CHARACTER HISTORY & DESCRIPTION

With a mind that ticks like clockwork, Soral revels in the state of being methodical and precise. No greater pleasure exists to her beyond that of acting in self-assured measure. In a world born of chaos and wrath - exerting total control over her surroundings proves there is a possibility of pure, unadulterated order. While she could be described as strict, sometimes even cold, there is an underlying theme of general amusement behind her actions. She finds the world to be similar to a game, where the final goal is to fit every piece of the puzzle into an understandable collective.

Soral found herself drawn to the art of gadgeteering in her early childhood. Obsessively curious, even for a child, she discovered a small shop near her home filled with odds and ends. Trinkets that ticked, and whirred, and made use of tiny cogs and movements and gears. Fascinated by the intricate displays - Soral inquired as to the origin of their creation and was led to her path in academia at the youthful age of twelve. Her father, a professor in the sciences of medicine, ushered her into various classes at the University of Zeltiva. It was here she found refuge in mathematics, the simple logic and sheer black-and-white nature of the knowledge appealing to her in a way nothing else could. Drowning herself in a realm of numbers and measurement, the girl slowly began to learn, and hone her mind into a blade.

Voracious in her appetite for learning, she proved to be a quick study. The application of numerology becoming an instinct to her rather than a passive skill or ability. She'd find herself studying buildings and estimating the various diameters of a wall, or the beam running alongside it; or shake herself out of a reverie in which she had assigned a pair of divisors to a duo of cobblestones and had been seeking their respective multiples on a set of lower blocks. Fitting the world around her into a box seemed only sensible, and enjoyable, to boot. Part of what came with constraining her surroundings into the shape she desired was the urge to perfect herself. A certain arrogance overtook the youth, spurning her onward into her studies and setting her on a direction wherein the pursuit of knowledge and raw skill overcame all else. To outsiders she seemed an insatiable beast intent on the consumption of everything unknown, yet within, Soral felt she could simply never fill a certain gaping hole in her chest. No matter how many books she read, nor what tutelage she sought; dissatisfaction only seemed to follow. To this end she turned elsewhere.

Upon her nineteenth birthday Soral sought gainful employment, taking on an apprenticeship role in the shop she had uncovered not so long ago. The owners, a colorful crew, took her under their wing and noting her carnivorous penchant for devouring information, began to impart what knowledge they could in exchange for her assistance. Bohrnn & GoldWoerth, an environment not unlike heaven for the woman, proved to be exactly what she required. It was here her skillset began to grow, and she put it to use in the most devoted of fashions. What little time she didn't spend in the facilities or work areas were often set aside on personal projects within her own home. It was peaceful in a sense, and gave a slight pause to the yearning hunger that ceaselessly bellowed inside her head.

Soral had grown into a woman at this time, her eyes of sapphire burning with an intensity that spoke of a desire for more. Long blonde locks were often tied behind her head with a band while she was in the shop, cascading down to her waist in thick lengths when otherwise released. She dressed in a snug attire, simple stark white cloth material strapped to her body to hide the strong frame that had been built from handling lengths of iron and heavy wood. She was somewhat of a minimalist when it came to her state of dress but enjoyed the application of makeup. It was yet another constraint she could put on the world, altering her appearance. At some point, it became a game to practice in the mornings when she awoke. She would adjust her pallets to pale blues and lighter grays, finding a fondness for the ease with which the colors spread. Not long before she'd past twenty cycles of age, Soral had begun to attract attention. Flirtatious attitudes were met with charmed amusement, and instant termination of any possibility of a future together. Still, suitors came and went. She shirked men and women alike in favor of her exploration and forays into her craft.
