Halon Mystichammer Pitrius

Appearance

Race: Isur
Gender: Male
Age: 53
Birthday: 5, Summer, 460 AV
Birthplace: Sultros, Pitrius City

Appearance: Halon is very much a typical specimen of a Pitrius Isur, standing at exactly 5' and weighing 200 lbs. His body is corded with thick well sculpted muscles, his pale blue skin thick and resistant to damage. His green eyes are often narrowed into a scowl, the body ridge over them further adding to his rather dour appearance. His black hair is kept short and cropped, and often he will allow a slight stubble to darken his chin. A web-work of silver veins work their way across his body, granting him an almost otherworldly appearance to outsiders. His most obvious defining feature his Izurdin blessed left arm, a beautiful glossy black thing that he displays openly and proudly.

Character Concept and History

Character Concept

Halon is defined by his Pitrius heritage, in that he possesses an innate hunger for lost and forbidden arcane knowledge. He is secretive and quietly spoken in most social situations, even among his own kinsmen. Slow to trust to a fault, he is of a mind to believe that most everyone else is simply out for themselves. He is more than content to sit in silence if silence is all he receives in return and usually prefers to think logically about a situation before involving himself.

Halon has a way of insinuating that he is better than most others in his company without even speaking a word, carrying himself with utmost confidence that boarders on arrogance. If he isn't the best at something he'll certainly throw himself at something until he is, or attempt to use someone who is better. The young Isur tends to default to extreme caution when interacting with non-Isur, mistrustful by his nature. However those that do manage to earn his respect and friendship will find a bond not easily severed.

He tends to be rather dry and sarcastic once one gets to know him, possessing a quiet sense of humor one might not first expect from him. Despite his belief in the inherent superiority of the Isurian culture, Halon possesses a slight bit of curiosity towards foreign cultures. As with all Isur his faith in Izurdin his unquestionably strong, driving him to delve further into the discipline of Magecraft as he hopes to one day create something so great that the gods themselves take note of it.

Character History

Halon was born to the Mystichammer family, a family noted for its long line of Magesmiths within the Pitrius clan. His father raised him on it, more viewing his son as a tool to advance the family as a whole than anything else. He wanted Halon to eventually attempt to gain entrance into the Silver Tower and become Sentinal, which would have opened many doors to the family. So Halon worked, and worked, and worked to try and please a man that could never actually be pleased with him.

The young Isur possessed an obvious affinity for the arcane arts, becoming as skilled a Magesmith as his father. Still it wasn't good enough, the one thing he so desperately craved was the approval of his father, the validation that never came because no matter what he did he never seemed good enough. So he tried harder and harder, delving deeper into the finer points of arcane lore with the use of Glyphing and Auristics to augment his art form.

As the years went by the Isur quickly realized that there was only so much he could do outside of the Silver Tower, that prestigious establishment from where the Sentinels came. Rather than attempt entry, for his father still saw his efforts as needing improvement Halon turned his gaze towards the outside world. To leave the Kingdom and learn more outside, to travel and broaden his perspective. So it was that Halon requested leave from his clan and joined the next trade expedition to Lhavit, the Diamond of Kalea. His goal, to further his craft and create something so great that even the gods themselves would be humbled by it.

Izentor 1 :
Those marked by Izurdin receive an elaborate tattoo on the shoulder of their primary arm. With a single mark, the individual may impart special properties on a single item that they themselves have personally crafted. The item becomes more durable thus resisting even the most devastating sources of potential damage. Blades will almost never break or dull, armor will almost never dent, cloth will almost never tear or fray and structures may withstand the most devastating weather conditions. It is this god granted gift that makes items crafted by an Isur so highly sought after. The marked may always identify their own crafted items on sight. Imparting these items is a highly taxing process both physically and mentally so much that the crafter must rest for an entire day following the imparting.
