Fall 32, the autumn harvest party

Another day another celebration in Lhavit, and though it seemed that celebrations in Lhavit where a common thing they never really lost their charm. The particular thing being celebrated today was the fall harvest, It had been a good one and food and drink were plentiful. Enjoying her fill Orion enjoyed the evening meal drinking and talking with the other party goers. Deciding that her stomach was full and her thirst sated Orion walked a bit away from the merriment finding herself a small open space in which to stand. Removing her Violin from her bag and taking a shuddering breath.

Drawing the bow across the strings as she had practiced so many times before Orion drew out a long single note. And then taking a shuddering breath she began to sing along to the little iig she was improvising. Notes were missed and occasionally sour but the song was earnest at the very least.

There's a crispness in the air that greets Syna's rising, a feeling of anticipation, a new the autumn harvest Surprising .
Harvest days are ending, winter is drawing near, yet in between is surely the most special time of year.

They call it a Harvest feast, and it seems to fit the bill, for wev'e all come together to enjoy this great meal.

Bala grants us this great suppper,
to let us fill our stomachs now. with much bread and butter.

So to the gods i pray, and to them I give thanks.
For this years great harvest and lack of godly pranks.

Finishing her tune Orion let her composure drop, before letting out a sigh. It hadn't been her best performance but it was far from her worst. Her main qualm being with the words she had come up with. She felt that they could have been better or at least less improvised. With all that said those had heard her song had given small applause and a few Kina had found their way into her open violin case, the evening was not yet a complete waste. Deciding whether or not to perform more, Orion sat upon a bench watching the festivities catching her breath and putting her thoughts together.

Autumn Harvest Festival Fall 32

Postby Kuragari on October 19th, 2015, 11:03 pm

Autumn harvest. Kuragari had always thought this was a trivial event to celebrate since Lhavit produced tea year-round. However he couldn’t help but enjoy the atmosphere and the happiness that it brought the people. And who didn’t enjoy the seasonal foods and drinks that were being passed around oh so generously. Sometimes it was difficult to tell just who had a bit too much to drink, in fact. Kuragari had just passed a pitcher to a heavy set man who got more of the liquid onto the people around him than into his mouth.

Kuragari backed off in disgust and headed over to one of the few areas that wasn’t so densely populated. As he approached, he heard singing accompanied by a stringed instrument. He forced his way through the crowd and eventually got sight of the performer. The song was rather nice and fit the harvest theme quite well. There was some applause, the sound of coins being dropped, and then everyone went back to partying. The silence was quickly filled by singing and talking, but Kuragari was intent on meeting this woman.

After a little more time spent pushing and coaxing people to very kindly let him squeeze by, the beginner mage fond the woman sitting on a bench alone.
“Hello there!” Kuragari would say with a smile as he took a seat next to her, “I enjoyed your song… I’ve never heard it before, did you come up with it?” He initially wanted to give her time to respond, but he blurted out “I’m Kurgari by the way!” He had never been all that good at small talk, but he had just enough alcohol in him to put his inhibitions aside. He had gone out of his way to come out and party, he owed it to himself to try meeting some people!

Autumn Harvest Festival Fall 32

Lhavit was a celebratory place, and Liz was most definitely the celebratory type. Dancing (which she refused to take part in for fear of embarrassing herself, unless properly intoxicated), singing, laughing, drinking, and possibly some flirting were all very enjoyable aspects of many a celebration. Of course, her intent was the same as many partygoers, and that was to have fun.

Not being the type to let herself stay sober for very long at these types of things, Lisana made an effort to track down the alcohol. This was soon found, and she bought herself a glass of ale. Cup in hand, the girl returned to the crowd, amongst many who were making small talk or simply wandering around. After a moment, music began to waft across the crowd, over the faint din of laughter and conversation. If Lisana were a more keen observer, she may have noticed the occasional missed note. But she wasn't, and by her ear, it seemed like a wonderful melody, paired with the talented female voice doing vocals.

She began to make her way to where the music was coming from. It was a short song, so by the time Lisana had approached the musician, her song had ended. The musician was a very slim blonde woman, with pale skin. Before Lisana could approach the woman to complement her music, someone else sparked up a conversation. that being the case, Lisana was comfortable with standing back and observing.
