4th of Winter 517 A.V. Early morning
Maya got ready to go down to the docks in order to check and see if an incoming ship had made it in yet. Her family was looking for a shipment of wine and slaves to come in. Walking downstairs the girl was still in her pajamas yawning. She was in no particular hurry to get there seeing as how it was still early morning. The young Lark popped her neck with a grunt, her thoughts drifted to the cherry that had seemed to be following her around. Looking out her window, she remembered him just showing up at her family home just a few short days before. The dark haired, woman did not know what to make of the man. It seemed as though he truly had no idea who the five major families of the city were. Which was a nice change of pace at times.
The city constantly watching her every movement often wore on the girl's nerves. The dark haired woman planned on working on creating contacts for herself within the city. Having a guard on her side along with a young orphan would prove useful in the future. Pulling on her boots the girl exited her home and decided to walk for a bit before catching a ride. She got about a hundred yards from the estate before catching a ride. Sitting down the girl told the woman where to go. After getting going good, the driver got her attention before telling her a very interesting rumor. Maya turned and told the woman to repeat what she had just said not believing it.
“What did you just say?” the Lark asked.
“A rumor has been spread about a dinner party held on the night of the 4th, starting just before dark. At Tarsin's, the first place we visited. Food and talking, no dancing. A mage dinner party, only magic users are invited,” the woman spoke again.
“Do you know who is hosting said event?” Maya asked, her interest had been peaked.
“I did not receive that information,” she said.
“I see take me to Tarsin's then,” Maya said and got comfortable.
