The Foundation of the Elemental Mind

The Foundation of the Elemental Mind resides in the Docks, a freshly built construct in the Plaza of Dark Delights. It is nestled into one of the darker parts of the city, near some of the lesser known locals. The most notable of the businesses being Tine's Exotic Goods and Black Tar's Alchemical Services, an immediate neighbor to the Foundation.

From the outside the shop looks quite simple, shabby even, despite its recent construction. The stone walls conceal the true nature of the building, with only a few windows to grant a glimpse inside. A set of heavy blue doors posed between two windows mark the entrance to the shop area, and above it is a stone banner. Carved around an insignia is the name of the business, "The Foundation of the Elemental Mind"

Upon entrance one finds themselves in a spacious room of stone construction. To either side of the room are benches for those in wait of service, but most notably is a large desk of mahogany. Upon it are a set of neatly organized books, each labeled for another service provided. Inside of these books are logs of appointments and notes on customers.

Behind the desk sits a young attractive woman, the receptionist for the shop. Upon entry she greets the visitor with her dull voice, "Welcome to the Foundation. If you have an appointment, sign in here." After which she will direct attention to a piece of parchment and continue, "If not, I can set an appointment for an interview. After a short meet with Miro, you will know which services the Foundation can provide you."

Guests are not allowed beyond this front room, however those with appointments may be shown to other rooms, depending on the services they have paid for. From the front shop are four doors, all of which lead to another room. To the left is the office, where Hypnotherapy is performed. A door to the right leads to the courtyard, which in turn leads to the laboratory. However, anything beyond these rooms, they are off limits to even paying customers. The remaining two doors lead to Arienette's room and the storage area, both of which are located behind the desk.

However there is also a hidden room in the Foundation, located behind the office. In the back of the small storage closet within the room is a door. This hidden door leads to a small prison where captured hostages are kept, for one reason or another. The door is constantly kept locked, and any attempt to look in the closet is likely to result in a stay within one of the six cells located on the other side.

Room Descriptions :
Those who seek Hypnotherapy will find themselves in the office, a small comfortable room with wooden floors, pale walls and a few pieces of fine furniture. A luxurious couch is provided for the comfort of the patient, while the Hypnotherapist resides in an armchair. The room is typically quite dark and quiet, but always kept perfectly tidy.

With the payment of a seasonal fee the laboratory is available for use on days reserved by appointment. This room is accessed by a sturdy locked door on the back end of the courtyard. Inside is a large stone room filled with magical equipment. It contains a bookshelf stocked with a few basic texts on magic, a desk, a lab table, a few chairs and a fireplace. Some specialized equipment is located in a set of large chests. Those with access to the laboratory are free to make careful use of its contents.

The prison is accessed through a hidden door within in a closet within the office. Inside are six cells with sets of iron shackles mounted to the walls. Each cell contains a matresses of hay that may prove more comfortable than the cold stone ground. The door to the room remains locked at all times, hidden behind a facade of shelves built into the door. The cramped room is exceptionally dark, cold and never cleaned.

A locked door tucked in a small hall in the back left corner of the main shop leads into the storage room. Inside is a collection of Miro's possessions kept locked away. None are allowed back there without a direct invitation, and any attempt to trespass would not be taken lightly. The room is made of sturdy stone and arranged neatly. This is what the wizard considers his home and sanctuary, even more than his laboratory.

To the right of the main shop is a door that leads to a walled in courtyard. On the far wall is an iron gate that allows access to a canal. A path leads through a yard filled with gravel to the laboratory and gate. A trio of benches sits on each side of the paths in the center where they meet. The large walls that encase the courtyard contain a few windows, however the rest of the courtyard is left entirely bare.

There is a small room located to the right in the back of the main shop. Inside of this back room is a fine bed, wash basin and small chest. This is the shop manager’s bedroom. Arienette sleeps in this room keeps what few personal belongings she has here. It is a small and cramped dark room with wooden flooring, but the slave makes no complaint.

Arienette is a passionless girl without much will of her own. She was abandoned as a young child in Zeltiva and grew up in the city orphanage. She never really recovered from the loss of her parents and shut people out. As a result she never received much warmth from people and remained cold. When she was about twelve a family saw past that and took her in. For once she was apart of a family, cared for, given a purpose. She was made to help run and maintain her parent’s shop, and began to open up a bit. However things did not last. In travel between cities, Arienette lost her parents and was taken as a slave.

Eventually Arienette wound up in Ravok at seventeen on sale at the slave market. She was sold as a fine Human female, already quite good at taking orders with a broken will. Losing her parents again has left her quite despondent and without any will of her own. She was purchased by Miro for her appearance and apparent education. Long brown hair and soft features make Arienette quite the pleasant sight, although she typically pouts and speaks in a dull register. It is her job to organize appointments and to serve as the pretty face of the Foundation.

Hypnotism Training (Up to Master): 100 gm per Season
Reimantic Assignment: 10 gm per Bell

Laboratory Access: 25 gm per Season

The Foundation is a secretive business that aims to provide specialized magical services to the citizens of Ravok. This accomplished mainly by providing access to a well trained Reimancer and Hypnotist, but as well through seasonal training and laboratory access. All one needs to do is make an appointment and pay the necessary fees. Though patience of a flexible schedule may be required for some services. Above all one must be discreet and keep the services provided here a secret.

Reimancy services include the variable applications of the discipline to solve a wide range of problems. Fire may dispose of undesirable things, while water can wash away a mess. Structures can be erected in stone and sculptures may be forged in ice. However a Reimancer may also be hired as an escort, able to ensure safety and provide other conveniences.

Hypnotism services are mostly centered around Hypnotherapy. In magical sessions held, the Hypnotist works to assist a person through psychological limitations or trauma. Buried memories can be discovered and various behaviors can be modified with prolonged therapy. Services are not limited to that however. Hypnotism can be used for extracting valuable information and inspiring false beliefs.

Magical training is offered to those willing to pay and obey the rules presented. Those found in violation of these conditions will have their access to the service revoked, and in some extreme cases may find themselves in danger. Typical rules include being obedient, trustworthy, respectful and discreet. Training occurs only on appointment days.

Laboratory access is granted seasonally to those who have paid for seasonal access on days reserved by appointment. The number of days access is granted is only limited by availability. Various magical and para-magical equipment is provided for use, but care must always be taken. Those who damage or steal equipment will be subject to harsh penalty. Upon discovery fault will be placed upon the most recent appointment holder.

OOC :
To make use of this location, one must first discover it. This can be done from rumor or by visiting the location. Upon first visiting, an appointment to meet with Miro will need to be made, and at this point services will be discussed. Once registered, services may be paid for, then utilized in thread on set appointment dates. The setting of an initial appointment and use of the laboratory can be self-moderated, however all other services require interaction with Miro.

A player wishing to use this location need only Private Message Miro. All details of the costs and threads to be worked out can be discussed there. Due to the costs of the Hypnotic and Reimantic services being by the bell, the costs will vary, but can be discussed. Teaching for a season may result in 1-4 threads depending on how much there is to be learned. Appointment dates for the laboratory may be assumed freely.

The Issue(s):
Hi there.

This business DOES NOT EXIST nor are any threads pertaining to this business valid. Any XP earned in conjunction to this business needs to be nulled along with the threads LOCATED at this business.

Why?

While business plans MUST be approved by Gillar, ultimately a DS must approve the final business, its location, and add all that information into your SS thread. This was not done. In addition you now have PCs claiming they are saving living expenses by dwelling in spare rooms or guest quarters in your business that were never part of the plan nor purchased (nor approved by a DS) after the fact.

This is an abuse and a gross violation of the rules of Mizahar. YOU MUST FOLLOW PROTOCOL TO OPEN A BUSINESS.

I suggest you start apologizing to all the ST's involved, the people you've told you have a legitimate business, and everyone who's going to loose out on XP or anything else they've earned because it was set in this location.

You were already under warning. This sort of stunt does not favor you in the least for remaining here on the game. Read your business approval. IT clearly states the next steps you must do which you failed to do. Ignorance is no excuse.
