once she was done, Arieya patted his muzzle.

"Zyna, hand new that brush." Arieya told the dog in Vani. The dog understood. It was the only language they knew. Arieya couldn't speak to them in common, it was always hard for them to understand.

The beautiful Manitora gracefully walked towards Arieya, she had the handle of the brush in her mouth. Zyna dropped the brush into her hand and ran back to her spot by Jet, the two love birds (or dogs) snuggled in a empty stall. They had to be the most adorable couple Arieya's ever seen. The day she introduced Jet to Zyna was like love at first sight. He walked around her twice before attacking her in a friendly way. He was also there to comfort her when she lost the puppies.

Arieya finished brushed his coat in a circular motion too. It was a little but different than the Windrunner's. A little bit more complicated. When she used the bristled brush she had to go a little bit harder than she did with the first horse. She could finish with the soft brush but go over the coat two more times with the bristled brush.

It has been a couple belles and Arieya was already tired. She thought she had picked the easiest job but sadly it wasn't. The job of a groom isn't a walk through the park. Between the dirty buckets that had to be cleaned all the time and fussy horses that don't want a bother, this job was hard. The very first three she had groomed were so genorous, they ignored her most of the time unless she hit a spot they did not like to be touched because it was throbbing just a little from some pain they must've experience. She came across a stubborn stallion that would not just let her do her job. He kicked the bucket, ran out the stable stall and tried bro kick her. She couldn't control him for nothing. It took both of her dogs to bark at him a few times before he gave up and let get scrub him.

She came across a tidal pony who wasn't too friendly either. Arieya believes he thinks he's a dog by his actions. It took her a while to realize he was growling at her. What horse growls? Was that even possible, she did not know bit she made her way out if his stall fast. The last thing she wanted was to be bitten by a crazy pony.

Another highlight of her day was to come across a war horse. He was large and had a lot of muscles in his legs, he had a special saddle that had a funny label. His bridle has ribbons and his tail was braided, nice and tight. His coat was white, but his mane was a nice silver color. It looked like shiny treasure. Anyways, he was smart. As she used the water and brush to clean him, he would direct parts he wanted rubbed by the brush just by wiggling and stomping when she was in the wrong place. Once she reached the spot he wanted he would give a nod and show his wonderful teeth. She wondered who he belonged too because he was a perfect horse. Made her want one of her own, she wished she could get one but sadly had no way of paying for it. Sad.

The sun started to set, and it was getting late. But Arieya wouldn't of noticed because she closed the entrance doors and right now as she cleaned the stalls just to do something extra for the horse, her back was turned towards the windows, her head was low concentrating on the mucky hay. She never did anything like this for her father. When he had horses, she would just feed them and ride them around for exercise. As she cleaned she felt someone politely tap her on the shoulder. She turned around to a man with long blonde hair in a braid. He smirked as he said,"Ma'am I believe your job is fine here. My horse's stall is good and it's getting kind of late." She blushed, embarrassed. She hoped it was fine and that he just wasn't lying to her so she would get out his way. It was time to return home, she hoped her mother wouldn't get mad because she watched the baby a little bit longer than she was suppose too.
