Riona Appearance Race: Human Gender: Female Starting City: Birthplace: Lhavit Appearance: What do you look like? taller side for a woman, she has a slightly curved build with some rounding at the hips and a well endowed chest size. Her hair is a deep black with blue high lights showing themselves in the right lighting most often in low level lights such as indoor lighting or twilight. She has a light skin tone that contrasts with the darkness of her hair, the hair itself is thick and straight reaching to just above her waist when she chooses to leave it loose. Her eyes are a light brown with a slight almond slant to them, they have gold undertones if one stares close enough. A high bridged, long nose, full lips and a slightly pointed chin finishes out the rest of her face. Her clothing is mainly in dark colors in modest cuts. She is more interested in range of movement rather than fashion. They tend to be in heavy fabrics made to with stand traveling without much damage. When weather calls for it she wears a heavy hooded cloak made of dark wool in addition to her daily wear. Nor does she wear much jewelry save three silver rings on the ring, pinky, and thumb on her right hand. Her foot wear tends to be boots of a dark leather that reaches to the mid calf and clearly have seen some wear. Character Concept Quietly forceful. Sensitive. Can feel victimized, prone to intimidation. Strict with self. Character History Riona was raised by her grandmother. Born in Lhavit her father was a shoe maker. Her young childhood was care free enough her parents believing her childhood should be as carefree as possible before responsibility of adulthood and older childhood came raining down on her. As it turned out they would never get the chance to see how their daughter would turn out. Her father died when she was a young child, he had made some enemies over the years and one took advantage of the fact he was coming home one night from the local watering hole and buried a dagger deep within his chest. No one knew his of course, all that was clear was he never returned. Her mother, always a delicate woman snapped when she found out her husband was not coming home. Sinking deeper into grief she left Riona on her mother in laws door step and simply walked away. It was the last time Riona saw her mother. Luck was on her side in so much as small children are fairly resilient to change, and her grandmother was not her mother and treated her kindly allowing her to adjust slowly to her new life. As the months went on Riona began to understand this was her life now. Although, she never quiet accepted the fact her mother saw no other choice but to leave her there no matter how much she loved her grandmother. As it happened her grandmother was well known in the community as an herbalist, healer, and midwife. As she got older she began to accompany her grandmother when she made her visits. At first as some one who carried her bags and fetched things she needed but had but had left at home. As she got older her grandmother began to explain things to her, seeing it as a way for her granddaughter to be able to make a living for herself. As Riona began to learn her craft it became clear that while she had talent another person was drawing more attention to themselves and angering the more formally trained physicians who looked down on such people, despite the fact most of the people under their care were not able to afford treatment from a physician. To this end one of the began the rumor that dark magics were used to treat people. It was not true of course, but like most rumors the more scandalous it sounded the further and faster it spread. As the hostility began to spread the harder life became, hostile looks and slammed door would greet them on occasion when visiting people who requested their services. This went on for some times before Riona had enough of it. Deciding to pack up and seek a better life else where she packed her belongings and set out to expand her practice else where, where there were no rumors to interrupt her life.
