[Bronze Woods] Wandering in the Wilds [Open]

The horse trotted into the wood with much a clatter of hooves, and a pale, ghostly woman with white hair dismounted, landing on the forest floor with no noise - like a leaf in the breeze. She patted the horses flank, and it galloped over to a nearby tree. There was no need to tie the horse to the tree, and the pale lady began to look across the floor. "Come on Kalda.." She muttered to herself. "You should be able to sniff out herbs from miles away.." Shrugging, she began to construct a shelter. Rooting through the undergrowth for useful materials, she felt a sharp prick to her finger. With a soft "ouch", she pulled her finger out of the leafy undergrowth, to see it was bleeding softly. She smirked to herself, and waved her free hand over the bleeding finger, closing her eyes. When she opened them, the finger was healed.

After the construction was completed, Kalda quickly began her search for herbs, she just needed something sterilizing for her new dressing - which can stem the flow of blood and stop infection, plus partially stopping pain, simultaneously. Therefore, she was quiet engrossed in her task; keeping an eye on her surroundings at all times, though, naturally.

"Aha!" Cried Kalda dramtically, diving on a plant with spiked leaves and blue flowers. She pulled out her knife, hacking through the roots, and pulled it out, bottling it and putting it delicately in her satchel. Producing a scroll, Kalda began to look through a small, list of herbs she knew of. Flicking through the pages quickly, and murmuring to herself. "No... yes... perhap--.. no.. there it is.." Kalda jabbed a finger at a picture of the herb, scribbled something down and went on with her hunting.

Shaking her head slowly, Kalda retraced her steps back to her makeshift campsite. Once back there, she looked through the afternoon's herbs. She had found two she could identify, and a further three more that she could not - this result had pleased her greatly. On her way back to the camp, she heard rustles and odd noises in the woods, which reminded her of all the other wildlands she had traversed. Keeping her guard up, she crept cautiously as the woods, which had had barely any light in the first place, was no descending rapidly into darkness. Kalda made it back just in time, and, lighting a fire, she pulled out her parchment; and began to test the unknown herbs for sterilising qualities.

Kalda stretched, yawned, and sat up. Rubbing her eyes wearily. She had been sad when none of the herbs had revealed the desired qualities that she had set out to find (however one had been simply divine in the soup). Whistling for her horse, Kalda quickly and efficiently tore down the makeshift shelter, burying the campfire and making it look as if no-one had been there. Jumping onto the horse, she began to gallop deeper into the woods, robe billowing around her.
