If fire in the sky wasn't enough to add to the weird events of the winter season Syka, falling snow just adds more questions than answers...

Aladon was surprised at how light the kelvic was as he tossed her off of him. If he was smart warrior, he would have rolled on her an pinned her to the ground. As he threw her to his side, he hesitated a moment than he moved to pin her down. This hesitation would allow her time to get into a better position resist his pin. When he went for the pin, he made the same mistake she did when she pounced on him. He held her down by the shoulder, so it aloud her to have free use of her arms and legs. The woman was in fury of playfulness and aggression under him, so she reached up grabbed his arm and bit into it. The brown haired woman howled in pain, and Aladon said with playful chuckle, “Ha! Serves you right, Mittens!” The kelvic seemed put off by her failed biting attempt, and the Isur had a big smile on his face as he looking down at her. He was seriously having fun wrestling with her right now as she flailed around under him to get free.

Suddenly a fist came out of nowhere and hit him square in the jaw. Aladon was dazed for a moment as his vision got blurry from the hit. When he regained his senses, he was still holding her down since he had the clear weight advantage on her now. However, she was squirming to much with overly happy expression her face. He couldn't help himself and smile playfully down to her. Looking around, he saw the hat lying on the ground next to her. He grabbed the hat with his right hand, smushed it on to her face, and said with a fake evil laugh, “Mittens! Time for you to feel the full fury of ancient Isur art of hat smushing!” The Isur decided to take the opportunity to get away from the flailing kelvic and get back to his feet. Jumping away from her, he got some distance between them and widened his stance, so if she charged him, he could to catch her. It was the plan, and he was sure that the woman would do something completely unpredictable to foul it up.

As Aladon was standing there waiting for Nya to pounce, the Isur saw the clouds turn grey, and since he was facing the Maw, he saw lights over the treeline. Suddenly, it started to snow. In Syka of all places! He would have stopped the play time with Nya, but the kelvic seemed so happy at this moment. He decided to forget the odd weather and let her play with him. If he was ever going to break the ice with her. He had to let her be herself. The wind had a cool nip to it as the snow started to fall on the tropical beach. Aladon waited for her get free of the hat and said to her with a shyte grin on his face, “I am disappointed. I thought you were the apex predator, Nya. Come and get me!”

Questions in the Snow (Nya)

Postby Nya Winters on January 24th, 2018, 2:52 am

She was going to kill him. There was nothing else too it. Smushed under his sweaty hat, Aladon earned himself a frienemy for life! A muffled yowl was heard as she thrashed harder until he broke off and gave her room. If Aladon called her “Mittens” one more time, she was going to smash that grin off his face with her fist and keep going until he cried uncle and apologized for his serious lapse of judgement. She was glad she’d landed the punch, which surprised her, even though she decided she should have struck out harder. Even as Aladon flung himself away from her and reset his attack position, she lithely sprung to her feet, crouched low, and eyed him with the keen awareness of a predator assessing prey.

She’d never ate Isur before. Assuming they’d be tough, she’d never given it a thought. But now she was happy to give it a try. She’d report back to the general settlement once they’d discovered their beloved blacksmith was gone. Her assessment was over the moment he threw her another taunt. She was vulnerable to them because in her training she’d never had Abashai be anything but calm and collected. Aladon was playing on her kitten nature and all but dangling himself out there like a giant cat toy.

Nya purposely glanced at his left leg, and shifted her weight as if she were going to go for a move that would knock him to the ground via kicking that sides’ knee in. Then the Kelvic charged with a cat-like hiss. She knew she had lightness, nimbleness, and cat reflexes on her side. The Forest Cat in human form charged at him, her whole focus on that knee.

However, when she came into his range, she darted right at the last moment, reached out and grasped his right weaker arm and tried to swing herself around him via the momentum of her charge. Monkeys had nothing on her! If she could make the move happen, she’d wrap her human legs around his back as she came around. It would be the perfect POUNCE on his back. And if she could make it happen, she’d sink her teeth straight into the back of his neck like any decent big cat bringing down prey. Nya had no allusions that she could break the flesh or do any real damage, but by the Gods her plan was to teach him ….. something. Surely there be a lesson in there somewhere. Call her ‘Mittens’ by the Gods…

Questions in the Snow (Nya)

The snow was falling harder, but Nya Winters was unaware of the falling snow because she was determined than ever to win this fight. Aladon wondered if she even saw the snow falling around them as she got really low to ground. Even if she was in human form, she still had the mind of a large predator stalking her prey. The blacksmith wasn't going to back down, so he waited there for her to pounce. Suddenly, she sprung to her feet and charged him. When she got close, he reached out to grab her, but he missed. She quickly veered to the right and used his weaker arm to swing up onto his back. This sudden act of agility completely caught him by surprise because she wrapped his legs around his waist and sunk her teeth into his neck. The Isur howled in pain and frustration as he reached back to grab anything as he struggled to get the feral woman off his back.

The Isur noticed that she was light weight, so he could carry her with not as much effort. However, she had the advantage because she could do just about anything to him without much resistance from him. Looking at the salty water of the Suvan Sea, the Isur smiled to himself, so he grabbed her ankles, so she couldn't escape and slowly lumbered them both over to the ocean. He figured the brown haired kelvic realized by now as they got closer that he was going to throw her in the water. Taking the punishment from her, he started to wade into the water with the light women on his back, so he turned around to face the treeline. Nya was now facing the deeper part of the water, so still holding her ankles, he fell backwards with her still on him into the salty water. As he hit the water, he let go of her ankles, so she could escape once she was under the water.

When Aladon resurfaced, he moved to the more shallow part of the beach and waited for the woman's reaction when she finally resurfaced from the watery depths. When she surfaced from the warm water, he pointed at her and started to laugh, “It serves you right for biting me!” He splashed her and asked with a chuckle, “Weren't you supposed to teach me unarmed combat, or are you just going to use me as a chew toy all day?” Since the water was much warmer than the air above it, the water looked like it started to steam as the snow fell on it's surface. Aladon lowered his shoulders under the surface because the snow and the wind were cold. It reminded him off the surface of the Unforgiving when there was a cold wind blowing through the mountains.
