-Weight: 340

*Chapter 2*
Physical Description: The Akalak. A warrior race in peak physical condition, gigantic humanoids exceptionally adept in combat and skill. To stand out not only as a giant among the Akalak, but also an incredibly fit one is an impressive feat, and yet Dicae does this in spades. Standing a full head over most, and blessed with great genes, Dicae has grown to an unprecedented size. He stands almost a full head over others of his race, and makes the average human look like a child when standing next to one. His arms have also passed the average Akalak in size and length, giving him a natural fighting advantage. He is extremely well kept, his hair always in place and and his teeth always pearly white, but he has shown the beginning signs of cauliflower ears. He has a haunting, yet mesmerizing pair pale golden eyes that seem to pierce whatever he set his gaze upon. This and his premature early silver hair makes Dicae very noticeable to spot in a crowd. His dark midnight blue skin is still relatively light compared to most others of his kind which only adds to the uniqueness of this giant.

His attire is designed from the hide of various animal from across the land, and it is dyed a dark green. The hardened green tunic is two inches thick and cut off at the shoulders with a cut along the neck that descends into a V. On top there is an extra hardened collar that wraps itself around Dicae's neck, but leaves plenty of room for any necessary combat movement. The worn and scuffed breeches are tight fitting, but seem to allow for flexible maneuverability. From waist to ankles it is adorned with many straps, laces, and slots from which various items could be stored and hidden. While traveling his massive frame is hidden under a large midnight black, hooded cloak that does a good job at hiding everything but his size, even covering the back end of his horse. His boots are extremely large and seemingly made for travel, but, they have studded steel plates implanted on the outside tips of the boots, giving his footwear an intimidating physiognomy. As if the thundering footsteps weren't enough.

Character Concept: Dicae is a single minded goal oriented fighting machine. I made him with the sole purpose of being the strongest physical mortal in Mizahar, to be a champion of his God Wysar. I want him to learn and become a relentless and convicted fighter. To become perfectly disciplined and focused with his mind, and become the ultimate self sufficient survivor, all while battling his other half.

He is going to be very religious and always place his god and others before him, in that order. He is going to be a very ethical character, dedicated to his morals and considering himself just enough to carry out the sentence.

I always want Dicae to be facing a challenge, to be overcoming a new obstacle at every turn in his life.I don't want him to ever think there is a limit to how strong he can grow. His entire goal, his purpose for living, is to not only fight with the strongest being alive, but to be on even ground with it when they do.

I want to do all this, but also I want Dicae to continually be at risk of not only giving over to his darker half, but death as well.

-Personality: Relentlessly single minded when training, his entire goal in life is to be the strongest fighter possible, and in his mind his obsessive and over the top training is the best way to get there. When he is focused, nothing can make him deviate from his original intentions, he stubbornly cannot be swayed when he makes a decision. However, when he puts down the training gloves and begins to relax Ari begins to enjoy his surrounding with such a passion and love that it would almost seem as if the fighting giant had the soul of a child. Dicae transforms into a completely different person, a gentle giant, able to get along with literally anyone as long as they behave themselves. Care free, humorous, and even a tad naive Dicae is not what you would expect from someone so large. To other Akalaks Dicae can be annoying and childish at times, as he considers anything that is not a fight, or edible, to be just filler for the exciting parts of his life. However, when Dicae witnesses an affront to what he believes is right and just he will be the first one to act, depending on the situation it could be from gently removing someone to introducing them to the meaning of true, and lasting pain.

Ethics: Dicae is a walking book of cliche’s when it comes to ethics, but he sticks to them through thick and thin because it is one of the few things in life that have served him as well as his physical training. He believes that there is good in everyone, even to a fault; he will always give the ‘bad guy’ one last chance for redemption. He believes in peace and order, although one must train hard and vigilant even in times of peace. Stoicism best describes Ari’s outlook. This helps him deal greatly with his ‘other half’.

Dislikes: The ocean, for some dark and deep seeded reason Dicae cannot stand the ocean, he has described it as a: “Bottomless pit that will drag you down with no chance to even fight your way out”. That sentence could be used to accurately describe a number of things, all of which share a common trait: the inability to battle back, to not even have a chance. All of which frightens Dicae.

Likes: There are five things in life that Dicae will always take the time to enjoy. Number 5 on that list is a fine glass of wine, he is an absolute sucker for that sweet tasting nectar that just soothes the soul and melts the heart. Ari may go out of his way, ok a lot out of his way, just to get one more sip of the, "good stuff". Food is number four on this list, standing at 7' and weighing in at 300 lbs it take a lot of nutrients to maintain that muscle, and a large quantity of nutrients if it is going to be able to maintain peak physical condition. So when Dicae eats, he feasts, not matter where he goes people marvel at the rate on which he can intake food! After the food and smack dab in the middle of the list is laughing, or even just smiling. His father had taught him to enjoy life every chance you get, because times are violent and the times you take for granted could soon be gone in the morrow. And like most Akalaks Ari has a deep seeded fondness for the female gender, and unlike some races the Akalak in general don't care what kind of female they end up with, just as long as they end up with one.

Last but not least is fighting, its what Dicae lives, breathes and will die for. When your goal from over forty years ago has remained the same, dedicated and unwavering, you tend revolve your life around that, and indeed Dicae has dedicated his life to becoming the best, at almost any cost.

*Chapter 3*
Character History-
PC:
Dicae's life began with his mothers death, who had tragically passed away giving birth to the young warrior. His father, a stoic and dedicated warrior himself named Archae, was far too busy with his own training to be a good father. But he tried, and in his stead he hired a Konti woman to take care of the child so he could continue with his training unhampered. This woman became a new mother to Ari and he became attached, often calling her mother when they where alone. When this happened in front of Dicae's father, coupled with the fact that Ari had become more attached to the woman then the father himself, it meant the end of the relationship between the Konti woman and Dicae.

Seeing his child slip away from him, and fully conscious of how his race was dwindling at a rapid rate Archae decided to finally take Dicae under his wing and train him. Dicae's father was hesitant at first, but It didn’t take long for Archae to realize his son was a fighting prodigy. Within months he had seemingly mastered the basics, it was unheard of.
Gradually the training increased in difficulty.
While boys Dicae's age would often lose training time due to getting distracted with riding horses, flirting with girls or any number of things that could sidetrack a curious mind. Not Dicae however.

He was unwavering in his training, single minded with a passion and dedication that not even his father could fathom. Indeed, it seemed like Dicae had a seemingly endless pool of energy from which he could draw forth, his cardio knew no bounds and it wasn’t long before he was outpacing and outlasting his own father.

Dicae' dark side came out early in his life. During training he had reached a point of stress and exhaustion that had simply reached his breaking point. His father, the only one with him at the time, was able to subdue him until the beast inside and gone back to its slumber. With time and his fathers help however, Dicae soon learned when and where o strike a balance. However, there had alway been... complications.

On Dicae's 15th birthday he and his closest friends where chosen to work together for the Rite of Trial. The Glassbeak. Fighting it one on one at such a young age would be foolish, but Dicae had his friends, and he was confident in their abilities. They moved along quietly in a loosely formed formation, careful to not make a sound. From an outsiders point of view they would be unable to distinguish that these where lifelong friends and not just strangers. They never spoke, and their chiselled faces never moved an inch as they moved through the foliage, as they all knew the ferocity of the Glassbeak and would need every bit of surprise on the creature, as it rarely travelled alone.

One of the boys moved ahead to a known clearing where the animals had been spotted before the hunt had begun. Moments had passed and the rest of the group had been waiting patiently, beginning their own way to encircle the clearing. However, they had steered clear of the game trail for fear that the Glassbeaks had not yet come to the waterhole and their scent would scare it off. Dicae himself carried a light spear, a great weapon for this encounter, it had range, piercing power, but was susceptible to breakage. Most of the other boys had carried various other bladed weapons, most noticeably the Lakan.

Suddenly, a sharp whistle from the clearing pierced the dawn sky, the hunt was on.

Dicae moved through the underbrush with relentless tenacity, his need for stealth was abandoned the whistle when the whistle pierces the sky. The whistle had indicated that the prey was were they should be, and every one of the boys had a previously designated area to run to, as the bush was far too thick to give visual chase.

Jumping through the last thorn bush Ari arrived with the other group of boys who had one of the Glassbeaks cornered; a baby. It was still large for its size, bit it was still young, and it was terribly afraid. Dicae was thoroughly disgusted, he had wanted an old wily one, one that would bring him and his father much honour. Instead he had to hunt something that weighed as much as he did.

‘No!’ Ari whispered to himself. He was a warrior, and a warrior needed to hunt. Quickly he retraced his steps, if the baby was here the parents would be here to.

“If only I had bro-”
Ari could feel his heart drop into the very depths of his stomach, his breathing had stopped and everything else in the world seemed to slow down, the way it does for for most when panic is about to set it. The boys in the background where barely audible anymore, no birds where chirping, no insect buzzing. Just a pair of giant yellow eyes, each one the size one of Ari’s fist. The cold eyes of the Glassbeak never wavered, the two where deadlocked with bird seemingly as shocked as the boy. Dicae knew that if he called out for help that the bird would be on him faster than he could even get a word out. No, there was only one way to end this, and to hopefully get out alive

The spear he was holding had the butt end firmly entrenched into the ground, it must have happened during his sudden stop. His own right foot was instinctively placed half on the base of the spear, and half on the ground. Suddenly he could feel his heart gain courage, no longer was it hiding in the depths of his stomach in cowardice, but it was now thumping against his chest, wildly thumping like the great war drums.

He snapped.

Screaming at the top of his lungs Dicae slammed his left foot forward and bent his knee getting as much leverage and weight behind the spear as possible. He would not remember what had happened after that, but it would be retold to him by the other boys who came into visit him in his home. The boys had told him that they had arrived just as the boy and the beast clashed.

They say Dicae savagely moved with a seemingly supernatural quickness, more brought up from desperation and pure instinct rather than honed skill. The giant bird had lunged towards Dicae and plunged itself onto the tip of the spear of the young Akalak, the other boys said they could hear the flesh rip, the muscles snap and the bones crack, all under its own weight. The sheer adrenaline from the moment had even caused Dicae to lift the bird up in there air, and for a moment it must have been quite a sight. However, the old Glassbeak was well over 500 pounds and when the bird came down, it came down hard.

The young warrior woke several days later to cheers and congratulations from all his peers, he had killed one of the largest birds ever during the Rite of Trial, father was proud. However, Ari did not come out of that encounter unscathed, the bird had managed to lift its leg up at the last moment, slashing Dicae from collarbone to waist. It would heal over time, but the giant scar would serve as a constant reminder to the young warrior, just looking at it later on in life would bring an ear to ear grin from tough as nails Akalak.

From the Rite of Trial to the Rite of Manhood Dicae spent his time doing what he does best - training. And although he got into a few fights, organized and not so organized, he stuck to his regime, unwavering, unstoppable. The Rite of Manhood was done by Dicae alone, although most Akalak like to stick to groups when trying to hunt such a dangerous creature, Dicae considered himself far superior to his peers by this point in his life. He has never told anyone how the hunt went, but actions speak louder than words and when a young Akalak brings home evidence of two freshly slain Zith… Well, it makes a father proud.

A few years after the Zith hunt Dicae had begun training with his father under the way of the flux. These lessons were private and not shared with anyone, they persisted for only a short while before Dicae considered it too dangerous to practice in riverfall anymore, he is on the search for anyone who could not only further his abilities, but help him gain more control over it.

Life after becoming a man continued just as it had before, nothing but training and dedication. Something was different now though, something… intangible. There was a certain aura Ari maintained now, an unbridled confidence, a barely contained, yet virtuous fury.

AC:

(Ako-Sten-So . Ria-Ko-Stens)
akohstenso riakohstens: Dicae had recieved Ako just a few years before he had left Riverfall for his travels. The horse was the son of Dicae's fathers horse, and it was a birthday present, goodbye present, and Rite of Manhood gift all wrapped into one. Ako was a strong and patient horse with a warriors spirit, much like Ari. The horses training was still left to the father, but Ari was there everyday watching what his father did, encouraging the horse. Ako learned fast, and learned well. Ari's father was a good trainer, and it helped that he and his horse had seen quite a few battles together. It wasn't long before Ako and Dicae fought side by side, and after that their bond only strengthened. This animal is large just like its owner.

Age: 6
Height:17hh
Color: Palomino

Erhar: A lot of what was said about Ako could be said about Erhar, except maybe that Erhar was a lot more loyal in the sense that he never left his masters side. He took orders unwaveringly and could understand orders well, most of the time Dicae doesn't even have to speak commands anymore, Erhar displays an almost supernatural prowess on predicting Dicae's thoughts. And while his love and dedication to Dicae know no bounds, his trust for strangers is quite limited and he is rarely trustful around those whom he is not familiar with, the opposite of Ako. Erhars vicious side can also come out on the blink of an eye, whether its Dicae giving the signal, or someone else crossing the line, its just never a good thing when a large war dog charges you.

Height: 4' at shoulders. 7' standing.
Weight:190 lbs
Color: Black
