How far can flashbacks go?

As far back as your character's been alive, I assume. Some Ethaefal/Nuit PCs have even done flashbacks of their previous lives/before they became undead.

You can do flashbacks anytime in regards to this lifetime. If you want to do a past life flashback, that's fine as well. Be forewarned though, flashbacks for past lives will not gain you any XP in the current life. My suggestion is to stick with childhood and above for your PC and keep it in this life.

another question to do with flashbacks, if you do a training flashback to your childhood when you were somewhere else, do you post the flashback in the place were it occurred(say growing up in Syliras) while you are currently in another town or region?

so do you post a flashback at wherever the flashback occurred?

i am thinking you do, but i want to make sure...

To me it would depend how you write the flashback.

If I write it as being in Syrilas and recalling events elsewhere then I'll post it in Syrilas. If I'm writing it as though I were there at the time it happened then I'll post it in the place where it happened.

The difference between the two doesn't have to be too great and it can be a way of putting a flashback into a location that doesn't have an active mod. So I could post an opening post setting the scene in Syrilas, leaning back in a chair casting my mind back to old memories, then post 2 I'm back in time writing it just as it happened, last post back in Syrilas.

Mind you with the last one if you are doing something the mods in Syrilas don't know much about you might want to ask them before you do it.
