An undead citadel created before the cataclysm, Sahova is devoted to all kinds of magical research. The living may visit the island, if they are willing to obey its rules. [Lore]
Literally translating to "improvement of growth," the Dalafurugu is one of the few places in Sahova designed for the cultivation and preservation of living things. The ceiling is entirely composed of glass, with many missing or damaged panes and held by several support beams, which have been worn by the passage of time. The enigmatic Elsene, a once-Chaktawe Nuit of the Tatsuwaat Tribe, does not care for appearances; once the dilapidation begins to harm her plant life, she will commission a golem to fix it. Otherwise, she pays little to attention to the attractiveness of her surroundings.
The place is heavily shielded and under constant surveillance to ensure the island creatures keep their distance. It is open for coming and going only to apprentices or higher, so as to preserve Elsene's beloved peace and quiet. It was initially created as a supplemental project to the various magical disciplines throughout the Citadel, but eventually grew into an individual facet of the economy. Elsene provides invaluable materials for the Palsa Hydrasa, the Gug Andjak and the Council of Five. Due to influx of wild djed throughout the island, she is able to cultivate plants not seen anywhere else on the whole of Mizahar.
The front entrance leads into the greenhouse structure. When one enters, they are initially assaulted with a sensory barrage of herbs and spice. Each aisle runs the length of the place and wraps around, lining the widows. At the far end, a beautiful fountain runs in a perpetual cascade, acting as an irrigation system, carrying the moisture to the soil beds on wooden half-pipes. Once cultivated, the plants are usually preserved in whatever fashion and transported to the back of the room, where a modest but well-equipped station for philtering lies. It houses phials, flasks, beakers and alembics, all situated atop and around several stone slabs. Elsene does most of her work here. Through her experiments she is able to further the secrets of Nuit preservation and alchemy.

Nuit, 213 years of age
Quite unlike other Nuit of the Citadel, Elsene has refused to lose her original identity. She still dresses and conducts herself as a Chaktawe and almost always wears the skin of one. She is a taciturn, dry individual who secludes herself at the Dalafurugu on purpose, so as not to be bothered. It is very rare that another Wizard will approach her directly; it is more likely they will sent some sort of automaton to do the work for them. Her political affiliations are unknown, suffice that she is loyal to her mission and to the Citadel.
