Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Shattered hopes

The bond had broken between the two and he had no one to blame but himself. It was his own fault, he had failed her and avoided her. He hid from her and the two drifted apart until the link between them shattered. The change had happened quickly within himself. It tore him apart inside as he sat there on one the stone benches in the rookery park. His hands grasped together as he stared down at the ground. "You messed up, you have to accept it." he grumbled quietly to himself. His fingers released one another and his hands slid to touch the cold stone surface of the bench he sat on.

After a few ticks of staring off into the sky, he sighed and rose to his feet. "Nothing is going to happen if you just sit here" he said, he turned and left the park. Better your self, take up arms, fight harder and win her back. His mind echoed various things, each brought a stinging sensation to his chest as the words filled his mind up. Plans and ideas were met with a burning truth that there was no going back, it was over and he could do nothing but try to move on. But you haven't fled the city, you are strong and you can win. But he knew there was nothing for him to win. She was not a prize and he had no right to go back to her. He would try to live his life to the fullest, praising Syna with every breath that he took.

He walked slowly through the city, Wysar’s tower stood high and mighty in front of him. Like much of Riverfalls structures the tower was strong. It shone as more than a symbol to the god himself, but also a symbol of strength for the people of the city. He stopped for a moment and stared at the structure. He knew very little about the god himself, Wysar was one of the patron gods of the city and the Akalaks. He began walking towards it, his mind curiously turning over the idea of stepping inside and learning about him. Trying to understand the people he lived a long may help him find out who he is. The memory of him dreamwalking with Kavala called back to him. Remembering who he had been in the past, a warrior. A man who did not care if it was right or wrong. He protected those he cared about and ended those who would try to bring them harm. He was cold and calculated, Adrien wondered is that was such a bad thing, to be able to shut out the morals he held to do something that needed to be done.

He stopped in front of the door before shaking his head and turning away. His mind was not clear enough for him to explore deeper into religion. His clouded thoughts would only block what he could possibly learn. The city council building was to his right, it was another strong and beautiful gem of a structure that shone in Riverfall. It was one of the oldest buildings in the city as far as he knew, and he was never interested in the politics of the city and how the Akalaks ran their city.

His mind raced back to her. The things she had to do to start a life again in Riverfall. He gripped as his chest for a few ticks before trying to shake off the pain that he had felt and continuing his journey.
