Ilosk, The Marble Angel

Appearance

Race: Pycon
Gender: Male
Age: 5 years old (Almost 6)
Birthday: 9th day of Spring, 508 AV.
Birthplace: Lhavit
Formerly known as: Corrin (The name he had at the earliest stage of his life), Bara (given by his first master, Qona Atarnok)

Appearance and Concept: Ilosk took form of human wearing long robe. A pair of enermous wing sprouted from his back gave him more immaculate impression. The wing however, completely ornamental although he could flap and draw the wings freely. Considerably tall enough for Pycon, Ilosk stand about a foot, and the wings doubled his width effectively.

Qona's death was a terrible blow for the Pycon that alter his persona into its root. His default cheerful and playful nature depreciated day by day and at some point become battered. He served Esgabad Baghir, his last master with grim and silent loathing. His persona was altered into a deceitful one, he could fooled nearly everybody with his playful looking and one would never be able to guess what was hidden behind that mask.

He had a voice that somewhat resemble bariton. Not a piercing squeaking or heavy and deep, but somewhere between that. It matched his current form and also gave false impression of "kind" or "honesty". He was potentially mischievous, though not malevolent. More importantly, he would do anything to accomplish his goals. Anything.

Character History

Ilosk's adventure began with the same motives as any other Pycon, curiosity. He did show much interest with other language and renowned skill called magic. At that time, the Pycon was known by other name. Corrin. Young Corrin leave his family and search his way towards University of Zeltiva. Where hopefully, he could satisfy his thirst of knowledge. There, he learned basic of writing and reading, as well as arithmatic and magical theory. couple of seasons passed when the Fate himself show his touch of miracle. A particular meeting at the library turned Corrin's life direction forever. He befriended a summoner, Qona Atarnok, that happened to be around the university. Later Qona saw his potential and asked him if he want to join her. He didn't need to think it twice.

The summoner told him knowledge that he can't find in the university, the very practice of magic itself. Qona herself awakened his first personal magic, Projection. This disciple was very helpful for the Pycon. His tiny stature was no longer a hindrance for him. In return, Corrin helped Qona with her other worldly experiments as well as becoming a loyal companion for the lone summoner. It was not long enough when Corrin changed his appearance that matched Qona's favorite animal, a feline and accepted a name that was originally comes from Qona's imagination. Bara. He remained using these form for twelve seasons. That was happier years of his journey.

Unfortunately, a cunning wizard named Esgabad Baghir was preying on Qona's experiment. Esgabad was actually her distant cousin, but in contrast with Qona's warm and kind personalities, he had terrible temper and behavior. Envious with Qona's work, Esgabad was not a better summoner than her. He plotted to steal her experiments --coordinates mainly. He killed Qona, robbed everything related with her work and burned the other, faking her death as a misuse of magic. He took also took Bara the clay feline, enslaved him because he had a feeling that the Pycon would be useful. Series of spell and runes bound him to ensure he would not run from the master or even argue the master's decision. Without doubt he served Esgabad with ever growing loathing inside his heart. Esgabad forced him to recreate most of Qona's experiment, willingly or not. The Pycon do his best to protect Qona's work. Esgabad's runes however didnot prevent him to lie, the cunning mage was confident that his very intuition would detect any single lie from the Pycon (not to mention that he was lacking the knowledge as well). The Pycon constantly trying to find any possible means to escape, but when as the day passed to weeks and toward seasons, he became tired. Then it was dawned to him that the only way to escape the mage was death. The mage's death. It was very unlikely there was another wizard that would kill his master, he didn't know if there was anyone else that held grudges toward Esgabad. Aside from himself. It was really up to himself. The temptation to avange Qona's death nearly blinded his mind, it seemed so sweet and easy. But he was still sane enough to knew he won't stand any chance. At least at that moment. He need to wait, at some point the wizard would believe that he was giving up, and his chance would come. There were plans to be played, schemes to be done, lies to be yarned. Like a series of dominoes, every act lead to another schemes to be fulfiled. He waited in the silent, fooling the mage who slowly believed he was under the mage's control.

Summer 512 AV, they moved to Kenash. Esgabad said that he need quiet air far from hustle bustle of big city. Bara look this as an opportunity. In this swampy city where no one know the master -- and him. No one would realize if the two of them gone missing. Swift and ordered, he arranged his schemes to achieve his freedom. It was a life taking bet for shall it be gone awry, it would be his death sentence. He presented Qona's summoning circle as usual. Esgabad, thanks to his overconfident personality and Bara's act of deceit, didn't examined much of the circle. Not realizing there was additional runes adorned the painted circle. He tapped the circle, Djed flowed activating the runes. But the resulting portal didn't opened to any other world but the void. It was an end of the mage, being selfvoided by the emptiness. Yet it was another beginning for the Pycon. With no master to be served, the runes that bound him loses its power and he was freed at last. Terrified but excited, he destroyed the sabotaged circle as well as most of Esgabad's journal. Then once again, he changed his form. A pair of wings sprouted in his back while the feline looking molded into robed humanoid form. Under Leth's ray, the Pycon ran away swiftly before merged with shadow of the night.
