Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

The girl's club (Zamora and Shea)

Fall 28th

The streets were abuzz with life as usual in the city of Riverfall as citizens carried out their days before the sun sat that day. Even though the cool colored buildings did nothing to make the city seem cheery to the Benshira as she walked the streets with her shawl wrapped tightly around her head as her usual, she was still in a good mood. Nothing extraordinary had happened so far that day, but yet nothing bad had happened either. She was simply happy to be well and alive, a first in what felt like a long time.

She walked through the city with no apparent reason at the moment other then to explore, a hobby she had taken up in her spare time as knowledge of every part of this city felt important to her for future reference. As she passed by shop fronts and towering Akalaks while gazing around, she sang softly for herself as she use to do quite often in her native tongue; something she had not done in at least a season.

" The sun rises upon the desert sand,
You are blessed to have survived the night.
The terrors of dark are pass for one more day,
the horrors of the sun have but begun.

We fear not, we walk the sand.
We fear not, we are at home.
We fear not, we will die if it is our time.
We fear not, we are children of Rapa.

Kiss your spouse and feed the children,
tend the flocks and make the bread.
Ignore the scorpions and collect your herbs,
Collect some water, and kill some wolves.

Celebrate, tis Masha, we have lived the day!
Praise Yahal, eat and pray.
Masha with all, dance and play.
Return to our tents, our husbands now play."

It was an old work song she use to sing while working that she had learned from her new family when she had joined her husbands tents. She had use to get embarrassed singing it in the early days of learning it from the women she worked with daily, but it had only taken her a season sharing a bedroll with her husband for that to fade and for her to find humor in the last part of the song. Singing it now gave her a sense of comfort, and she felt no embarrassment as she saw there being no possibility for anyone understanding the lyrics she sang in Shiber.

She would have kept on singing, but as she neared the ocean edges of the city she found the sound of music coming from a building she had not noticed before. The good sounds came from what looked like a small building, which she saw women entering freely. Intrigued by what she was hearing, she came closer to the building, curious if it was a business free for entering as she had not noticed anything posted stating the reason of the building yet. Upon approaching closer she could hear the voices of feminine voices chattering inside, and an open door. She was cautious at first, but upon entering she found a welcoming interior and was met by what she thought was an Akalak at first. Most curiously after being greeted by the blue skinned giant Shea realized that he was actually a she. She had heard stories of an unusual cross breed sired by Akalaks that could be female, but this was the first time of ever seeing one such, and the name used to refer to the mixed blood was all but lost to her.

She was politely introduced to the Sapphire Star and had been offered to have her shawl taken, an offer she did turn down as she felt more comfortable with it. Upon explaining this was her first time here and she was curious about the music, Lika seemed more then welcoming for Shea to enter on in and make herself in this sanctuary for women. As the copper skinned woman walked in further, she examined her surroundings and couldn't help but feel a little more relaxed to not be surrounded by large men all around her. Here there were only women as far as she could see, leaving her feeling she was not so tiny in the fit of things but as usual she saw no dark skin and bright eyes of her own kind here.
With a sense of relaxation and peace she sat herself on a chair near a screen that the music seemed to be coming from just so she could listen while taking a breather.
