This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

Summer 45 514
On the forty fifth of summer Solis had spent a slow day at the blood flower plantation and by the time Solis got home it was seven bells after midday and Solis had just made it through the door of his house which he was greeted by his khivasi rubbing against his leg. Solis knelt down giving quill a quick rub on her head before Solis started walking and sitting on his bed and taking off his backpack and his scabbard and his holster which carried his crossbow and he set them all by his bed. Solis stretched he needed to rest for a bit, Solis looked over at quill "don't let me sleep to long"Solis said to the khivasi before Solis laid on his bed falling into a quick blissful sleep which Solis awoke two bells later. Solis sat up looking around for a moment before standing up and stretching quickly, Solis looked around the room everything was the same except quill was asleep on the floor, Solis grabbed his backpack and reached into the pouch which he keeper his mizas in he grabbed the small handful which included one gold miss and a few silver and a few more of those were copper. Solis looked at the sleeping form of quill "we may be in trouble soon.. "Solis sighed as he put the handful back and Solis tried to think of some way to earn some extra mizas "well... I don't have a forge... So I can't make anything I can't get another full time job or will never sleep well what else could I do"Solis said out loud knowing no one besides quill would hear. Solis thought for a few chimes about what he could do "maybe I could try hunting something... There's a lot of animals in the area"Solis sighed about to give it a try. Solis grabbed his crossbow holster putting that on along with putting his scabbard back on, Solis made his way to the door and out and onto the street and Solis walked down towards the outside of kenash. |

Summer 45 514
After three and a half bells traveling west of the kabrin road Solis was sure he had found land not owned by any of the many plantations he knew well that if he was caught on plantation land he would be banished from kenash or worse. Solis looked into the foliage he was able to see the swamp clearly in the darkness, Solis reached back grabbing his crossbow he set it out in front of him holding it firmly as he pulled the string back taking a chime to load it. Solis then started walking into the foliage he listened to all the sounds of the swamp Solis looked at the wet ground for any sort of marks or signs of any nearby animals. Solis spent thirty chimes wandering around the area when he found fresh tracks, Solis followed them quietly before he saw a sokki cat sharpwning its claws on a tree. Solis took quick aim and shot without aiming the bolt it went into the cats upper hind leg going through the muscle and into its other foot wounding the cat terribly it couldn't walk far before it laid down bleeding. Solis followed it the short distance he drew his bastard sword taking pity on the animal as he made sure to stabb it quickly in the chest killing the sokki cat instantly.
Solis took a few chimes removing the bolt and putting the sokki cat into his back pack "it has to be worth something"Solis told himself before he slid his sword into his scabbard as he went off looking for more tracks. |

Solis wandered around the swamp not finding any tracks when he saw another sokki cat eating a crow it had recently caught. Solis loaded his crossbow with haste not taking the time to properly load the crossbow as he pulled the crossbow string back quickly barely locking it into place, Solis quickly pointed the crossbow at the sokki cat and he released the string the crossbow bolt going off course getting stuck in the tree making the sokki cat run into the nearby brush getting far away from Solis. He sighed as he knelt down grabbing the bolt that was stuck in the tree but Solis accidentally broke the broad head off the crossbow bolt. Solis put the crossbow bolt away in his backpackn"I'll just carve a sharp point in it later"he thought as he grabbed another bolt he pulled the crossbow string back locking it into place as he then loaded the bolt into the crossbow making a mental note "I'll have to keep this loaded from now on when on doing this" Solis thought as he went off toward the bushes the sokki cat ran into. Solis walked through the bushes making noise alerting several nearby animals of his presence. He then walked for thirty chimes before he caught up with what he assumed was the sokki cat he had found eating the dead crow it had caught. |
