Earl, the Man, the Legend, the Character Sheet
First Name: Earl
Surname: ???
Age: 33
Sex: Male
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 180lbs
Earl is standard by all accounts in the looks department. Boring dark brown hair, kept short on the sides and in some weird phase of growth on the top, matches the man's slightly lighter brown eyes. Not pale, but not dark skin puts him right in the center of the normal band. Strong, but not muscular, and accented with a slightly enlarged belly, Earl looks like he's spent a little too much time sitting and watching his potions and not enough time walking around in his garden.
Earl is a mild mannered, reasonable fellow that tends to think before he acts when time is of the essence and act before he thinks when it's the worst possible time to do so. His flaw, by far, is his uncanny terrible luck. He is obsessed with plants, potions, and medicines, but often goes about the creation process with, "I wonder what will happen when I do this?" His only saving grace is the fact that he keeps very tidy notes. Well, tidy on paper. The multitude of notebooks, however, are usually not kept that tidy. Earl isn't often surprised. Through his terrible luck, he's accepted that just about anything can happen and he keeps a high morale by simply dealing with it.
As a child of Sunberth, Earl lived under the same suspicions and untrusting natures of his parents and the rest of the citizens. However, he paid less attention to how everyone treated each other and more towards the conditions that everyone was forced to live in/with. Disease ran as rampant as the rats. Dust from the mining of the past caused health concerns that followed the people through the generations. Houses decayed as quickly as their residents and while Earl always stayed out of arm's reach of the healthy, he'd always done what he could to help the sick. His ability to tend to those in need never developed beyond that of first aid, but now that he's out on his own, he's looking to advance himself and his medical knowledge.
When Earl managed to save enough to sever himself from his family and make a life of his own, his father gave him an apothecary box as a parting gift. "May you find the life you're hoping for," was the wish Earl was given. Unconventional for Sunberth, but not at all unnecessary, the path of a doctor, a good doctor, was very rare.
