"You are dismissed."
Zisien gave a slight nod to acknowledge Jariah, the Sulnara of the Frostfawn branch. The older woman just gave Zisien orders, and it was her turn to do patrols for the hold today. Normally the full fledged bonded Icewatch members did the patrols but every once in awhile they let a pair of apprentices to join a squad. Since she wasn't bonded yet she was one of the said apprentice be paired up with a likewise Vantha icewatch apprentice. Zisien wasn't sure how well it was going to work out since the person she was suppose to patrol with wouldn't be able to sense her emotions like the other bondmates who were to be in her squad.
Zisien pushed the thought from her mind, and readied herself for the task at hand. First she needed to head back to the barracks so she could remove her clothes and gauntlets and put them away in her room before shifting and meeting up with the rest of her temporary squad. Her quaint little room was built for two with simple lodgings. Usually for a kelvic and their bond mate but for now Zisien was room buddies with another kelvic from her litter year.
The polar bear removed her weapon of choice, followed by stripping of her clothes, quickly folding them and placing them all on her bed. She however was more careful with her torc. It was a present from her mom once she was old enough to join the Icewatch. It was a necklace of three pieces of silver woven together until they reached the two open ends where two polar bear head roared at each other. Instead of placing it on top of her clothes she hid it under her pillow. Not that she thought anyone would take it, she rather not risk it all the same.
Zisien had forty-five chimes to get to the entrance of the Frostfawn hold, where the rest of her squad were to meet. For some odd reason she was nervous about this turn of patrol. The kelvic wasn't sure if it was due to nerves of first night patrol or it was the unnamed Vantha she was to be paired up with for the next ten days.
Once outside Zisien shifted. To ask any kelvic how it happened or if it hurt they would all probably tell the person, that shifting was something they were born to know how to do and it just happened. No shifting of mass or bone popping involved. To most it almost seem like magic but it wasn't.
Zisien always had a sense of freedom when she was in her dire polar bear form and couldn't help letting out a roar. The sun was quickly setting which also meant she was going to be late. Running as fast as a big polar bear could she made her way to Frostfawn.
