Caught without a coat.

Alex heads out into the Brtonze woods and comes across another kelvic. Though he's still not used to the interaction.

Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Caught without a coat.

Bronze woods.

Description "Alex Common" Alex thoughts "Myrian" "Fratava" "Others"

The midday sun hung high in the sky as the bows of the trees shifted in the strong breeze. The whistling winds rolling softly through the roots and harshly through the leaves. A perfect sound to mask the soft clink of steel against steel, as Alex crept through the underbrush his steps slow and controlled. Despite being in heavy plate and adorned with blades he was surprisingly quiet having spent near two full seasons learning to muffle the noise as best he could. Admittedly he was hot, beads of sweat trickled down his forehead lightly as he stalked from shadow to shadow. His longbow knocked and ready to be drawn. His first day to just be himself and his pre-knight self. His old trade, with a very spotted history.

His footsteps rolled lightly through the silence, his breath quieted and mixed into the rolling of the winds. His eyes shifted, his ears open. Wary of wolves and other nasties which roamed the bronze woods surrounding the Cobalt Mountains. It’s almost too quiet… His mind mulled over the sounds to himself. No birds and no light whines of the elk or deer which lurked within the forest. A slow creak of wood pierced the silence as he tightened his bow string and then the loud snap of a branch in the distance. He wasn’t alone and it wasn’t a wild animal that made the sound. No that was something else.

Creeping in the direction of the sound still using slow motions and the sound of the swaying branches to cover his advance he lifted the bow up, the arrow knocked and the bow brought to half tension as he pressed his shoulder lightly into one of the trees. He slowly peered around the tree catching sight of a human form crouched down near the river bank. No weapons to be seen but next to it lie a freshly slain deer, looking like it had been mauled by an animal. He held his position weighing the options of revealing himself or not. He was a squire, an aspiring knight so it was his duty to help a possibly injured or at least distraught citizen. Or at least what he assumed to be one. Relaxing the tension slowly he slipped the arrow back into his quiver. And the bow back over his shoulders.

He straightened up and stepped out into the open slowly, quietly postuing himself with his hands behind his back one holding the other at the wrist with a calm look on his features. His medium length blonde hair falling around his face lightly as his piercing green eyes stared out and took in the scene. Time to ante up Croft. Loud and authoritative.
“Excuse me. Is there anything I can do to help?”
His voice cut the silence like a soft melody, the light soothing nature of his tone echoing out no ill intent but a firm sound of authority behind it. His face a soft smile, welcoming and approachable. His usual nature sparking out as he approached most people. Still if he needed to his hands were in the perfect position to draw the dagger which sat across his back in an instant, if he felt threatened. “My name is Alexander Faircroft of the Syliran knights.”
