Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Rathan sat in one of the many beds inside the Galia Medical Center. Rathan looked at his, now five, hands, he flexed them, turned them. It was odd, seeing only five hands instead of six. He felt alien to his own body, seeing out of one hand, only looking at five instead of six... He hated himself for letting himself do this, the amount of stupidity with in those moments... If he wasn't drunk he wouldn't be in this place, he'd still be in his tent. But of course, he chose to get that drunk, even though his thought process wasn't right, he chose to fight that Akalak. Which caused him his arm and his eye.

A tear ran down Rathan's cheek as he thought about himself and the past, he ran his hands through his hair as he began to think poorly of himself. He slammed his hand against his lap and laid back, as more of the dark thoughts crossed through his mind. He began to wonder if he could actually survive in this world, I mean if he can't fight one person what is stopping him from being killed by others? What is stopping him from being killed by something even more simple? He gave a large heavy sigh, and just began to run through what he could of done to stop his arm from being chopped off. He slapped him self, stopping the dark thoughts. He began to look over his body again.

Healing Wounds

A false smile sat across Rathan's face, today was the day his bandages for his slashed eye came off. Rathan should have been happy, but he was depressed, worrying, anxiety, these were the few of the brew of emotions swirling in Rathan's head, poisoning his mind as each negative thought crawled out of the pot from which the emotions swirled. He felt like he could never follow in the foot steps of his father... He was a monster hunter in the end of his life... How could he even fight when a single fight left him crippled? How could he even attempt to hunt a monster now... He felt so weak... So weak... Rathan thought

"Are you ready, Rathan?" The Akalak medic walked in... Rathan felt like he didn't deserve a doctor like him... He felt like he needed someone lower... "Yes..." Rathan replied, he looked at the medic tiredly, shown by the bags under Rathan's eyes. The medic walked over to Rathan and grabbed the end of Rathan's bandages, and began to unwrap them... Soon, all that remained was the pad over Rathan's eye. The docotr took the pad of... And Rathan opened his eye, exposing his eye that was void of light several days to light, blinding light, Rathan instantly covered his burning eye, he looked down at his lap and began to slowly expose light to the eye. "It... Is bright in here." Rathan said, he noticed something new on his face... A scar. He had a scar on his eye, going down the path that the blade took across his eye. "Anything else needed?" The medic said. "No." Rathan replied. The medic started to walk out of the room, Rathan took a deep sigh as soon the medic left.

Rathan laid on the bed and began to think of himself poorly once more, but that is when something flashed in his mind... A feeling he hasn't felt in several days, like a spark in a darkness. My eye... I am not blind... It could have gotten a lot worse at least! Rathan thought. It was positive, wavering the forces of his negative thought. He felt good for once, even if it was for a mere moment in time. For a single moment that false smile, was a true smile. That single thought lead to a wave of different one, clashing with the negative thoughts. It was a odd feeling, two major forces of the mind clashing with each other.
