The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Solar Wind Apartments, Zintia Peak

Smoke poured out of the building as patrons fled the area, causing Ignisa to hiss in dismay and slow down as tongues of fire leapt out of the upper story windows. Yet at the same time, a crowd of bystanders gathered, forcing the small group of Reimancers to shoulder their way through the area to get to the front of the scene. The crackle of flames was audible even above the uproar of the crowd, for there was more to the excitement than just a fire. A small tremor had run throughout the entire area, and was no doubt the source of this fire, and many other small insurgencies that had broken out throughout the generally peaceful city of Stars - her group was not the only team of firefighters to have been sent out over the past few hours. As they neared, Res glowed over the palm of the hands of the other Reimancers as they called upon their magic, taught as they were by the Reimancers of the Dawn Towers. Sighing, Ignisa sank into the meditative trace that allowed her to keep a grasp over the emotion and tension that was running high throughout her entire body at the situation, and let the Res hover at her fingertips.

"Ignisa!" Daeyue, the leader of the Reimancers in this group, shouted. "I will try to restrain the fires and keep them from spreading while you and Voriea try to put them out with Water." Daeyue's black hair flew in the wind as the fires fed on the air, giving her a slightly demented appearance despite the sensible shirt and breeches that she wore, and Res spun out of her in the form of a mist, flaring out and rushing towards the entire building, framing the walls and the windows that were sparking with fire with a screen of Reimancy. Thankfully the buildings themselves were made largely of stone that would slow the spreading of the flames, but now Daeyue was preventing the fire from spreading by attracting the fires towards the Res. Ignisa could see the futile efforts of the fires trying to break free of the restraints that Daeyue was holding onto them, but any sparks that managed to jump out of the windows were quickly pulled back by the screen of Res.

It was one thing to know that Daeyue was one of the most skilled of Reimancers apart from the instructors of the Dawn Towers, and another thing to witness it in action, and Ignisa was inwardly stunned at the ease at which Daeyue was holding back the fire by enveloping near the entire apartment with a thick layer of Res.

Such were the thoughts that ran through Ignisa's mind in those few seconds before she came back to herself. Shaking her head, Ignisa cast around for a source of water than she might use, and her eyes gleamed as she saw a stream nearby. Res streamed out of her hands as she flung the green substance at the river, the bystanders moving out of the way as her Res wound through them, and Ignisa breathed hard as she flung more and more of her personal energies into the act. Focusing her mind on the water behind her, she pulled at the liquid streaming through the river with her mind, and saw the waters run up to coat the Res in a shimmering film. Syna's rays glanced painfully off the water as Ignisa pulled the water up and flung it at the burning apartment, turning the Res embedded in the center to water as she did so before the Res went out of range. A jet of water as wide as her palm arrowed through the air, further guided by Voriea's Res, and slammed into the fire, causing a huge burst of steam to rise up from the windows as the two opposing elements clashed.

Knowing that Voriea was taking care of aiming the water, Ignisa moved back through the crowd towards the river, focusing on pulling up as much water as she could from the rivulet. Energy was flowing out of her in a steady stream - she was not as good as this as her companions. In fact, she had not manipulated Res on such an extent for a good few years now, and her skills were relatively rusty in comparison to both Voriea and Daeyue. Hopefully the fires would be put out before she succumbed to overgiving.

Fighting Fires [Arysana]

oocI seriously can't describe how sorry I am for this. I knew that there was a post somewhere that I was forgetting about and I only just trolling through my messages to see if I could figure out what it was. I seriously can't apologise enough.

Smoke was billowing high in the sky. The smell was enough alert all of its presence, though it was the thick cloud and haze of the area that had truly caught Arysana's attention. A morning studying in a garden was little good when you could scarcely go a few chimes without blinking away at the stinging of your eyes, or coughing in an attempt to clear your lungs.

She had trust enough in Lhavit's services to handle the blaze, though she truly did not know how such would be done. She was told by someone sometime - who or when was a distant memory - that it was the reimancers that took care of such things, though she never seemed to be at the right place or time to witness it for herself.

She sighed and closed her book tightly, eyeing the direction that the smoke seemed to be coming from Solar Wind Apartments. She bit her lip, sighing lightly. She was rather close, or at least close enough to make it there in a few chimes if she hurried along like a madwoman. It didn't take much for her to give into temptation, and feigned the look of a worried resident as she made her way through the crowed to the location that the fire seemed to be burning.

She wasn't sure what to make of the sight when she arrived there herself, clusters of people pushing and pulling each other, one or two assuming positions of crowed control, and a small platoon of skilled reimancers using their skills to the best of their capabilities.

She'd never seen the art used for such a thing - save for the single time a fellow peer lit a bench on fire with a misguided flame, and the professor in charge sighed and made quick work of the small inferno. But what she was witnessing was something far more coordinated than even that. They spoke and conversed and plotted actions together, molding their talents and, she assumed, skill levels into a powerhouse machine.

She couldn't quite see from where she was, several rows of people back, and being pressed further behind. She caught sight of a woman running off on her own, likely in search of water, she figured, and continued to watch on in a daze. She almost damned herself for not being skilled enough to lend aid in such an organisation, but felt that her presence would be little more than an annoyance regardless of her skill. Fighting fires would take time and dedication she didn't have spare, and need her to form relationships with those she didn't care for.
