Name: Nogo Vastheput, the denying.

Race: Benshira

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Physical Description: Nogo has ear-length hair with the color of a chesnut and eyes that speak of a coffee bean; dark brown and large black pupils. Her skin is mostly whiter than most Benshira, but it is still tan. She is 5'7, just a human head taller than an average longbow standing up straight. Her brown cloak lay dead upon her body, obviously loosely tied from neglect. The cloak reaches down to her ankles. Her boots have grown weary and torn from many long walks; they look abused by their owner. Her shirt has signs of poor manufacture, possibly made by her herself; the shirt is all one piece like a poncho, with sleeves that are merely leftover bandages that have lost their moistness. Her pants seem to be the only thing of quality on her body. They are loose, but extremely stretchy and durable. Around the outside of all these things, including the cloak, is a sturdy brown leather belt that snuggles its way inbetween potential coin purses, weapon sheaths, waterskins, and a satchel that rests upin her left hip, strung around her right shoulder. Strung the other way, around her left shoulder, is her newly bought longbow and a quiver chalk-full of arrows.
Her face has features commonly found in people who have suffered malnourishment, like hightened cheek-bones, a slight overbite, and a rather thin neck.

Character Concept: A rogue of sorts. Her mind is always in a constant spiral of skepticism and paranoia. She is untrusting in things that are not visible, hearable, or otherwise unobservable. She believes strongly in the physical laws of the world and often looks down upon those who are superstitious or religious. She has no goal in sight, which worries her greatly. She merely lives to live, which may bring unwanted strife within her own mind. She takes great satisfaction in revenge.

Merits: Nogo is very logical and a quick processor of situations. With such ability, a lot of other things come as possible perks; being able to hear people's tones in their voices and determine intent to jumping around upon falling tables to fitting the right amount of rations for a two week trip in one backpack. With knowledge of physics, she's pretty handy with the longbow. Her skeptic outlook on life can really save herself some annoying situations, like say getting ambushed in an alleyway.

Flaws: Nogo is uncharitable, rude, a huge complainer, and rebellious. Some people would render the last adjective as a merit, but I disagree. Her rebellious attitude has helped her lose a lot of things, like a peaceful life with her family. Her arms are thin and weak, only good for pulling back the string of a bow. Her swordskills are that of a dead walrus's, and if given one she would break it somehow or another.

Character History: Pre-Creation: The Vastheput family was always down on their luck. Ever since the beginning of the nomadic society they were a part of, their fortunes have always been lost and forfeited. But, throughout whatever hardship, not a single member ever made a sound of despair or negativity in the open crowds. Many Vastheput funerals have been caused by starvation and sacrificial suicide.

Post Creation: Nogo was born into the Vastheput family, and of course, early within her life a great fear of God and Authority was instilled into her heart. Her father, Eres Vastheput was to do for this. He was a devout follower of Yahal, the god of Faith and Purity. Infidelic acts and impure acts within his family was swiftly dealt with by physical punishment. On weeks with no bread, and days with no water, a single complaint was only going to get one more suffering. Nogo's mother is a kind old lady, who is still alive somewhere in that vast big world. But, she left the Vastheput family household, or rather, left Eres. This made him bitter. He saw this to be an impure act, and condemned any conversation that involved her to be punishable by beating.
Nogo grew up; the only child to survive the frequent waves of famine that occurred every other week. She didn't care much for her sister, of whom she does not remember the name of, but when her older brother, Jakesh died she wailed for days on end. Eres did not approve. Eres saw her mourning as not having faith that Jakesh was better off now, in heaven with Yahal. So, he beat her, and beat her, but she just wouldn't stop her wailing.
Seeing Nogo this was convinced Eres that she was not his daughter. With only a shred of life still in her, she was left behind on a migration of the nomad-group they lived with. The sands of the dunes buried her all, naught but her finger, with a shiny ring; her heirloom, that she buried deep within the earth later on in her life. This ring caught the attention of a roving bandit scout, named Thaik.
Thaik became a father-like figure for Nogo, as this bandit-group had a kind leader, a sort of Robin-Hood give-to-the-poor type, and let Nogo join the band. But, he was too much of a save-all good guy to actually see into people's hearts. His name was Old Hakem, meaning Old Equal, or friend. Every person in his band had some sort of interaction with him before they joined together. Perhaps it was a coin toss into a hat, or a prison escape; Old Hakem had done it.
Nogo was barely strong enough to pull back her arrow at the time, so Thaik was appointed to help her become a functioning member of the crew. It was obvious at the time that Thaik did not want her in a fight. Nogo was only of pre-teen age, so Thaik had an idea. He wanted to teach her how to read situations, like a true scout would. He often rambled about how, back in the mercenary work he used to do, his scout team never thought for themselves. They just took notes and brought them back to their leader. They never got anything done. And so, they were all killed in a sneak attack they did not see coming; one that Thaik did, and retreated.
Thaik... Was not sparing in the details of the battle, and he ended up implanting an image into Nogo's head. This image helped her have initiative to learn.
Over the years, Nogo became a true part of the band. She had gotten rid of her previous traits of being contained and quiet to be a complaining, rebellious, rude, but hilarious woman. People respected her, and some even looked up to her as a rolemodel, despite knowing no combat-techniques. It was her ability to read people's intentions and detect lies that got her respect, as every time she was lied to, there was a little 'mistake' in the ration distribution for the liar.
Thaik was growing of feebleness. But not a single grey hair upon his head. Feeble as in, he did not like the bandit life anymore. Or something like that, Nogo had deducted by watching him in the after-raid parties. She knew something was off. Thaik told Nogo one night in private that he was going to leave, but he wanted her to stay with them. "They've all forgotten the name Thaik the sly," he said, "But they love you. Enjoy your partying, No-no, I want you to live a full life. Stay with them." Nogo cried herself to sleep that night. She tried her best to persuade him to stay, or take her with him, but to no avail. She was losing another father-figure, and this one she actually loved.
Thaik was gone, and nobody but Nogo had noticed. Not even Old Hakem, who preached that he was friend to every single person in his band. This sickened Nogo, and from that day on, she begun her bow-practice.
With no instructor, they bow was near-impossible to understand. But, if given five years with an instrument and no other distractions, one would learn the insides and outs of the object. With this knowledge, she staged an oppurtunity for her to murder Old Hakem.
During one of Old Hakem's day-to-day sermons of charity, an arrow threw itself into his neck. Released by Nogo's bow, she was met with two scimitars slashing at her arms, incurring massive amounts of bleeding. She ran, far, and even stole one of their horses. Her eyes were set on the Human lands of Syliras, and she found herself at the foot of a castle named Stormhold.

Hello,

Your friendly neighborhood CS Liason.
Here are a few things that need correction.

• Title of Character sheet needs to be name only. Please change.
• Racial Bonus= +10 in skill of choice. You can take another skill or add to what you have. Please differentiate with 10RB or something like that.
• Please list your possessions in a format that is easily read. Most make it a list. There are some items in your possessions that are not part of the standard starting package that will need to be taken out of your starting money.
• Need to list the Character’s Location.
• Need to choose two lores. The lore needs to be specific.

When these have been corrected, please PM me.

Thank you,
Factorum
