Raziel Hymr

Appearance

Race: Zith
Gender: Female
Age: 11 (Adulthood)
Birthday: 13, Winter, 503 AV.
Birthplace: Endrykas, Cyphrus.

Appearance: Raziel is 4'5" and has oily, black hair which reaches little past her shoulders. Her choice in attire is typically a feathered hat she plucked from an Akvatari's feather. Her eyes are yellow, a genetic code uncommon, but not rare, for her species.
Raziel wears a cape made from a Jamoura's fur, draped over her leathery wings from her first hunt. A similar pelt is also slung over her shoulders. A rose, which she obtained from a flora monster, is clipped onto her hair. Sometimes, though, she wears a pretty pink dress she stole from human territory, adorned with more flora petals.
A red ribbon, gifted to her by the village elder in a small community at Xy, is tied on her wrist. She typically wears black laced dress shoes for occasion that she wears her dress.
Like many other Zith, Raziel's skin is about pale and her wings are of average length and size for her age. A bone pops out on the edges of each wing.

Character Concept

Raziel also shares many common traits among the Zith. Especially for the love of battle. Whilst many races seem to agree that there are moral quandaries, Raziel was born in a civilization where slavery is typical and bloodshed even more so.
As of thus, Raziel shows crazed appreciation for blood, almost to a naive extent, unaware of concepts such as excessive mercy. Despite this, Raziel is not a heavily opinionated girl and has an energetic, eccentric personality with childlike curiosity.
Raziel is devoted to anything, even with her own community, watching her twin get slaughtered in an attempt to mate. Again, another definite trait of Raziel is her asexuality, an absence of the instinctual need to consummate. Her twin, Vyraa, is now a ghost.
Her carefree nature also affects her goals, leaving her without much intention rather than to have fun and hunt. Even unaware of instances such as sarcasm and irony when used upon her, Raziel is a very literal person in contrast to her free personality.
Her dislikes include feasting upon a Symenestra's flesh, unable to break down the venomous systems. Her favorite food, however, is a human's jugular and aorta, spread with a flask of blood and the exhilaration of the hunt.
Raziel leaps from town to town, stealing currency, pursuing ancient tomes and intellect, and enjoying the life of a wanderer.

However, her innocent demeanor isn't what truly makes her a Zith. Though instinctual, Raziel was an outcast from her community, never feeling anything above common maternal or paternal love for her natural family. Her mother only instructed her and Vyraa to fight, alongside her 15 other siblings.
Raziel thinks of pain and suffering as a game of friendship, mistaking murder as kindness and not of cruelty. Because of this, Raziel loves to smile and make jokes in the face of death or being the one to end a life. Her upbringing also blinds her to prejudiced thinking.
Somewhat psychopathic, Raziel thinks like a child and, when throwing tantrums, typically involves an attempt (or succeeds) in assassination. Still, Raziel feels emotions just like anyone else, just misplaced in different situations against the majority.

Raziel, with an unimaginable amount of peculiarities, is also an aspiring scholar, studying magic and languages steadily. Raziel, if she must have a goal in spite of her ranging quirks, would love to study more creatures of the world to sate her curiosities.

Character History

Raziel was born in a community of 25, a small, single-family flock. Her twin, Vyraa, her mother and father, the six elders, and her fifteen brothers and sisters. Her father, Oirym, killed his own brother in a fight to mate with Reqe, her mother.
Oirym's brother, fearful of the dishonor and negligence of the community should he lose, begged for Oirym to kill him in whispers of telepathy during the battle.
Born a mere year later, during a nesting period, Raziel and Vyraa were the first children in the community. Several years afterward, the other fledglings were born.

Reqe instructed all her children in the art of killing and consuming their bodies. She taught them how to create their own weapons and how to generate trade. Reqe taught them about the histories of the Universe and how, after the Valterrian, the Zith were born.
Raziel and her siblings quickly became adept hunters, playing games such as who could kill a fauna first, or telling stories of gruesome, malicious deaths of their prey.

A sliver of fate, from an imported good of a human merchant, however, ruined it all.
A type of bubonic plague, probably spread through magics and alchemy, was embedded in that cloth. The merchant was actually a poacher who killed monsters for gold, later deciding that the wings of a Zith, hard to obtain and strong and durable, was worth much.
The fruits, in which the Zith had traded for, were all poisoned to the bone. The people were sick for months, but their enhanced physiology maintained steady and they survived for five years.
In the fourth year, Vyraa and Raziel, now ten, were nearing adulthood and the elders and siblings of their's knew that someone had to mate. There were seven healthy Ziths left; Vyraa, Raziel, and two brothers and three sisters.
Vyraa fought in a tough battle, Raziel giving the chance up to one of her sisters, and subsequently died. Alone and in despair, the remaining women died in the fight.
Her brothers were left with a terrible fate and they knew it. Soon after, in a hunt, Tyrem, one of the two boys, died from serious injuries. By the next winter, Lowe, Tyrem's twin and her last brother as the others were dead by sickness, was depressed and cynical.
No longer driven by instinct in the face of fear and, with food scarce, Lowe knew he was about to die. So he asked Raziel to cannibalize his body and live another day.
Raziel obliged solemnly.
A week later, Raziel finishing the remains of Lowe's body, wandered off into the next civilization for the hunt and for survival. Now eleven, she steals and hunts for the last two months, killing whoever draws near and fulfilling her predatory nature with murder.
Sacrifices to the Valterrian, Raziel shows no discrimination in her ceaseless massacres with a gnawing, gluttonous hunger following her. Bloodlust peaked and her strength at its pinnacle.

Raziel wasn't specifically trained in hunting, stealth, and physical combat. Her community of Ziths prided themselves in the art of murder and instinct. That instinct was just molded into violence by other Ziths.
Reqe, Raziel's mother, focused a great deal of time in studying how to hunt her prey better to feed herself and her fledgling children. So Reqe crafted an Akajia Robe, an overcoat of sorts which could hide a person's sound of movement.

When the plague struck, Reqe gave her robe over to her eldest daughter, Raziel, in hopes it would benefit her in the future.

Housing

Location: Endrykas (forests).

House: 1 large tent (4 person)
1 large tarp
100 ft of rope
1 lantern
2 torches
1 bedroll
1 blanket
1 set of fishing tackle & hooks
1 bonded Strider
1 Yvas
1 large set of Yvas bags

Note on Yvas:
The Drykas use what is called a Yvas on their horses rather than bridles and saddles. A yvas is what equates to a girth with an attached breast collar combination hung with hooks and topped with a small flat hand grip that lays along a horse's shoulders. The Yvas is often placed over a colorful pad that acts to protect the horse from the rider. The grip fits over a strider's withers which holds the yvas in place. It almost looks like the type of thing vaulters used on their draft horses, though it is more functional than a vaulter's pad. The horses can free themselves from them if they got separated from their riders, and do not have tack to entrap or tangle them when they are running loose. The yvas has ring tethers on it for handling a set of wither bags and a waterskin, and is often decorated in knot-work beading that identified the horse and rider as part of a specific pavilion.

Drykas ride without any headgear or bridles on their horses at all. They do not use any halters either.
