The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

5th Day of Summer 519 A.V

Saga had kept to himself since he had arrived late last season to the Kalea region. He walked down the streets behind a small group of women. They were on their way to the Sharai Peaks like many others. The break from the capital city of Syliras was much needed. However it would be a bad stay if he didn't find work soon. He patted his pockets as his last bit of money jingled there. Dressed in black, his Akaija robes was attracting a lot of heat from the sun. His long white hair was tied into a small bun in the back while two strands hung by his face. At least he looked well off. He could hear that people were excited for today.

Rumors and conversations began to sprout a couple of weeks ago. The talks had simmered down after an incident had occurred. But Saga did not get the full scoop on the incident so he didn't worry about it. For once he'd be going to an event for himself. He hadn't been able to enjoy his time since he was in Riverfall.

He would like to return their one day, but Lhavit was a sight to see by itself. It was worth the trek. People had gotten used to him being there, and smiled and nodded towards his general direction. They were not curious of him, but accepted without pause.

Saga felt that something to do with the many types of races that lived here. Especially one he had never seen or met before he entered the city. The Ethaefel. They were unique to him, he wanted very much to converse with one. Today he felt he should get out and make friends, he had been holed up in his apartment for far to long.

Vurik gave a sinister feeling that troubled the mental bond between him and Saga. It was a new habit that he was practicing. One that made Saga very concerned. He had all but abandoned talking sense to Saga, as they did not see eye to eye on things. But the feeling subsided and he was quiet once more. The Akontak shrugged and continued walking the path to the Okomo estates.

The villa was massive, and the scenery was great too see. Before long Saga anticipated that Lhavit would eventually grow on him. The trek wasn't long when he made it all the way to the Okomo Villa. There were many buildings, spread out but all within the same area.

Not exactly know where to go. Saga cleverly continued following behind the group of women who he believed were going to see the Okomo as well. Which happened to be a good idea, as they were able to direct him to the correct building. There were a few people outside already, some employees and others were of course citizens. Okomo Day had already started.

The group was headed to a small cottage and not one of the larger buildings yet. He assumed it was the office station for the Okomo. He walked into the cottage after the women, and immediately drew the eye of everyone there. "Um...hello ." He spoke in Common with a thick Tukant accent.

Must you open your mouth?? Vurik questioned him sarcastically.

With that attitude. Of course. Saga snapped back.

In the small building there was only few people there. They were curious to his arrival but nodded. They are definitely a curious lot. Saga thought to themselves. He waited his turn for the clerk at the desk to deal with the group before him. After they were finished he was beckoned forward.

"How can I help you?"

"Greetings. Where might this...Okomo Festival be?"

"First time?"

"Yes. I am new to the city. And I heard about this Okomo day. I have yet to see one."

"Well you'll enjoy your time in our city. And the beauty of our native Okomo. This is where you should go." The young man behind the desk gave him directions showing him how to maneuver through the Okomo Village. Saga thanked him and made his way there. Being sure to take in the view of the land around them. The view was reminiscent. The beauty of it all reminded him of his home, making him miss Riverfall more.

One day we'll be back. He noted.

But it didn't take long before he was able to see the large crowd of people gathered around a large fenced area. There was a large shaggy dog prancing around the place. Obviously very happy with himself. Saga smiled, he never seen a dog before either. Making his way down a small hill he walked towards the fenced area. He was able to get a better look at the Okomos.

They were beautiful. Honestly. They are surprisingly colorful. Priskil would love one of these.

There is more to life than your slight obsession for this Goddess.

They are at least honest feelings.

Unfortunately.

[Sharai Peaks] Enjoying the Festivities

There was a large crowd there already. Enjoying free drinks given out at a homemade stand. The crowds were grouped into different activities. The group that held Saga's attention were the ones who were feeding the Okomo personally. The Okomo were much larger than he had anticipated.

Some of them towered the smaller humans and Etheafel. There was a man passing out treats to give to the Okomo. There seemed to be three of them whom had flocked to the ones handing out treats.

Saga walked to the man. He was dressed in simple beige cotton clothing. There was a lot of eagerness as he was passing out treats. The Akontak asked for a one or two treats and he was happy to oblige. Though it came with a small warning, "Be sure you approach slowly with caution."

His eagerness helped him ignore the advice. As he grabbed the two treats from him and went to search for an Okomo that wasn't being treated. It didn't take long to spot her. Large, almost as large as Saga was, and he was considered a giant. A large female Okomo, with a deep brown fur. Though its horns were large and a light shade of purple and white. They seemed to shimmer in the suns dazzling light.

Forgetting the advice almost as immediately as he heard it, he walked up to the Okomo quickly and went to pet its head. It backed away from him slowly. Saga stopped and was going to beckon for him to come back. When he noticed the Okomo shuffle his hooves.

You really did it now.

What-

He was cut off in mid-thought when the Okomo came charging at him. Startled gasps and cries from beside him were heard as the Okomo ran right into the chest of the Akontak. It was like getting hit by a horse, in which he was familiar with. Saga fell backwards onto his butt. The Okomo was backing up to perform another charge. Clearly unhappy with his initial approach.

There was a wave of gasps heard all around as the Okomo headbutted Saga. There was a lone sound of laughter that could be heard as well. Bruised and confused, Saga clutched his chest with one hand and another outstretched towards the annoyed Okomo. There was a brown colored man who seemed to edge past the crowd in an attempt to help him. Beside him was a Konti, the source of a giggling laughter.

They stopped moving towards Saga when they saw his outstretched hand begin to glow. It was a strange source of light unlike any that had seen before. The Akontak willed his mark to produce more light as bright as a torch. And without a word he stood back up, picked up the treat with his free hand. The Okomo stopped shuffling as it stood to watch the light as well.

The crowd that found themselves fearful were no longer scared for Saga, they began to feel much better. The Okomo herself did not seem to be agitated anymore, the aggressive stance that it took with him subsided. Saga held the treat and cupped his hands together. Producing a light in both hands, he pushed only the his positive emotions into his mark.

Giving off a dazzling aura of warming calmness that could be felt form afar. The Okomo could see that Saga was not here to harm her. She began to walk towards him instead slowly. The light began to dim in Saga's hands as she neared him. He lowered his cupped hands and the Okomo came by and began to eat the treats out of his hands.

Forgetting there was crowd there at first, Saga was surprised by the slight applause that slowly began to cascade around him. The crowd of maybe ten or so people, who collectively felt a sense of urgency at the Okomo attacking.

[Sharai Peaks] Enjoying the Festivities

Postby Saga on July 23rd, 2019, 10:54 pm

Besides Riverfall and Syliras, he had not seen such a reaction to these type of small miracles. To most citizens, everything thing magical or divine was considered dangerous. There was a slight prejudice to those that practice and use magic for their own needs. But of course even in city of Lhavit, there were some who could not change those old ways.

Saga had found out about the murder of someone named Elena. And since then there were strange occurrences because of it. There were papers posted along the Gazette board about it, and a mage-identifying mark that left people nervous. The Akontak was used to such dangers before, and was not particularly worried about it. But the threat of being targeted would now loom over him.

The Okomo was now much more friendlier than him now that he had calmed him down and properly addressed the Okomo. He began to pet her and was able to now enjoy his time. Ignoring the bruised chest more began to flock him to surprisingly. Two more Okomo with varying colored horns walked up to him as well. The crowd dispersed after seeing Saga was fine, with their happier spirits the continued on to other activities.

But two figures remained behind and was watching Saga. The Mage looked up at them as he finished giving the last of the treats away. One he could immediately identify as an Ethaefal and the other man was human. The Eth was female, and she was stunningly gorgeous. Her hair was auburn and a gold, long enough to reach her shoulders. Her white horn curved out from her head and pointing upwards. She could not have been any taller than 6 feet.

The man next to her seemed the complete opposite. He was very large and broad shouldered. Clearly he had some training to handle just about any physical activity. His jaw seemed to be large and chiseled, his most standout feature. He gave Saga a curious look, though he did look very intimidating.

"Hello there." He said to them.

Be mindful. They seem...different.

The man seems strange indeed. But the Ethaefel has my undivided attention.

Looks can be deceiving Saga. As I said...be mindful.

The Ethaefal stepped forward with a dazzling smile on her face. "I am Ophi. This is Kane. He doesn't talk very much. We couldn't help but notice your...abilities. How were you able to calm the Okomo down?"
