88 Spring, 517 AV
An off chill cut through the city of Ravok. It wasn't an unpleasant thing, being in the end of spring and being only a slight departure from the typical mild baseline weather of the city. For many people, it was an interesting sensation, a peculiar oddity worth exploring and enjoying. And all throughout the city people were taking to the streets to enjoy the oddly cool air.
So it was that Rafael L'ai found himself on the rear steps of the The Galatos Family Commorancy for Children enjoying the gift that weather had given him as an opportunity to get a bit of fresh air since all he wanted to do was practice his calligraphy, and usually this task put him well indoors much to the chagrin of those who'd been charged with giving the boy a bit of physical activity. Now, however, a sot of compromise had been struck. Rafi had gone outside as he'd been encouraged to at last, only to take his notebook and pencils with him. Satisfied to just let the mild breeze toss his hair while he penned away at his practice, the youth had no more gotten any physical activity other than the hopping and scratching of his pencil. Still, he was outside and that fit the letter of his instructions, if not the spirit of it.
