To put in short, Malika was a very well mannered Konti woman. Her mother was very strict with her as she grew up, which put her in a horrible situation when she was younger, but now that she has grown up, she is very thankful for the things that her mother taught her. She spoke with a eloquent tongue, watching the things she said carefully, and thinking things through very well. She puts away her natural introverted nature for the sake of interacting with society, but revels in alone time. Although, her family is very important to her. Now that she is in Riverfall, it feels like she has no one, and yearns for a connection. It seems that the series of events has caused her to lose much of her old elegance. She is much more raw, blunt, and to the point, but some of her traits are still with her. She is helpful, and humble, even more so. She's intelligent and enjoys learning hands-on, and also from books.
Malika can induce sleep in herself or in others, including dreams, daydreams and nightmares. She can even determine how deep a sleep is or how long a person or people have been sleeping. Many times if someone is troubled with nightmares, they come to Malika to help them get rid of them with better ones, or a dreamless sleep. By touching the person's head, she lulls them into a deep sleep. This also works on animals. It helps tremendously if there is and anxious animal that can't calm down. |

Malika was born of the island of Mura to her Konti mother, Delani, and her Etheafal father, Indus. Delani was Called to Lhavit to consulate with the Sun Lady and Moon Lord when she was only a young woman. Lhavit is where she met Indus, married him, and conceived Malika. But, before the birth, they both moved back to Mura, so the baby wasn't deprived of her own race and culture. When Malika was born, the mark of Rak'Keli was etched onto her skin, - rather than Avalis's - branding her a different fate than her other Konti sisters.
When she was about 5 years old, her parents started noticing her love of animals, big and small. More than often she would bring creatures from the Isle home with her. No one could deny that she had a bond with animals that stretched well into her teenage, and adult years. When she was 25, Malika got her dream job being a trainer for the Opal Order, training, tending to, and healing the Ivaskis that accompanied their members.
Malika, and a group of four Opal Order members were sent to the Spires to collect new remedies and information for the Medical Library. On their way there, they were captured by bandits near Ravok, and taken to the city to be sold as slaves. During Malika's time there, she was given almost no food or water and was raped daily. After about 30 days, she was to be sent off to Kalinor for the Symenestras harvest, but while on a ship in the Suvan Sea, they were intercepted by Akalak warriors. Now Malika has end up in Riverfall as a Nakivak, but yearns to be back in Mura. |
