Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Fate is never clear

Day after day, everything repeated itself, nothing new or exciting was happening, and this was not the life that young Keyta saw for herself. Originally feeling free and able to run everywhere and anywhere she desired, now the kelvic found herself always wanting to return to the simple home of Blythe, and was only ever sent out to find shells and other objects that "spoke to her". Her diet consisted mostly of jupin berries as they were most common and occasionally other tropical fruits found within the trees that she found herself. Blythe was sure to make sure that Keyta was to hide herself from sight when changing from her true bat self and then to her human body. Even within the home they shared, she was to attempt to hide herself from something she did not find to be unsightly.

The thread that held Keyta and Blythe together felt more like a leash, never able to leave the island, and she had already memorized the entire forest that surrounded it, where each of the fruits grew, what type of trees felt nice to sleep on, even where she could hide and still watch the docks or city at will. Even her clothes were of Mura, and it began to force her to feel stuck, never able to explore or find new things. To this young girl, there was only one thing she could do, take the next boat off of the island and return to her adventure of the world. With the thought fresh in her mind, she began to re-pack her bag, which had been empty for over a year now, the feel of the old leather was refreshing, and wonderful.

Fate is never clear

Keyta could feel the leash of her bond with its' heavy anchor sitting within the next room of the home she shared. Blythe was near the kitchen sitting at her table, still just focused on her fortunes, yet even with all of this, she could not see that she was about to lose her friend. Without even trying to sneak past her, the young girl walked out the front door and stared into the forest, something about it was different from when she first arrived, it was too familiar, and its faint chill was no where near. The leash of this land, her friend, her clothes even was beginning to hold her back, a tear formed in Keyta's eye as she began to think about leaving. Even her mind was against her, urging her to rush back into the house and immediately ask forgiveness from the woman that did not notice her leaving. Anger and determination slowly poured into her veins as she looked up, her brow pushed together as she stared into the forest.

Step by step, Keyta walked into the land of trees, feeling her feet almost anchoring with each step, her body not wanting to follow her impulsive decision. Her head lowered as she thought of the first night she spent on this beautiful island, the slight fear of their first meeting, and the joy she felt when she looked into her eyes. Emotions filled her body, made her feel heavy, even her clothes began to feel as though they were tightening around her, forcing her to stand still. As the thoughts almost drowned her, she looked back up, showing her hatred of the threads that were tying her down, and upon another impulse decision, shed the clothing she was wearing and fled deeper into the trees.

As the trees seems to make everything else disappear from sight, Keyta stopped for a moment to catch her breath. She could feel the slight chill touch her entire body, a feeling she had almost forgotten, but knew she would have trouble with the rest of the people on this island if she did not have something on to cover up. Dropping on shoulder, Keyta released the bag off of her back and took hold of the flap that kept everything inside. She quickly peered inside finding her older clothes still there, mostly orange, touches of black, even if they were purchased from a place she found to be evil, perhaps evil can be helpful. She placed each piece where it belonged and then realized that she may have made this outfit a little too orange, but there was nothing she could do right now. After everything was in its' place, she looked back in the bag, noticing she was still carrying her old, torn clothes, and there was a cloak under them. Keyta took the clothes out one at a time, remembering why she hated her original home as she did, and eventually got to the cloak. With a quick and soft tug, she pulled the cloak out and wrapped it around her back; after attaching the button on the front, she went ahead and pulled the hood down on her head.

When Keyta was about to put everything back, she noticed she still had a blood stained bag buried in the bottom of her own. Without even having to think she knew this was the bag of the man she had killed in Ravok. Carefully, the girl opened the bag, finding it to be completely empty, and she then remember she had already pulled the few coins it had out and added them to her own. The kelvic thought hard about why she had kept this bag, but couldn't imagine why she would, but then figured why not put it to use. Wanting to get back to her task at hand, Keyta tossed the torn and damaged clothing into the bloody bag, and then got back to her walk toward the docks.

Fate is never clear

Sounds of the ocean crashing against the sand grew louder and louder as Keyta expertly navigated back toward the docks, sounds of bells on some of the ships rang like music. Without taking a moment to even look around, the small kelvic walked back into the docks and was again welcomed by the konti woman that welcomed her every time, Muti. By this time, she knew Keyta by name, and did not have to ask for it, but she did ask "What brings you here again young Keyta?" Even Muti could tell something was off about the kelvic today as she turned away for a moment and did nothing else but point toward the open sea. "Leaving again?" she asked, almost concerned about the future of the little one, "Do not be afraid to return here some day, this will always be an open home for you." Without turning around to face the konti again, Keyta pulled out a golden miza and tossed it behind her, slowly walking back toward the ship that she knew all too well by now.

Fate is never clear

Standing out as a orange spot on the ship, Keyta caught the eyes of many of the crew, but she did not look at any and simply continued to her favorite part of the ship. Standing on the back end, she looked back toward the island, memories of first arriving here flooded her mind, waking up to see Blythe for the first time, discovering some of the island's fruits, even the traumatizing sun when she found the beaches. Many good memories now laced with anger, she wanted freedom, and the only way to do such would be to leave.

The captain of the ship opened a door from the other side of the ship and out came two men and a woman. All four of these people looked human, and they were dressed for the sea, clothing where they needed it, freedom to move on a moments notice. The captain approached the back of the ship and stood between the young kelvic and the stairs to the lower deck, then shouted some commands to his crew that Keyta did not listen to. The woman walked up the stairs and pasts him, her hips moved side to side as she walked, making it seem as though she was trying to lure a mate. The woman looked at the little girl behind her captain and winked at her with a sly smile, which made the kelvic tilt her head slightly as she watched. The woman then grabbed hold of the wheel next to the captain and the shouting was then finished, the captain looked at the woman and pointed toward the open water. Sails all fell down from the people pulling their ropes and quickly, the ship set out, leaving the docks. Slowly Keyta stood up and hung herself over the railing on the back of the boat and watched as the island slowly shrank to nothing.

The ship had many items scattered across its' deck, but even with these, the boat still looked clean, decorative, and most of the crew laughed with one another, like a close family. Only a few others were on the boat with her that did not seem to be one of the crew, none of them truly stood out as they wore either basic blacks and faint colors or whites and vibrant colors from the island. Out of all of the crew, only the woman whom held the wheel kept her attention, her clothes were very different from everyone else and her scent was slightly different. She could immediately tell she was a woman by the smell, but there was also an odd tint of an unusual flora that she had never smelled before. It made her think, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it, however while she was staring at the woman, she turned to notice Keyta which made the kelvic blush and turn away. The ship woman smirked and went back to her duty, only turning the wheel slightly as they ventured into deeper waters.

Eventually the woman lowered a bar onto the wheel, making it so it could not turn, and she merely left the deck and disappeared below. The crew that was once energetic was now quiet, slowly calming as the sun began to fall off of the horizon. The clouds that were in the sky turned a beautiful array of reds and oranges with only a few patches of dark blues and yellows. The color was reflected in the water, and it created the most beautiful thing this young girl had ever seen. Keyta couldn't understand how a crew could live on a boat like this and not be captivated by such beauty like this. Gradually the sun set, and the colors faded to a dark sky with black clouds and patches of lights in the sky. The moon was split in half making it dark but not impossible to see, most of the crew was off the deck, every traveler except the kelvic was below as well, only three remained above, the captain that had been watching this whole time and the woman from before whom had returned with a bottle of vodka. The woman took sips from the bottle and so did the captain, they were both hugging and looking toward the horizon that the sun had set not too long ago. The exchanged whispered words, and didn't move for a long time, continuing to take drinks from the bottle, and only eventually turning to notice the girl of orange still sitting on the deck on the opposite side from themselves. The woman waved her had and the captain raised his bottle, both shouting a friendly acknowledgement, and even waved them arms toward themselves, inviting the kelvic to stand with them. Slowly at first, Keyta tossed her bag onto her back again, and walked over to their side of the ship, carefully taking each step down and back up the stairs that separated them. The first rocked from side to side, however the Kelvic made her way safely to the other side, when she reached the couple, she stood only to their stomachs.

The man asked for the name of the young orange kelvic, but all Keyta could do was look at him, wondering how she could show them in the dark. He introduced himself as Martin, a captain for hire and this wife who stood beside him was Jane. She bowed slightly toward Keyta and she smiled back, quickly pulling her bag back in front of herself and tried to find her paper and pen. Keyta placed her paper on a rail and wrote as carefully as she could "KEYTA", it was still difficult to read though. Hoping for the best, the kelvic handed it to them anyway, and they both squinted at it, trying to read what it said. Jane held the paper to the sky, allowing what little light the moon offered to reflect through, and revealed the name. Jane and Martin smiled repeating the name, ensuring the young girl that it was a cute and fitting name.
