Appearance
Standing at five feet, Alya’ria is short even for a Konti. She’s thin and waiflike in stature, seeming to hold a fragility about herself.
Like all konti her hair is pale, being an almost white blonde that hangs in loose waves to her rib cage, and her eyes are a light blue.
The feature that distinguishes her most from humans, are the iridescent and shimmering scales that are typical of the konti. Her scales adorn her body, leaving only the front of her torso, neck and face below the forehead clear of the scales, along with the gills on each side of her neck, just above where her neck meets her shoulders.
On the left side of her neck, just in front of her gills, is her mark of divination, a stylised lily that could almost be mistaken for an intricate tattoo if it weren’t for the blue and green shimmering effect over it.

Character Concept
Alya’ria, or Aly as she prefers, at first glances is calm and gracious, like most Konti. Though those that have spent any length of time around her have come to learn that this is a facade, an act she puts on to hide her true self from those might interfere or that simply don’t matter.
In reality, she is self-entitled and bratty, believing herself to be superior to a lot of other beings due to her upbringing. To her everyone, that isn’t in a clear position of power over her, is worthless and simply a tool to be used for her own gain.
On top of that, she can be incredibly cruel to those that are clearly inferior, such as slaves, having been known to use slaves as test subjects.
She sees herself as being the best and having no weakness, not realising quite how flawed she really is, and when anyone can point out where she is wrong, or exploit her weaknesses she can become a quivering wreck, not knowing what to do as her family shielded her from such things as she grew up.
Deep down inside she knows she isn’t the best and that she is very weak, being fully aware that a number of races could kill her in a heartbeat. One could even say that she is scared of the knowledge that she isn’t as superior as she likes to think, but this is something that she refuses to admit to herself, keeping it buried inside herself.
Character History
Alya’ria’s parents came from two separate worlds, her father Elton having lost his parents at a young age but managing to rise to a well off situation working as a slaver, while her mother, Kita’nila, was a konti healer that had spent all her life on Konti Isle, only leaving when she desired to find a mate and to bear children.
Eventually Kita’nila and Elton met in Sunberth, and within two seasons Kita’nila was pregnant and helping Elton with his work as a slaver, though reluctantly
In the summer of 465AV, Alya’ria was born in Sunberth to the two slavers. Until she was 13, she spent her life either in Sunberth, or in the Wilderness near Sunberth with her parents caravan as they preyed upon weary travellers to turn into slaves and sell for profit.
Her mother wasn’t fond of the trade but had fallen for her father, so desperate to find another way to make a living, she suggested that they make their way to Konti Isle and export vision water to the mainlands. So when Alya’ria was 13, they made the journey to Mura and started attempting to become involved in the exportation of Vision Water.
For two years Alya’ria stayed in Mura, finding that she couldn’t stand the delicate personalities of the other Konti, believing herself to be superior. After those two years, her mother and father realised that their attempts were going nowhere and were proving to be not as lucrative. With heavy hearts Elton and Kira decided to stop their exports. Alya’s mother made the choice to remain in Mura, while her father planned to head back to Sunberth, and Alya chose to accompany her father.
After another year, her father was killed in a pub brawl, and Alya at the age of sixteen was taken under the care of a close friend of her fathers, named Greig, who in secret practiced magic on a few slaves of his. They travelled together and Greig trained Alya in hypnotism and started to teach her some Malediction, often returning to Sunberth for Alya to pay her respects to her father, though they were always careful to never allow anyone in Sunberth to find out about their magic practicing.
Five years ago, while in Sunberth one of Greig’s slaves escaped, and he told the people of Sunberth that Greig was a mage. Alya, not caring about anything other than her own survival, lied and told the people that Greig had used her to help hide his use of magic, and had forced her not to tell anyone through a mix of hypnotism and making her fear for her life.
Her lies worked, barely, and she spent the rest of her time in Sunberth avoiding leaving her home and attempting to continue Greig’s slaving unsuccessfully, until she heard of Ravok and took her chances, heading to Ravok with Gale, Greig's once personal slave, to see if it was quite how it sounded. She took a few stops on the way and in the winter of 517AV has finally made her way there
