A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

A field trip of sorts, or something like that, it was an odd thing. Hwyn wasn’t sure what to think of what he was being taken out to do, the Commorancy, as they called it, was making him learn and do all sorts of things, and to boot, they were kinda nice. The idea was just odd, to think that people were giving without asking much in return was just strange, and when he’d voiced an opinion on it being weird he was met with an “oh you poor child” and had to listen to a lecture on how it was “An Investment for the future.” Hwyn still didn’t know what an investment was but the lady made it sound important. Though what he did understand was that one of the things the people wanted out of their wards was for them to all leave career ready, a Job, that was a concept he’d found funny he’d never had employment before, he’d only been a slave and a street rat, two things he was nervous too admit, so he’d just made it obvious that he had no real talent, but that he was happy to learn.

So they’d devised field trips, or outings for them to go and see different business’s in Ravok. and one of the places was a shop called Gemmei's Engravings, Hwyn wasn’t too sure of what an engraving was exactly but he knew it could be associated with Jewelry so at the very least that was something that interested him. So he’d happily agreed to go though he had a sneaking suspicion that refusal hadn’t been an option, though he’d never really been given choices sense he’d ended up in the forsaken bastion city. At the very least it made for a cushy prison. With that said, he didn’t think the prospect of a career bothered him though he wasn’t quite sure of what to expect. Or that the Nitrozeans wouldn’t reclaim him he hadn’t broached the topic nor had anything been said to him about it. Perhaps no news was good news but it was something he didn’t wish to have over his head forever. Going along with the orphanages plans for the time being Hwyn resolved to give this new life a running go and hope that he really did stick somewhere even under the shadows of doubt.
So putting his best foot forward Hwyn accompanied the teacher and a few of his “peers” the other three chattered amongst themselves, Hwyn still played the role of the odd stranger. His demure size and cleanliness made him a stranger to the boys and his scars and quiet nature kept the girls from reaching out. Such was what he was used to however so he didn’t mind bringing up the rear to the small unit happy to observe the goings on of the city as he walked through it not as a slave but a student. Not much had changed but his own perspective had.

When the reached the storefront Hwyn looked eagerly at the windows and found that he was quite interested in the wares within. This place really did make jewelry and it really did make make elegant blades and carvings. For once, he actually felt a little bit excited about learning a trade.
