64th Day of Fall 513 AV The sky was clear and Morwen's cold would have chilled any visitor's bones. Although it was only Fall the snow piles were growing higher and larger as the season moved on. Kienwynn moved agilely through the snow on her way to give a business visit to a store owner. Despite its centrality in the marketplace, Laria's Furs was burdened with the weight of such snow masses. The large, single-storied, wooden building was a welcomed sight to the local. Its familiar structure brought to mind fond memories of acquiring supplies for her mother, most often from this very store. What light wind there was, was cold on the young woman's bare face as she approached the fur shop. Unconsciously, her eyes scanned the sky for the falcon she had left home. "Wish me luck, Rani," she murmured before entering the snow laden building. Not surprised by the warmth of the interior her eyes remained apprehensive, she had never come to the fur shop before or, in truth, any fur shop for anything other than buying and here she was looking for a job. She unskilled in leather working, sewing and anything that was required for that profession, but she hoped that Laria Skyglow might require some assistance in sales; in other words Kienwynn was looking a clerk work. Glancing around the shop Kienwynn's eyes fell upon a dark haired woman who had to be none other than Laria herself. Kienwynn quickly checked her simple, light blue clothing to make sure she was presentable before approaching the woman at the long counter separating the shop floor from the stock room. "Excuse me, my name is Kienwynn. I was wondering if you had any open job positions? Possibly something along the lines of a clerk?" |
