Early training Day(Denen, OPEN)

Aron had woken early that day, troubled by his performance during the last hunt he had accompanied. The prey they were hunting had run right past Aron and Dera, and he had ment to shoot it down. However he hadnt been able to shoot the target. Anyone else in his group would have made that shot easy, but not he. His shot had flew wide and he had been embarressed by his incompetence. He knew they didnt expect him to do much in the hunt, simply make sure the shields he weaved around there armor held, but he wished to prove himself more then that. So he had gotten up early that morning and prepared himself. He dressed quickly, looking himself over to make sure he was decent. Then he hung his bow accross his back before departing his pavilion. He quickly went and located Dera outside, who had woken up earlier and was grazing.

Rubbing his hand's over Dera's mane relaxed him. With Dera by his side his mistakes didnt seem to matter as much. He almost let the matter go, however he shook his head. He would perfect his archery, no matter what. Nodding to himself, he whispered into the strider's ear "Lets go practice". As always the strider knew what he wanted, before he even finished saying it. And off they went, Aron walking beside his strider till they reached the edge of the tents. Seeing that he had left the tents behind he climbed onto Dera and strung his bow. In his mind he chose targets to shoot at, in the grass. Imaginary animals he would hunt down.

As he prepared to begin practicing he began to doubt himself again. This was foolish, he told himself. Why should he practice this when his role was already chosen? Why perfect his archery when his most useful talent was his shielding. He was just about to unstring his bow when he muttered to himself. "What am I, a coward? Am i affraid to fail?" He sat astride Dera, conflicted with himself. His drive to prove himself warring with his belief that this was futile. He slowly held the bow down in front of him stareing at it. He couldnt decide. He knew if he wasnt going to be practicing he should get back to his pavilion to repair any shields that had worn down recently, yet he couldnt bring himself to turn around. And so he sat quietly, just stareing at his bow in his hand as Dera started to grow restless
