City Standing
Not so long after the Rising Dawn was abolished Lucillus & Associates worked with the Black Sun to present safeguards to the city. Together they comprised of a new method to safeguard the city from all of those that would seek to enter and go against Rhysol. This method involves an alert standing that is tracked by the Ebonstryfe, and is recorded within the Temple of the Black Sun. Bells are rung once when the sun rises and once as it falls. If any change of status is made throughout the day it will ring immediately when the decision is made.
The bells will only sound with the collaborating amount of a lingering and ominous sounding ring. The more times a bell is rung the more ominous sounding it becomes. There is a slight delay in the ring, and it doesn't last long unless the bell is rung more than once.
1 Ring: Ebonstryfe are on normal stance, businesses are booming, theft and crime is low, and visitors are allowed under normal conditions.
2 Rings: Ebonstryfe are a bit more tenacious than usual. Business is still running, but are on alert for any reports of theft or crime. Getting into the city might require additional questioning and searching. In rare circumstance a fee might incur.
3 Rings: Ebonstryfe requires that all citizens present their papers as they walk past. Non-citizens are put on a curfew and watched very carefully. A non-citizen can only travel about the city during daylight.
4 Rings: Any and all transportation between the city and the lakeshore is completely stopped. If boats are found making their way through the lake Ebonstryfe immediately responds. Non-citizens are not allowed to walk the streets. Safety considerations are made, and all current prisoners are killed.
5 Rings: Ebonstryfe is at full alert, and the marketplaces are shut down. Ebonstryfe readies all forces able to take arms.
