Ilaeari Basic Information: Race: Chaktawe Birthday & Age : 483 AV, 27 Gender: Female Height: 5'8 Weight: 140 lbs Physical Description: Ilaeari has nearly blemish-free, copper-colored skin that is just as smooth as any baby's. Her hair is jet black, and a number of pale white and tan feathers, earthern-made beads, and the occasional bone have been braided into it. Her hair is usually left down, which accentuates her ovular face, and draws a great deal of attention to her coal-black eyes, which contain a second set of translucent eyelids, and long dark lashes, to help protect her from the sand and storms of her homeland. Oftentimes, a single band of white paint can be seen atop each of her eyes, to help keep the sun at bay as well. Her lips are a pale pink, while her nose is small and almost appears to be lost in the center of her face. She has rather long legs, and tiny feet, which tend to tread almost silently across the sands of her homeland. Her arms are relatively long and thin, her hands small, and rather veiny. Her fingers are long, and often tipped with relatively long nails. She has black, freckle-like marks on her fingertips, which allow her to sense disturbances in the air. Her stomach is nearly flat, but not concave-looking. Thin lines of muscle span her hourglass frame, but instead of making her appear thin or emaciated, Ilaeari appears to be rather built up, and truly a force to be reckoned with.

Character Concept: A member of the Suli tribe, Ilaeari has a rather quiet and inquisitive nature. Her family often compares her to a tortoise, a slow-paced being who often retreats into the confines of her shell. Ilaeari is rather shy, and will more than likely take a great deal of time to get to know someone, should she ever choose to get to know them. Generally speaking, Ilaeari is wary of people outside of her immediate family and her tribe. It is not that she is racist or unwilling to get to know them, it is simply that she wishes to observe and study them and their behavior in order to make an educated guess as to how they would react to her presence, and to whether or not she should attempt to spend any time around them. Once she has made a decision to be around someone however, she can easily become a life-long ally and friend. Ilaeari is a firm believer in Makutsi, goddess of all waters but the sea. She is deeply spiritual, and can often be found praying to her or meditating. Although, she isn't the best meditator in the world, due to her easily becoming distracted by the desert noises that surround her. Should this become the case, she can often be found practicing the use of her spear, or talking with one of the people within her tribe. Ilaeari is rather close to her grandmother, and will spend the most time talking to her, as opposed to her father; her mother having died the spring of her nineteenth year of life. Until recently, Ilaeari has never so much as considered leaving her family or her tribe, due to her great fear of change. But nowadays, she is beginning to consider it, as her heart longs for something more. Whether that be love, companionship, the desire for adventure, or something else entirely, Ilaeari cannot be sure.

Character History: Ilaeari has been living just outside of Ahnatep with her family for as long as she can remember. Occasionally, they will pick up their tents and travel to another portion of Eyktol, for a time, but for the most part, they remain in one place. Ilaeari has not had an easy life. As a child, she was rather reckless, and would always get herself into trouble, and as the only child within her family, it was easy enough for her parents to figure out who to blame for every little thing that seemed to go wrong- from various books going missing, to the horse's reins mysteriously being untied from their posts, to the food catching fire. Ilaeari never could get away with anything. Ilaeari spent a good portion of her youth horsing around, and playing pranks on others. She was rather extroverted, and could always be found smiling, and engaging in conversation with her numerous friends, as well as her family, which she was always close with. If not that, she was constantly dragging her friends into her wild schemes and getting them into trouble as well. Even so, her family always knew it was her idea; even if she had her friend doing all the dirty work. All of this changed however when Ilaeari's mother died shortly after her having turned 19 in a hunting accident. Her mother's sudden and rather violent death devastated Ilaeari. It made her feel as though she were missing a part of herself that she could never gain back; no matter how hard she tried. It was then that Ilaeari's entire personality changed. She was filled with sorrow, and often felt as though her heart had been ripped right out of her chest. She could often be found crying off and away from the rest of her family, rocking slightly back to forth, just as her mother used to hold her, rocking her back and forth when she was upset. Now, Ilaeari simply spends a great deal of time thinking of her mother, instead of crying over her, but the time grows less and less as she ages. She realizes that crying will not bring her back, and she always has her memories... and her mother's spear, which was given to Ilaeari by her father shortly after her mother died. Ilaeari has spent a great deal of time bonding with her grandmother and out hunting ever since. She has never been married; nor does she hold a great interest in marrying. She is fairly certain that she is not interested in men, and would make a terrible wife. (This may or may not be true, when one considers the fact that she suffers from low self-esteem). She also hasn't received any proposals, which her family fears is because of the intense sorrow she feels.

Equipment and Possessions: Clothing- a tan suede dress, that falls just above her knees. She often wraps herself in a grey fox-fur shawl during the night. Her arms are covered in black bracelets, and her feet, golden-colored ones. 1 waterskin 1 person tent Backpack- Food for a week 1 set toiletries- soap, brush, comb, razor flint and steel 1 eating knife Heirloom: Her mother's spear. The rod is made of a fine red wood, and is tipped with a sharp black arrowhead, which is bound tightly to the rod with a thin brown leather chord. Two dark brown eagle feathers have been tied to the edge of the chord, and fastened in place with white beads.
