Additional Info: A headstrong woman with the wild determination of the sea, Mortimer Glasswave was born, grew up and lived almost entirely on the Suvan, her travels taking her all over Mizahar. A frequent to taverns, the vagabond was a popular storyteller in her youth, her charismatic approach gaining her much admiration. A woman that lived fast and loved faster, she took many suitors- Svefra or otherwise- throughout her life, though she bore no children with any of them. Much to the teasing of her podmates, no one lover ever seemed to truly stick with Mortimer, until a stop in Zeltiva led her to the discovery of Vondila Fahim.
Drawn to the woman’s contagious wonder of the world, the Svefra invited Vondila to join her adventures, and, after a good eight seasons of attempts to convince the woman, she agreed. The two were inseparable during their travels, until Mortimer eventually proposed a more permanent arrangement. In the fall of 424 AV the two were wed, their Cheva marks made in the shape of a silver wave, Zintila’s stars decorating the interior of the shape.
In the same year they were wed, the idea of a child came up. In the spring of 425, an eight year old child going by the name Elodie was adopted from an Sylirian orphanage, where the child had previously lived her whole life. It was in Syliras that the couple stayed, until Vondila proposed a visit back to her home city, Zeltiva, in order to pursue an interest of hers she would not disclose. Mortimer agreed, and the couple spent several more years happily within the comfort of Zeltiva's walls. Mortimer returned to her job as a fisherman and general sailor whilst Vondila worked within the city, and it was on such an excursion to the Suvan that everything changed.
By the time the sailor returned, she found herself facing the two people she cared for most dearly in a state of undeath, Vondila having turned not only herself but also her child into a Nuit behind her wife's back. Mortimer reacted out of fear, lashing out before sailing away from Zeltiva, never to return.

Additional Info: Vondila Glassweave, born Vondila Fahim, grew up a quiet life in the heart of Zeltiva. A reserved child, wealthy parents allowed her to pursue a quality education, eventually pursuing studies at the University of Zeltiva. Devoted to the sciences, Vondila took a particular interest in astronomy- and herbalism, to a slightly lesser extent. She excelled in her classes, her most utter devotion to the academics the main secret to her success. A woman of few words and fewer friends, it was in her early adulthood that she met the boisterous seafaring Svefra she soon came to know as Mortimer Glassweave. Though the attraction Mortimer felt towards Vondila was immediate, the opposite was not as obvious. It took many seasons of courting before Vondila admitted her affections, and a good time after that before she accepted the seemingly impromptu request to join her partner on the seas.
Finishing up her studies at the University, Vondila took off on a new adventure, beginning a journal to document any and everything she saw. From a subdued intelligence to a wide-eyed wonder, the scholar took to adventure well, Mortimer by her side. After a long while of this, they were wed aboard a Svefra ship, their Cheva marks taking the form of an ocean wave lined with silver, small stars dotting the skin and around the mark as well as within the lines. Shortly after they stopped in Syliras, during which Mortimer proposed the idea of a child. At first, Vondila was hesitant, but after a visit to an orphanage and the meeting of a small girl, she was sold on the idea. Vondila loved the girl with all her heart, and it was during this period of intense joy that the scientist was hit with the realization that nothing would last forever. A thought that was simply passing for most people, but Vondila couldn't seem to escape the notion.
The scientist dwelled on the inevitability for seasons, an ever-present worry in the back of her head. She became obsessed with finding a way to prevent the decay of her perfect life, and eventually proposed that the new family move back to Zeltiva. It was an underhand move, so Vondila could utilize the city of knowledge's great wealth of information to find a solution to her problem. Years passed, and, in a way, she was right. After growing desperate, the scientist found herself investigating the more under-the-table facets of the city, eventually coming across her answer in the form of a Nuit, whom offered her immortality at a small price. When Mortimer left their child with Vondila on a routine fishing trip, she made her move.
Mortimer didn't take kindly to Vondila's choice, and a violent exchange between the two left the scientist in a lonely state with a child to care for and a new Lacun mark to show for it.
