Anzaj

A dancer that grew up in Alvadas, Anzaj grew up with seeing the wonders of the city through the windows of the orphanage. Never one to be sad about things for long, Anzaj has a way of rolling with the blows and just making the most of his situations. He especially enjoys discovering new and exciting things, and experiencing everything he didn't get to while suffering in the orphanage. Alvadas is full of mysteries and he wants to discover them all.

Description:
Anzaj has pale skin that never seems to tan no matter how much he time he spends in the sun, just burning if he lingers too long. His skin flawlessly smooth he never minds being the object of someone's attention. Slim in build, he doesn't lack muscle it's just that of a dancer or runner, not a weight lifter. His hair is black, framing a soft face that still has it's boyish charms. Eyes the color of the summer sky always seem to be widened as he observes the wonders of the world around him with a smile on his face.

History

Born to two dancers of middling fame in Alvadas as the "Elemental Dance Duet", Anzaj came into being at the wrong point in time. His parents fame had just started growing with there success in incorporating the very elements into there routine, and as such there was no room for a child. His parents hid the pregnancy until he was born, after which they took him and dropped him off at the Ornery Orphanage.

Growing up in the orphanage, Anzaj would always stare out the windows at the marvels of the city just beyond and yearn to go an experience it all. Outside things would change constantly, and yet inside the walls the only thing that changed was his fellow orphans. He made friends and made the most of it, yet he couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy every time one of his peers was chosen to be adopted.

At the age of nine Anzaj finally got his wish and was chosen by a single man to become his child. Scared and nervous, he went with the man to his home where he was treated as more of a student then a son. Taken off guard, Anzaj quickly grew to enjoy his role and aptly applied himself to learn everything he could from the man.

Over the years living with him he learned to dance and fight, his adoptive father and mentor saying both were much the same. When he got skilled enough at moving and controlling his body, he was taught the arts of dancing with the flow of water, not just using it as a prop but as an extension of himself. Sworn to secrecy and inducted into Reimancy, he doubled down his practice and strived hard to master the styles he was taught.

It wasn't until a little after his seventeenth birthday, when the man who had adopted and raised him failed to return home after a performance, that Anzaj realized he had never actually learned the mans name. Thinking back he would swear that he had known it, but he could never actually think of the name.

As the days went by, he waited patiently in there house for his father and mentor to return home and yet he never did. However as he waited the house underwent strange changes. It slowly faded and dimmed, changing from a pristine home of a skilled artist into that of a rundown place that hadn't been maintained in years. After a weeks time, there was no sign anyone had ever lived there other then himself other then a pair of black boots with an inverted triangle and a Vildani in its center embroidered into the side that his mysterious parental figure always wore.

He left his now dilapidated home and went to the center of sanity in search of answers. He inquired about who the owner of his house was and where he went and even after getting the answer was left with many more questions. He was informed that he was the owner of the house and that he had come by the previous season to purchase it. There was no record of the man who had raised him ever living there.

Anzaj then went to the ornery orphanage looking for the records of when he was adopted, and again the answer just left him with more questions. There was no adoption, he had simply run away one day and they hadn't heard from him since.

Refusing to believe that the time he spent after the orphanage was just an illusion, just a figment of his imagination, Anzaj prepared to search Alvadas in search of answers. Who was his foster father? Where did he disappear to? Why did no one seem to know anything about the man who had raised him? He wanted answers to them all, along with the answer to all the mysteries of Alvadas.

Housing

House: A 20x20ft home that looks like it hasn't been maintained in years. It has a small bedroom and a cut off kitchen. The rest of the house is one large room with space enough to practice dancing and other pursuits. The only furniture in the large room is a small table and chair in one corner upon which a dozen different pages lie at any given time.
