Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

[Winter 15, 210]

Martin Jogle walked into his room the Cubacious Inn. He had just arrived in the strange town last night, and still had no idea how he was going to stay here, even for just a while. 8 hours here was enough to confuse him to no end. Still, it was the closest thing to a city of magic in Mizahar and he had to at least look around. 'Well, I didn't just come around to think. Time to get down to business.' he thought.

Martin walked over to his chest and pulled out one of the rings that his master had given him before he died. He stopped for a second, sadly remembering the loss of his beloved master, before going back to work. The ring was small, made out of wood, braced with iron then gilded with copper. The ring also had a larger than average iron circle of sorts that also popped out to reveal a wooden cavity. These could act like a base for the ring's intended purpose. Glyphing.

Martin took out his toolkit and placed it on the small desk to the right of his bed. He sat on the chair and opened the toolkit. Taking out a small steel knife, he set upon the ring, carving through the thin copper little by little. He carved the intricate circles and words that his master had taught him. The shapes and characters would soon make a powerful protective device. Little by little, the glyph took its form. When he was done carving the outside, he moved on to the inside. Finally, four hour later, he was finished.

Martin smiled, 'now for the fun part' he thought to himself. He put the metal piece onto the table and, placing the ring onto the middle of the floor, Martin closed his eyes and focused his djed. He thrust his hand out and made an intricate sign with his hands. He knew that this sign didn't do anything, but it helped him concentrate, and concentration was essential for what he was going to do. He said the word for "Shield" in the Ancient Tongue, an ancient language used by Pre-Valterrian Proto-Humans. A green-tinged, almost see through force formed around his hand. It pushed towards the small ring on the floor and formed a protective shell around it. The glyph glowed light blue as it absorbed the shield's power. And then it was done.

Martin picked up the ring, confident that the procedure had been a success. The shield would now activate whenever the activation phrase was said by the wearer. When activated, the glyph created a magical shield around the wearer that covered the entire body. The shield would last until the energy runs out of the sigil, at which point the ring would shatter.

Martin then repeated the procedure with the iron plug portion of the ring. This made sure that the ring had more than one use, as only the plug section of the ring would break after the first use. Finally he was done, the entire process having taken 4 chimes. Martin sighed. He would have to take a short break before repeating the entire process again with his other rings.

[Cubacious Inn] Makin' Somethin' Fancy(Solo)

[Winter 16, 210]

Martin Jogle yawned as he woke up from his deep slumber. He wiped his groggy eyes and stretched. He didn’t even bother looking out the windows, to check what time it is. He could already feel that it was nearly noon and besides, he had no way of knowing wheather the sunlight streaming through the window was an illusion or not. He was in the city of illusions, after all, where nobody can trust their senses.

Martin hopped out of the small bed and went straight to his desk to admire the fruits of last night’s hard work. 5 brass rings, each a double use shielding glyph that could ward off anything from a blast of fire to a broadsword. Martin opened his trunk and pulled out a small loaf of bread. He ate it quickly before starting on his next project. He took some Shuriken out of his back pocket. They were the only weapons that he kept with him, but they were barely weapons at all. The small pieces of metal would fly quite well, and were easy to throw with decent accuracy. However, once hit, they would do almost no damage to the target unless they hit at a very vital area. But these Shuriken, like the rings, were special. The core was made out of wood just like with the rings. Glyphs could be carved onto the wood and could contain shielding as well.
