Why did you pick your race?

time to bring this thread a little life again, I chose Kelvic because I wanted to be unique in my own way, I know Kelvic is over done alot of the time but getting to pick my type was the fun part. I chose a Kelvic Fruit Bat, more specifically, an Egyptian Fruit Bat (Egyptian Rousette) and I made her short and mute like myself and it has been fun so far.

I chose to be an isur because, lets face it, the angery little midgets are stronger then a lot of the other humanoid races. They have the phisical toughness to almost never break any bones and the male left arm can actually be used to simply grab a hard swung sword blade with little to no damage. the arm is what won me over. They break boulders twice their size by punching it once or twice and reach into a forge that has been burning all day like it was nothing to play around with melted metal. Since my Ivan is a warrior, i couldnt think of any race that would be better for the part.

I chose to be a Dhani because I liked the idea of being amoral, ruthless and totally hard-hearted snake-person.

I chose to be a Charoda, mainly because the ability to swim underwater and breathe both on land and in sea is an excellent idea to me. Also, I was glad they aren't much like mermaids and mermen as those are very overrated. I picked mine also because I think I'm one of the only ones who are now currently active.

I picked human because I wanted to be Kelvic, cause I like bears, but I figured there would be about 5000000000 Kelvic and I'm not cool enough to be something more unique then human.

I was gonna make an Isur, but I ended up going generic old human.

I chose a human, because I'd had her character concept in my head long before I joined the site, so I already had a very clear understanding of who she was, and could rp with her right away.

I'm planning on creating a Kelvic soon though, I have a similar character already. (Again from before joining here.)

For Ursula I chose Zith/Inarta just because I figured it would be a challenge to incorporate her into a normal society. And her history would give me a lot of material for my flashback/solo thread and I hadn't done one of them yet.

For Arabella I chose Drykas because they are a lot like me, and so is she. Bold and aggressive and very proud. Plus when I was in chat trying to figure out what to be a lot of people suggested it for me She's turned out rather well.

I picked human because I already feel a little in over my head and didn't want to complicate the process any more. Still, I really like what I read about Kelvics.

I picked Inarta because I found them interesting - their society, and their relation with archery and birds.
I like quite a few of the races I saw though, it took me a while to pick
