Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

After their contact, Kol's competitive nature took the back seat and for a moment there was a glimpse of the playful side threatening to come out, just like when they were at the Kadukta. Tazi, on the other hand, didn't seem to be enjoying his little nudge and speed up, leaving Kol to watch her hips as she moved onward.

His smile was gone like a flame on a windy night. He furrowed his brow, following after the two. Did he upset her, or was she merely teasing him...? You think you know what I enjoy, now? Kol tried to chose his next words carefully, as usual, although for once his mind was racing. As Dalia wandered down the hall like a kid in a candy store, Kol strolled next to Tazi, not allowing himself to trail after them long.

"What else does it look like I enjoy?" He flashed her a smile, raising an eyebrow. Was there something in his voice? The sound of his words softened, and he tried to step in front of her. "What things do you enjoy?"

Tazi interested him. She was someone he wasn't used to meeting in Taloba. She was gentle, but still had the fire of Myrian blood in her. She could fight, he had seen her do so, but... she was different and Kol found himself wanting to know her more. As he was waiting for a response, Dalia's voice found her answer.

"Kol, Tazi," She smiled at the two, and Kol tore his eyes away from the healer, "I would like to see the acupuncture rooms. If you don't mind."

Tazi had kept a decent distance between the two of them, mindful of the direction that Dalia was drifting in. The medicine house could be very confusing if one did not know where they were going. Aside from that, this was supposed to be a tour. Dalia's curious - and silent - nature made this very easy for her. Amidst her thought, she did not notice Kol come up on her side until it was too late and he was speaking. A frightened feeling crawled up her spine, making the hair on her neck raise. She turned slightly to look at him, never faltering in her step. His smile eased her agitation, but his sudden movement in front of her caused more turmoil than she expected. Having succeeded in cutting her off, Tazi found her face placed firmly against his shoulder. Her momentum was cut short as she was stopped by the muscular wall.

Her breath hitched. He smelled good. She wanted to reach around him, hold onto him and sniff him until she was quite satisfied that she would not forget it. Instead, she backpedaled rapidly, almost falling on her rump with the sudden change in direction. The words coiled around her like a warm blanket. What did it look like he enjoyed? There were so many things she could say: pain, spending time with her, his family, talking with her, fighting, killing Yukmen. There were so many things that she could have retorted. When it came to what she liked, she paused. What did she like? She could not say her family as her mother despised her and she had grown distant from her twin. Aside from her job, which she was insanely passionate about, Tazi did not have any friends. Other than medicine, she did not have any talents. The first question he had asked was easy to provide an answer for. Tazi simply found herself understanding people. Yet, did she really understand herself?

Before she could answer, Dalia was drawing her back to her duty. ”O-o-of course. This way.” Her tone was somewhat forced as she collected herself, sweeping around the human wall. They were fairly close to the acupuncture hall. A left turn down a short hallway brought them to a flight of stairs, which brought them to a cavernous room, similar to the massage parlor. Instead of having many windows and a pleasant cross breeze, it was lit with scented candles. The aroma was floral, and permeated throughout the room. Two beds were occupied with patrons. One was relaxing with needles in his back while the other was having needles removed the skilled hands of her elderly employer. Traya was mumbling things to the patron as she tapped and pulled each needle with precision. A few more needles were removed before she applied warm towels to his back, bidding him good day before dismissing herself. As she turned around, with that familiar arch in her back and aged shaking in her step, she spotted the company.

“Ah, Tazi. It is good to see you again. Come. Bring your friends. What brings you to this end of the house?”

”I was giving a tour. Traya, this is Kol and his sister Dalia of the Tempered Steel,” Tazi started out formally, pausing a moment for Traya to rest her eyes on each one. ”Dalia is interested in medicine and wanted to see what we do here.”

”I see. Welcome. Dalia is it? Why don’t you come here and take a peek at what I am doing. Let us see how steady of a hand you have.” If there was one thing that Tazi loved about Traya, it was her willingness to teach. The woman was a kind soul, and Taloba would suffer a great loss when her time came to join Myri in the afterlife. Since this was now Dalia’s show, Tazi stepped back, folding her arms thoughtfully behind her back. Kol’s questions still lingered in the back of her mind, but now did not seem to be the time to moon over him. She rather enjoyed behind evasive today.

There was a hint of irritation in the way Kol watched Tazi walk away, swaying her hips as she ignored him. She had been so close only moments before, her breath brushing against his collar. If there was an opportunity to talk to Tazi, that would have been it. He had even cut her off, had been abrupt in his approach. Kol knew no other way to engage in conversation.

It's about Dalia. Today is about Dalia. He needed to remember this. He would need to stop allowing himself to let his attention wander to the young medicine woman. They had one day where they fought along side one another and chatted. She had kissed him in thanks. She kissed me. I kissed her. Out of thanks.... Nothing more.

This relationship would help his family. Dalia will return from her trial and will need to find a job. This will be a good fit. Kol followed the two girls into the other room where Traya began to greet his sister. The older woman began to inquire about Dalia's skills and Kol smiled encouragingly, stepping forward to place a hand on the young girl's shoulder. She looked up, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. There was an excitement and nervousness in her eyes. He nodded once, giving her a wink when he thought no one was looking. The small action was a little joke he had with the girl, and he greeted Traya before falling back.

Now it was Dalia's time to shine. Kol crossed his arms over his chest as he watched, a flicker of pride rising in him. Many Myrians did not see the art of medicine on the same level as war, but Kol was pleased to see his sisters excel. If there was anything Kol understood, it was battle and the feeling of satisfaction when his siblings were happy.

"Easy, Dalia." Kol muttered the words under his breath, watching closely at Dalia interacted with the elder. "You are doing well." Kol's features softened, and he seemed to relax momentarily, before he remembered Tazi and his attention flickered towards her.

You still haven't answered me.

Day Season, Year

While Kol, Dalia, and Traya exchanged hellos and formalities, Tazi was given a very familiar pedestal of observing. Unlike all the other times when she had been left out, right now she was able to observe Kol in a new light. There was a connection between the two siblings, and something had transpired she had missed. It was a secret between friends. Tazi remembered having little secrets with her twin, Asar. Now, that seemed all but a shadow of the past. When Kol stepped back, she continued to watch him, staring. Traya and Dalia had moved off by now, towards the pin-cushion patron that lay face down on the high bed. Tazi did not even seem to care that her mentor was being her charming self, wooing in another young girl in the ways of medicine. Her attention was focused to much on Kol, how his lips moved as he murmured something. It was only when his eyes met with hers did Tazi shy away again.

She had spent all morning it seemed avoiding him. With great will, she focused on Traya and Dalia, but the images in her eyes did not seem to translate to her brain. Instead, she pondered his earlier question. Of course she knew what enjoyed. Medicine, quiet, the occasional good drink and food. Even an invigorating play and song could make her feel good. She also knew that being in his presence was invigorating. Looking back towards him, she casually slid over to him until the skin of her shoulder was touching the flesh of his arm. "I enjoyed fighting alongside you..."

That whole statement seemed odd, but it was the only way she could fathom expressing her joy when she was around him. If she had said that she enjoyed his company, it would have made her sound like a love sick puppy dog. She was supposed to be a Myrian. If he even had the slightest idea of who she was, the fact that she chose medicine over blood and peace over war, he would understand that statement was false. Or at least partially false. She had not enjoyed the fight with the Yukmen. She had enjoyed doing it alongside him. Tazi angled her face to look at him with a sly smile wondering what he was thinking. Like a faucet, she verbalized this. "What are you thinking Kol? You are always so quiet, yet I know you must be wondering about me."

"I enjoyed fighting alongside you. What are you thinking Kol? You are always so quiet, yet I know you must be wondering about me."

"I do." Kol admitted, adverting his eyes back to Dalia and the easy soothing encouragement from Traya. He was unsure how to word his thoughts, so he bid his time, "I think about you. About the fight and returning to Taloba." If one wanted honest answers, Kol was a good source to seek, but sometimes his answers were direct or perhaps not the ones you were looking for. He was known for making things uncomfortable in situations that often required tact.

Kol thought about their return to Taloba a lot, actually. After all, it was where he kissed her. Just outside the gates with the feeling of her skin pressed against his lips, the rush of excitement playing in his chest, the natural curiosity to taste her lips and restraining himself. He wondered about the outcome had he taken the opportunity, what would have happened. Tazi was beautiful, with or without clothes and each time he looked at her, there was a spark of young passion. Kol was attracted to her, that was certain. She was so opposite of himself, it was shocking. And now, just to feel her arm against his, she began to consume his mind.

The male wasn't good with words. He knew actions and that was where his comfort hid. Tazi wanted to know his thoughts, but they were hard to translate and piece together; she wanted answers to feelings he didn't understand. Kol would express himself in the best way he knew how. Lifting the arm that Tazi was brushing against, Kol's fingertips trailed along her arm and down to her hand. He watched her from the corner of his eyes, gauging her reaction, his own focus intent and his heart beat picking up. It was simple touch, but he needed to grab her attention.

When his fingers reached her hand he took it gently, taking a step towards the door, nodding to the hallway. Come with me. He silently edged towards the exit, sneaking towards the hallway as to not interrupt Dalia's potential training. The young girl seemed consumed in the work, and Kol let Tazi's hand fall, slipping outside of the room. The male wasn't a hundred percent sure what his next actions would be, but like battle, he would respond to what happened.

When Tazi followed, Kol looked up and pulled off his shirt in a single fluid motion, stepping away from the acupuncture room. "I would like to collect what's mine now."

Tazi chewed lightly on the inside of her cheek as he pondered what to think. It was reassuring, knowing that he was thinking of her. As a child, she had never imagined a man actually wanted to spend time with her, let alone have her in his thoughts. There were so many other options in Taloba and all the clan lands, women who fought and earned respect the traditional way – through blood. Yet, here she was, next to a rather stunning Myrian man for the second time. When his words did finally fall from his lips, she could not help but allow a small smirk play on her face. The fight had been an invigorating one, but the aftermath was even better in her opinion. Sure, she hadn’t meant for anything to come of it when she had kissed him. Not that she would ever deny that the kiss in return had seeded something deep inside of her.

Her thoughts dwindled away when he touched her. Her skin came alive, her senses suddenly pulling into just the two of them. No longer did she care about Traya or Dalia. All she wanted to do was focus on the two or three foot radius directly around her. It was worth it, his fingertips gently running down her arm towards her hand. It was sort of ticklish and then again not. The pressure was too light to actually get her to laugh outright. It was just right to get her to close her eyes and pull her lip into her mouth. What was he doing, playing with her feelings like that? Clearly he knew that something was up between them. Anyone could see it, and it was almost palatable. For a brief moment, her senses expanded again to the point she open her eyes just a little to find Traya staring at her with a smile. Dalia was too consumed in her work, but Traya knew. She always knew. Yet, she said nothing, and went back to her work.

It was at this point that he was lightly guiding her hand upwards, towards the door that they had come in. Taking a moment to take one last look towards Traya and Dalia was a mistake. His hand left hers, and with it, all the warmth and excitement. How dare he just slip away and leave her behind. Inwardly she scowled, allowing her sandaled feet to follow him. She was about to give him a few choice words for leaving her in there when the flurry of fabric hushed her. She only got a glimpse of his tattoo when he turned around on her. Her breath caught, her heart pounded almost audibly.

"I would like to collect what's mine now."

The sultry side of her was coming out again. His? What on earth was he talking about? Oh, Tazi knew what she wanted him to be talking about. She wanted to be his. Of course, with this being their second meeting, it seemed like a silly girl’s hope. Yet somehow, the idea still captivated her. Finally remembering how important air was, she took a deep breath. Stepping towards him, she lightly pulled at his empty hand. “Follow me,” she found herself murmuring before leading him down the stairs. At the base of the stairwell was a small door. Tazi had zero idea where it would lead, but she was overjoyed to find it unlocked. Checking to make sure the hallway was clear of on-lookers, she led him into the room.

It was slightly bigger than a closet and contained a few supplies that Traya might need in the acupuncture room such as basins and towels. If Tazi had known it would be this small, she probably would not have chosen it. Yet, it was secluded, and that is all she cared about. With some finesse, she turned around to face his shirtless self. Although there was some room to move, they were still in relatively close quarters. Idly, Tazi placed her hands on his chest and pressed her body as close as she dared without shoving him back out the door. “What is yours that you plan to collect, Mouse?”

Hidden deep in her mind, part of her kept chanting ‘Say it. Please, dear Myria, let him say it.’

Kol had wanted Tazi alone. That had been his singular thought, with the faint idea that he would pull her away from the acupuncture room with the excuse of wanting his shirt, and then... well, he planned to take charge, but Tazi opened the closet space and stepped inside, pulling him after her... Kol's heart beat increased, his mind focusing on the woman in front of him. His lower abdomen started to tighten, his excitement charging when she placed her hands on his chest. He liked when she did that.

He just liked when she touched him.

"What is yours that you plan to collect, Mouse?"

Kol's hazel eyes were running along Tazi's body, his mind flickering with images and urges. You. Everything... You. Because of their short time knowing one another, Kol didn't know what she expected of this. Of them. He wasn't sure what this meant. She was coming on to him, correct? Or did she want to talk? Kol didn't want to talk. He wanted to touch. With Tazi so close, Kol made a decision, an eager smile flashing in the healer's direction as he destroyed the small distance between their bodies.

Tossing his shirt onto the ground, Kol used one hand to grab Tazi's hip, the other to wrap around the back of her waist, pulling her firmly to his body. He could feel the softness of her form contrasting with his own, her breasts resting against his own chest. His neck arched and he stopped himself from pressing his lips against her own, his mouth hovering over Tazi's. She wanted an answer, and he let out a long, exhale, not aware he had been holding his breath. He opted to kiss Tazi's neck needing contact, similar to their first encounter, and his breath was low and deep when it washed across her ear. Prayers were answered, a string of words plucked from the downpour of thoughts resounding in his mind, along with the pounding of his own heart, "The taste of your lips... You."

Kol's breathing changed, quickening with a heavy release. His hands were running down up her waist and around to her back, his mouth finally meeting hers in a swift lock. It didn't matter that they were standing at the bottom of a stairwell, in a room barely bigger than a closet. Tazi was in front of him, touching him. The moment between them might not have been love, but it was something abstract. Lust, perhaps. It was what he wanted to claim. It was addicting.

When he pulled away, Kol wasn't sure what Tazi was going to do. Shove him backwards, close the door, return to Traya... He waited for a cue to continue or stop, something to calm him down or wind him up. Something.

Tazi watched his face in the dim light of the closet space, trying to interpret what was going on in that head of his. Something was ticking, that much she could tell. Beyond that, he was a stone wall to her wide-open book it seemed. Part of her wanted to know what he was thinking, so she could make the appropriate moves. What if he didn’t like her touching him? What if contact actually made him nervous or was a pet peeve of his? These questions would have continued rolling through her mind, but he seemed to disrupt it when he closed the distance between him.

She heard the flop of fabric hit the ground, but she was too focused on the proximity of him. His smell was invigorating and wrapped her in a secure blanket it seemed. His hand on her hip was like a brake, preventing her from pushing up against him while his other arm pulled her close. It seemed like a battle. He wanted her, but he didn’t want her? Or maybe it was he wanted her but did not know what she wanted. Confusion was beginning to set in, a fog of lust and need and want all mingling together. His breath hit her lips, her cheeks. This made her realize just how close he had come. All she would have to do was angle and push to catch his lips if she wanted, but he was already on the move, placing a kiss on her neck. Automatically, deep within her, she let out a small, exasperated sigh. Had it been like this since they meant so many days ago? Had she always wanted his touch? Of course she did.

His words for a moment did not click until just as his mouth claimed her. All thought processes were put on hold as she kissed back, eagerly pressing towards him. Her fingers curled slightly, her short nails gripping his skin. All her life she had been running, hiding, and trying to be a shadow. For the first time she felt wanted, and now all she wanted was to be lost in this feeling.

Tazi realized her eyes had been closed when he pulled away, leaving her wanting. Slowly she opened her eyes, trying to adjust to the dim light. He waited, holding her. She waited, wondering what to do. It was then that it clicked. She understood why her sister loved to fight and her mother always wanted to win. That’s because they wanted it so badly. The true Myrian was rising from its primitive pool, bubbling up within her abdomen and chest. Without much of a warning, she pushed her hands up and around his neck, placing little kisses on his chest, his collarbone. Tazi worked her way up, every now and then allowing her eyes to flit up to his face. To her great surprise, she was even beginning to growl a bit between breaths.

He was bringing out the animal in her.

Nails dug into his flesh, and something within Kol electrified, coming to life. The way she hung to him, kissed him, rubbed against his own body... Kol pushed them deeper into the closet, holding Tazi's waist and used his other hand to catch their bodies from smacking into the shelf behind the healer. The male wasn't really aware of much, or the fact that he knocked a basin from its spot. Only that he kicked the wooden container out of the way, its clattering barely audible in his ears.

Tazi's growl, however, was loud and clear. Through half lidded eyes, he enjoyed her kisses, meeting her eyes when he glanced downward at her work, stomach clenching. Kol felt light headed when he took her lips with his own, running his teeth gently along her lower one. He growled back, a smile tugging on his lips. Kol then grabbed Tazi's wrists, lifting them upwards and pinning them against the wall, lowering his head to return the favor. He let his teeth skim across her skin, broken by the occasional rise to let his tongue run across hers in a deep kiss.

Kol might have been bringing out the animal in Tazi, but the was rising a different sort of beast in him, one that would no doubt be hardening against her thigh. If anything, it was a compliment, and Kol released her arms, his actions so very instinctual at this point. Pulling back to gain his breath, Kol brushed some of Tazi's hair from her face, primal desire in his eyes. The lighting was dim, but he could still make out her features. He hadn't been this close to Tazi in weeks and he found himself missing it. She was a good kisser.

A few kisses with various levels of intensity, and his hands began roaming to the front of her shirt, threatening to pass the curvature of her breasts. It was then that Kol hated fabrics and wished them to be removed, but he restrained himself. A very faint voice in the back of his mind kept reminding him that they would have to return soon, back to the acupuncture room, but he silenced it with more contact. How could he not, with Tazi's scent engulfing him and the taste of her skin still fresh on his lips?

Just as Kol went to grab Tazi and lift her legs around his waist, a faint voice resounded up the stairs, two pairs of footsteps following soon after, "Kol? ...Tazi? Are you down here?" Dalia and Traya were looking for them, and unfortunately, these voices were not ones that could be ignored.

They were too enveloped in one another to really know what they were knocking over. There had been a noise just after Kol pushed back against her. Balance was a difficult thing to comprehend at the moment, but thankfully he was strong enough to support them both. Her kisses seemed to be highly appreciated as he caught her lips again. Everything seemed to be a whirlwind of emotion for her, and she was having a difficult time remaining on her feet. If she had picked a different room, they would have already been on the floor. Goodness, how she wanted to feel all of him against her, to understand his weight and strength when pinned.

The kiss broke and he pinned her arms above her head. She couldn’t help but writhe. No Myrian liked to be restrained. Especially when her hands could be feeling his chest and arms up and down. They were itching to do something more important, like explore Kol. Her need rose, and she fought the restraint a little bit more, groaning ever so softly as his kisses went from her shoulders to her lips and back. He was being such an incredible tease right now, but it was apparent she had her own effect on him. She could feel him against her thigh, and it brought a new need to the front of her carnal desires. Tazi was burning to be touched all over, but one place more so than others. Tazi had seen rituals before, of the men and women in her clan coupling. It had been weird, and then erotic. Now she understood why. It was that feeling that drove them to this strange madness of coupling.

The brief moment of pause allowed her to regain some clarity. This was actually happening. She relished in the thought, warm from the heat of the experience. Of course, clarity was short lived as he went back to kissing her, his hands roaming down the front of her shirt. As nice as the linen felt against her breast, they yearned for calloused hands of a man. Oh, if her mother could see just how pitiful she was now in the hands of her man, Tazi was sure she would have been skinned alive.

They were so close, to needy, and that was when it all imploded. Tazi heard the words just like he did. They felt like chains, pulling them apart. Duty and honor kept them bound though, as the voices were important people. Kol had his sister and Tazi had her employer. To be found in a closet was probably the last thing they needed. Especially when this day was supposed to be about Dalia. Agony gripped her body as she backed up into a shelf. A wooden bowl fell, alerting the people outside. Tazi froze. Traya seemed to be quicker than Dalia, in the uptake, which probably saved their skin.

“Maybe they went to get some sushi while we finished up,” Traya started. “Why don’t we start looking there? It is in the next building over.”

Tazi was going to owe Traya her life for this. The sound of footsteps came closer and then started to disappear down the hall. Sheepishly, Tazi looked at Kol. “I guess we should go…” The disappointment was evident in her voice. Leaving this closet was the last thing she wanted to do right now.
