The days warmth could not sooth this stifling coldness that had settled within Xen. Efforts to quell the bitter freeze of cafard, whilst using what hope he had, fail. And despondency covers his being with blackness darker than the color, which graces his scales. Xen—whom had a strong sense of purpose and happiness—felt no emotion. Only a strange peace embracing him, as madness and black-bile envelops most of what remained.
