Edgar Spelljack is a human male of relatively short height (five feet and nine inches) and relatively low weight (one hundred and forty-eight pounds). Spelljack has dark brown hair and sorrowful, pale blue, serpent-like eyes that contrast his dark hair and pale skin. Spelljack is built with quite a bit of muscle and nearly zero fat. He is relatively strong. He has a gold tooth for his left incisor. Otherwise, his teeth are extremely clean, as he is a dentist. Edgar brandishes several scars on his palms from overgiving, and has mild burns across the fronts his hands, as well as his fingers. He also has burns on his back, his calves, and his shoulders. He has medium-sized scars on his right forearm, his neck, his left leg, and his left bicep area, as well as a small scar under his left eyelid.

Character Concept :

Edgar Spelljack is a very serious person and does not like to engage in matters that are not business-related. Edgar Spelljack is a highly intelligent and wise individual, and his job as a dentist allows him to show it off. Practicing dentistry, an art that is much different from fire reimancy, has let Edgar see a new side of himself. He still, however, lives alone, and his personality is unchanged. Spelljack is all business and likes to get straight to the point. He organizes his time in a tight schedule. He is superficially obedient to those that matter. He does no bad in public nor does he overdo his niceness, so as to keep a neutral reputation. Edgar has weak-mild hyperopia (farsightedness) and so he carries spectacles with him wherever he goes. One of his teeth were knocked out during his time in prison. It has since been replaced by a gold tooth. Edgar is a very careful and meticulous person. He is a man of no religion or faction. He is only in this world for self-gain. There is a possibility that he is caring, but he has never developed a relationship with anyone but his now deceased guardian wizard. Edgar Spelljack is a strong, stubborn, and intellectual wizard that speaks softly, and carries a big stick. At the same time, he is wicked and thirsty for money; he uses his talent and skill as a dentist to bring profit for himself, caring little for his actual patients. He seeks opportunities to secretly exercise his fire magic outside the castle.

Character History :

Edgar Spelljack was raised by the late Wizard Spelljack (first name never given) since he was a baby. According to this guardian, Edgar was found on the ground next to a tree in the Bronze Woods, starving to death. The old, unmarried wizard took the baby into his home in Stormhold Castle and raised him as his own. He taught Edgar fire reimancy outside the city walls, and in it he trained him thoroughly until his natural death, when Edgar was twelve. With the whole world collapsed around him, which was not much of a world, Edgar Spelljack was alone and had never seen beyond the Syliras Domain. For the next ten years, he ventured out intending to see all of Mizahar, but soon learned that that was impossible. Spelljack walked across several human-populated cities, sailed upon some of the major bodies of water, stopping to enjoy the people, the food, the scenery, and every little detail about every little thing that came his way. Along the way, he needed to make coin. His method of income was dentistry, a choice he made out of thin air and decided to follow through with. He feigned the possession of a degree in dentistry. Using his judgement and a set of makeshift tools, Edgar worked with teeth like a real dentist; he pulled them, filled broken ones, cleaned dirty ones, and gave new ones. Along with illegal practice in dentistry, Edgar also experienced common street life and larceny with the low classes of Mizahar. However, at the age of twenty two, while in Lhavit, Edgar committed a huge crime. Edgar stole eleven gold teeth from a customer that he dosed with four times the normal dose of "the pinch," which he killed, committed arson, and stole for. Edgar Spelljack was witnessed by a passerby and arrested by Lhavit guards. Edgar Spelljack was sentenced to life in prison for his pretending to possess a license to practice dentistry for nearly a decade, and for his heist, which involved nine counts of murder (deadbeats in the way), which occurred during the theft of one hundred mizas-worth of the pinch, arson of the store that belonged to one of his victims, stealing eleven thousand gold mizas-worth of gold teeth from a nobleman during a dental appointment, and for the murder of that nobleman. The nobleman died from the overdose of drugs. Edgar avoided death merely because of the relaxed nature of the Lhavit courts. Unable to deal with rotting away in prison for the rest of his life, Edgar, after six long years of fighting prisoners, struggling to feed himself, and trial and error of escape, finally broke out. Spelljack fled Lhavit and went straight to Syliras, his birthplace, or at least what he remembers as his birthplace. He settled down in a small room in the Maiden District. To sustain himself, he decided he would practice dentistry for real. He spent the next four years learning dentistry. He now professionally, and legitimately, works as a dentist at Soothing Waters, Stormhold Castle, Syliras. With a childhood of fire reimancy training, ten years of travel and street learning, six years locked in the sewers, and four years learning legitimate dentistry in civilized society, Edgar Spelljack is a cold character. His experiences and personality come together to craft a unique blend of professionalism and wickedness. He is superficially kind and warm; he has a mask for this masquerade of Syliras, like he does for every masquerade he attends. Underneath his thin coat of ideal personality lies a terrible man that would spout a genocidal blazing inferno from his hands in a blink of an eye and never regret it. He is a man with a thirst for coin and self-prosperity. He does, however, above all else, have a very soft spot for women.
