[The Bronze Woods] Same Culture, Different dreams (Sayren)

72nd, Spring 514 Av.

Syna rays shown down through the branches of the trees, as Asher sat on top of Karne as he slowly walked over branches and twigs cracked under his hooves. He sighed feeling her light embrace his skin. "Praise Syna for the warmth and Caiyha for the trees" he said quietly. Karne snorted in line as Asher ended his quite prayer. It was a normal day, he had been in the city for awhile now. He had gotten used to the weird way that Sylirans lived. He missed the freedom of his home and the embrace of his own people, it was difficult to live inside the walls when you were used to the freedom that Endrykas provided. Asher started to drift off onto of his strider, who in that instance decide to pick up his trout. Bouncing Asher awake once again. He slid off of his horse and landed on his butt. He looked up in a false anger. "Aye! You dumb horse" he signed as he stood up. Karne turned in with a snort like laugh and pushed his head against Ashers. Asher smiled feeling the energy from his horse. His one friend in this city of walls. Asher kissed his forehead and smiled. "Come on then" he said walking along side him.

Barely a couple of days and Sayren had already grown tired of the crowded streets again. She figured her time in Nyka would've corrected this, but Syliras was so massive. Her and Garel needed a chance to step outside the fortress city and take a moment to breathe and run about. During the day, the bronze forest seemed so beautiful, despite her run in with the bandits a few days ago.

The sun's brightful shine welcomed her body with warmed approval. Letting her smile in their moment of embrace. "I didn't think we'd see weather so glorious. What do you think Garel?" The strider seemed torn, he was excited to be out of those city walls but he seemed as if he were longing for something...or someone.

"Aw," The young drykas gasped as she held her friend close, "Do you miss that beautiful sassy mare, Rosalind?" His torn emotions were replaced with a frown as he tried to pull away from her.

"Oh c'mon now," She groaned as she pulled his face back to look at her, "Don't be sour. I'm just teasing you because I know you are rather sweet with her. Even though she's pretty mean to you."

The strider now even seemed more indecisive, possibly more so embarrassed by the fact that his partner is talking down to him like a young colt wanting his first mate. Either way, he pushed it out of his mind and trotted forward, egging her to follow along.

"Hold on you." She giggled, "I have to get on first." She exclaimed as she hopped onto his back, "Alright! Let's go!" With that, he sprinted forward into the forest. Stomping past trees, swerving from one side to the other as Sayren leaned close to him. Moving side to side with his movements.

"Woohoo!" She cried out, followed by a cheerful neigh from Garel.

After a few chimes, she taps on his neck, whispering to him, "Slow down." In confusion, the strider did as his partner had asked, gazing at her with a cocked head. She explains by pointing over to a man walking beside a horse as well. The way he carried himself and how he dressed appeared to be that of a drykas man. However, he had no sign of any windmarks on him.

Keeping her sword close at hand, she urged the stallion to approach the man, "Hello, and who might you be?"

It was just him and his strider. Alone in the wilderness, enjoying Syna's light. He was enjoying the shared silence between them before he heard the distant sound of crunching twigs and thundering hooves. He shook it off, figuring it was just a city dweller on a horse. He continued walking until a woman pulled closer to him. She rode on the back of a huge strider. But he mounted up on the back of Karne, who eyed the approaching duo. He looked upon her, seeing the windmarks she bore. "I am Asher Nightrunner of the Ruby clan. Soon to be a master leatherworker." he said as Karne turned showing her the dark lines of a windmark that sprawled down his right arm. "And you?" he asked, his eyes danced slowly on her body. She was attractive and strong, like many of the people from his home. But he didn't recognize her, her face didn't stand out to him. "I don't think I've seen you before around Syliras" he said, "Or our shared home for that matter" he added.

Karne stepped closer to her strider. He reached out his nose and sniffed the air around them. The smell was unfamiliar to him and he looked back over his shoulder to Asher. Who's eyes were locked on the woman in front of him. "What brings you out here?" he asked, though he knew it was probably the same reason he was out her. For the freedom, the rays of Syna's embrace and the ease that Caiytha offered to all. His hand reached back to his bow that say, tied against the straps of his yvas. "I do hope you aren't planning on trying to take something from me" he said. Trying not to sound overly aggressive. But he would stand firm and defend himself, if she tried anything.

Seeing that the man introduced himself as a member of the Ruby Clan, she eased. Especially after seeing some of his Windmarks on the other arm. She removed her hand from her sword and dismounted from her strider, "My apologies, I mean no threat." She spoke in the Pavi tongue, "I only meant to be cautious. I am Sayren WindDancer of the Diamond Clan. And this is my strider, Garel."

The strider lowered his head in a bowing like manner to address his honored introduction.

"I have never traveled to Syliras before," Sayren had continued, "But my mother had always told me stories of it when I was little back in the homeland." She smiled at his mention of never seeing her in Endrykas. "I was born and raised there, yes. But recently, I had ran away from my father. I did not appreciate his cruelty to my brothers and I could not stand the man he was trying to marry me off to. So I listened to my older brother's advise, and ran away. To become a better, and stronger warrior. I'm already a pretty strong fighter." She smiled confidently. She was proud of her growing abilities in becoming a fighter. It was only embolden by Ximal's teachings.

"So a proud leathersmith? Seems fitting for the Ruby clan." She said with admiration, "Their craftsmanship is always so magnificent."
